Feedback Technical Grievances

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
If so it's smart-ish. 60-90 seconds is the response time of most volumetric ddos mitigation.
tbh first thing i thought is that looks simliar to what free/cheap booters & stressors will do. they usually limit attacks to ~30 seconds with a cooldown so somebody can't just continuously hit something.

dig kiwifarms.st AAAA

Then fix IPv6 on your network, or use Tor.
Already on TOR, but see below:
He could be on one of the many isps that only support ipv4.
I'm not, but that's not what I was asking about. The issue I thought I saw was the SOA record, which threw me because it wasn't what I expected. Null explanation already covered it. Now I'm going to stop replying unless I find another problem, otherwise null will shout at me again.

Kiwis are like onions. What a crazy time we live in. F MEGA for phoneposting, though.

Just reporting si is resolving ipv6 properly and super-sneedy.
I've plugged in a crazy amount of shit to keep our uptime above 0%. It's all borrowed time because once Prong 2 and Prong 3 comes in and they start getting shitter emails, chances are we'll keep none of them.
At what point does contact cogent's legal team via representation become a strategy?
They're claiming you're violating AUP which is false.
Claiming to others that you're serving illegal content which is false.
You have also shown good-faith effort regardless.

Also, again, I urge a direct crowdfunding effort to sue.
I cannot shoulder it alone, but I could put a huge dent into such an expense.
I'm sure there are at least 60 people like me on this forum who would throw 4 figures at such an effort, but can't justify it without someone compiling a list of individual commitments to demonstrate the final target can be met.

I'd love to help fund litigation with this community if it could be demonstrated enough could be raised to do it.
The EFF has been pathetically useless its entire existence.
Turning kiwifarms into the Firearms Policy Coalition of internet freedom (or launching a new foundation in its name to do this) would be a worthwhile endeavor.

All the crowdfunding sites are ideologically captured. If you even try to fund "Help our child sue their school district for trannies in the changing room." It will be deleted at or before the first complaint.

Josh has been deplatformed off almost every way of gathering money that's not crypto or envelopes full of small bills, and even that one is dicey.

If Visa or Mastercard gets a hint of the Terroristic Hate Site using a payment processor to gather money it it will be like the old comics where all that's left is a cloud of dust.

This isn't about 'crowdfunding sites'

This website could be used to organize it.
Prep: Legal feasibility assessment
Step 1: gather pledges of support
Step 2: provide a progress bar of those pledges
Step 3: when that progress bar reaches goal, request tender of payment to lolcow LLC via crypto, "check by internet" into lolcow's bank account (so far as I know, "check by internet" is open source and does not depend visa or mastercard) , or p.o. box
Step 4: sue the fuck out of big tech and win.

After:
Take it on the road, create a separate foundation, spool up donations and help other deplatformed sites go after malefactors

Clearnet in Pasadena, CA is down. Going to check Idaho once I get back from visiting family.

Well, clearnet's not working for me all of a sudden today; not sure if it has anything to do with Null's recent Telegram update. 🤔
Same here, I'm unable to reach .st using Opera's free VPN regardless of the location (Asia, Americas, Europe). Tor appears to manage to find some route to .st however, because it still works there. And .onion is working.

edit: I am guessing this is because other people have mentioned that .st is only accessible via IPv6.
