I doubt this. Now why on earth would I doubt this? I seriously doubt this. Two things:

1. How could you, a presumed animal lover, in good conscience, sit by and watch your partner neglect their pets to the point you have a phorrid fly farm going on from the rot produced from used bedding, old food, and bodily waste? Even if the pet is an animal you don't particularly like (i.e., a snake), how would you be OK with the smell and the filth produced from it? I could never lay down next to someone who knowingly neglects an animal like this for so long, in our own home. I don't like pit bulls but I can't imagine just ignoring my hypothetical S.O. letting his starve on a two foot chain outside. This isn't the win "Alex" thinks it is.

2. Having a cat live to 13 isn't really anything to write home about, especially if they're indoor only. They're particularly hardy creatures (even when left to their own devices outside) and if you're doing just the bare minimum for the cat (cheap food, tap water, vet visit once a year hopefully) you can expect the kitty to live for at least a decade safely, barring any health issue you can't really prevent or control like cancer. The teens are where a cat's health issues can start to "pop off," so call me when this cat has made it to 18.

It would actually be kind of a hoot if they took down one of these operations and the information listed an attack specifically on us, but we wouldn't be the motivation for the prosecution.
