Fatrick will type this character’s name out verbatim, send it into whatever vanity publisher he resorts to, and still never catch on to the joke.
The problem (or I guess cleverness) is that Prongay is a perfectly real surname. And it's one of two things. Either the pests totally do just mean Bob Gay porn, or it was that reference/tie in to the other real Mr Softee killer guy or whatever the fuck that was. Both are equally hilarious because either Pat is extremely dense on a joke name, or he gets to believe the son of an old school conman killer type is after him and that makes him extra special and fluff his ego.

ETA: what the fuck am I even saying? Of course he's not dense, tungsten is dense. This guy is fucking FAT.

Considering this is a guy who "cleverly" satirised Donald Trump with a character named Fonald Plump, Im gonna go with extremely dense.

You guys are all assholes, but I am thankful to Mr. Tomlinson for showing me anyone can write. I never thought anything I'd write would have any worth, not even the idea I have bouncing in my head for a year or so. However, realizing I'd die without even attempting to get it "out there" while Patrick S. Tomlinson would go on to publish several more of his books gave me existential dread that I needed to get this show on the road.

He has got to be lying.

If he had a job, surely the pests at the other place would have figured it out?

It’s possible I suppose that he is working from home, if he has found something like a network monitoring role, in which he watches server activity to check it doesn’t fall over.

It’s usually par the course that you can sit there all day doing something else while the servers tick over.

But the question is, is Fatrick going to think that is beneath him or not?

It’s usually not that well paid, but above minimum wage, and these days it’s commonly covered during office hours by the general IT staff.
So it’s potentially a night job, which could be why he doesn’t appear to be at hooligans as much.

Is there anything else he could seriously do while churning out words all day? Even if he is writing one to ten over and over again, that still actually takes time to do.

If I am not mistaken the brother men found he held a license to be an insurance broker, or adjuster, or salesman or something like that. He claimed it was something he did years ago but the license had still been active recently (and may still be). Its entirely possible he actually does that either full or part-time. And I believe its something that can be done from home. He is probably lying either 1) to make his writing career seem more profitable, or 2) to keep people from finding his employer and pestering them which would likely result in him getting canned.

Looking it up, its apparently only $35 to keep it active every year, so even if he's not working it would be wise to keep that up even as a fallback.
But that does in fact list an employer, so he's probably still doing it. And given he tweets a million hours a day, likely something he can do from home. And that's fine, not going to fault a guy for having a job. If I only sold a dozen or so books a year I'd have to have a job too to afford enough food to keep up my bitch tits so they don't turn into flaps like Ralph's.

Yes I was aware of the Insurance Salesman thing.

Could he do it from home? Like would it involve cold calling or is it more that if people sign up for insurance, he is assigned to them as an agent?

Its who he lists as the employer, some licenses for things require you to have a company or agency or something to qualify for the license, maybe Wisconsin has that going. And yeah, I'm pretty sure you can do that from home because I've called my insurance company like a few days ago to ask about something being covered and their dog was barking so I'm pretty sure that person was at home.

Looking up what an intermediary is for insurance makes me think he's the guy that calls you back after you fill out a contact form asking for more information about taking out a policy. Also he apparently wrote an article a few years about about Obamacare stuff.
