The "exceptions" only exist on paper. In the article this woman had two C-sections and a third would put her at risk for uterine rupture and future sterility, if not death. When they say there are exceptions, a bunch of lawyers have to agree you're actively dying before doing anything.
The Texas Supreme Court is dominated by men. It should be noted the lawsuit with Amanda Zurawski (sic) and the original court order were written and approved by female judges, before being overturned by male ones.
Then there's the issue of this woman getting charged for even leaving the state to get the procedure. Texas is straight up misogynistic to the bone, and unbelievably cruel. Politicians who don't even know what the fuck a uterine rupture is don't make good doctors, shocker.
These males are the same ones demanding that the government stay out of their lives and mind its own business, while happily using all arms of the state to punish women for anything. Men legitimately think pregnancy is like cooking a Thanksgiving turkey; they genuinely believe there are no risks. And yes, I'm referencing Dr. Cunt here (so named because she hates actual women), but Danielle Jones (don't call her Danielle, dammit) did say, correctly, that pregnancy isn't health neutral. Men still act shocked at post partum depression. Why wouldn't they think pregnancy is no big deal?
