The first post of the exchange I quoted was not going with that perspective, which is exactly my point: the exchange invoked morals/ethics/values/whatever while also simultaneously embracing a perspective that nullified these in the second post. Maybe read next time.

In my opinion, it would ideally be all "no" for everybody. Putting something like race at the center of your identity instead of something like a craft or skill is definitely sub-optimal. I don't know, maybe this is one of the factors leading to economic disparity between the populations of different races.
