The podcast is his therapy session. He has no one to talk to at all. His parents and wife hate him. His fans are literal retards that he deems to be below him. He needs these sessions more than anything else. I have an annoying old neighbor like that. She has been a Karen her whole life to the extent that her own son didn't even invite her to his wedding 3 years back. Nobody likes her. If she wasn't such a cunt, I would feel sorry for her. She is nice to be, but she would ramble and complain about her life for hours at a time if I would let her. It's severe loneliness.
It's the worst Therapy I've ever seen. His chat is only full of yes men and actual retards. And anyone who tries to push back or ask questions gets the Rope-a-Dope.

"Oh you say I should play this Indie game? Well I WANT to play more Indie games but I'm not dropping everything for a game no one has heard of. Stop being entitled. I'm not stopping my life so i can play some memester game. I just wanna chill."

and his chat goes:
"I'm leaving for bed DSPgaming."
"Please post up YOUR personal picks for the best playthroughs"
"it time go"
"Please post up YOUR personal picks for the best playthroughs"
"Goodnight @DSPgaming. I have to go to bed"
"Please post up YOUR personal picks for the best playthroughs"
"Please post up YOUR personal picks for the best playthroughs."
"yeah I won't be around for an Indie game."
"@DSPgaming I'm going to bed!"

And Phil goes:
"Slayer says he won't be here if i drop this game. No one wants me to drop everything for some random memester game no one's played. *sip* Yes Derich. I said goodnight."

He uses everybody as a shield for his shitty takes. And anyone who can back up what they say with facts or logic gets banned. They are a liar and white noise.
Hot Take. It should be illegal to live like this.

Nah. It just should be legal, socially accepted and rewarded to call people like this faggots in public before dumping their books and shoving them into the nearest enclosed space.

Who the fuck is excited for Tekken? I didn't even know the series was still alive. I'd be willing to bet that the only people who buy and play it will be extremely skilled at the series, so I expect this to be a faster quit than MK1.
Given how quickly he ragequit T7, I have high hopes for his single day of online play before he eats shit against a competent Panda or Azucena.

Alright, I want to talk about a few things from the prestream today. If you can stomach it, I'd recommend watching it for yourself, because Phil was being extra mentally ill today.

Several times throughout the podcast, I had to ask myself "Who is he talking to?" In fact, someone in chat asked the same thing, and Phil got pissy and made retard noises at them. He was doing the same things he normally does - going off on unprompted tangents, and pretending that there are different people who watch him day to day, or stream to stream, but it just felt.. weird. It's kind of hard to put into words, or maybe it's all in my head, who knows. Anyway, there were also some bold faced lies, some of which, were debunked by Phil himself later in the podcast.. like he was snitching on himself, I guess, because he forgot the lie he just told shortly before? I don't know. This podcast was so fucking weird. Also, no timestamps in this one - the website barely works right now, and I can't be fucked. Sound good? Are we good?.. Does that sound good?... Okay.

Phil opens it up by talking about his Patreon. He begins this segment by making it seem like it's weird, or unexpected, for him to be streaming tonight, instead of taking the night off for private patreon stuff. Like he's trying to normalize the idea that he may not be streaming on Sunday nights, or at least not every Sunday night, so that may be a bit of foreshadowing for the upcoming year. Phil says that his Patreon nets him "a few hundred dollars a month, or something like that, if I'm lucky" , and then says that he only does these videos for "one or two people."

This Patreon thing has transitioned into a pretty nice money maker for Phil. It's a way for one or two people, which means Slayer and maybe, occasionally, some sock account/larp account type deal, to funnel Phil several hundred dollars behind the scenes every month. Phil has decided that these patreon videos are worth his time, so much so, that these Sunday night streams are just no longer important. Why sit around and actually have to play a game, and maaaybe make fifty bucks, probably less, when he can spend a few hours cranking out straight up react slop, just fucking phoning it in, and be guaranteed $100 an hour from a warehouse worker in Singapore?

Phil starts talking about this Like A Dragon game that he's playing, and he says that, from the time he's spent playing it, he's found that it's the perfect night time chill game. As if he didn't bill this game as being the night time chill game for a fucking month leading up to it's release, and for the entire time he's been playing it so far. He says this.. as if it's some new revelation that's just come to him. And this kind of what I mean when I said I was thinking "Who the fuck is he talking to?" Everyone in the stream chat, everyone who shows up to the night streams, everyone who watches on demand, everyone who follows Phil on twitter - they all know that this game is the night time chill game, they've known it for a long time, Phil literally tells them every single day that this is the night time chill game, and yet here he is, telling this to us, again, but as if he's realizing for the very first time that Like A Dragon is a good game to play on the night streams.

It's not even just that he's said it ad nauseam, because that's DSP 101, right? Just repeat the same shit over and over as if you need to, or as if anyone gives a fuck, or whatever, but it's like.. Who is this for? If it were anyone else, anyone other than DSP, you wouldn't be in poor company to think that this very obviously 60 year old man who's face seems to be sliding off of his face has some sort of serious cognitive issues, that result in him, not only constantly repeating things, but.. realizing things for the first time, again?

I know I'm over analyzing, and I think this thing Phil is doing becomes a bit clearer as the podcast goes on, but.. it doesn't make it any less weird.

Alright, anyway.. so Phil continues talking about Like A Dragon, and he goes through the same spiel he always does, about how this game doesn't make him very much money, but it's chill and meaningful or whatever, but then he veers off into a tangent about trolls. He says that, alotta peepul say, that he only plays games that will bring him money and views. Phil assures us that this is untrue, and these people are just stupid and moronic. Now again, this is something that's pretty normal for Phil - rant about trolls who say I only play games for money, but the rant doesn't stop there.

He lists off a few of the games that he's currently playing and mentions that they aren't very well supported, but it all evens out in the end. And then he circles back to the trolls and says "I love how there as these people who come in here and say these stupid things that aren't true because they're just circle-jerking losers who want to shit on me, etc." But.. they aren't doing that. No one is saying that in his chat. The way Phil said it, "there are these people who are coming in here and saying" .. would make you think that these people are in his chat, storming the fucking gates right now, but they aren't. So I'm wondering... who is he talking to? Why did we veer off so fucking hard from "Like A Dragon is chill" to "Trolls are coming in here and making up lies about me!" It's just weird, and mind you, this is the first ten minutes of the podcast.

To touch on Fightcade a bit more, Phil brings it up, and the first thing he says is that it's very primitive - you actually have to join rooms and send people invites, and it's a lot of work. He then says he's apprehensive about using it, because like @JPG pointed out, the trolling. Phil says that "people" have already warned him that there are chatrooms that you cannot block, and DM's you cannot stop. However, these "people" also told Phil that there are, in fact, workarounds to avoid these things from popping up while you play the game, so.. despite these people, whoever they are, informing Phil about these trolling tactics, and telling him exactly how to avoid them, way in advance, the trolling is still putting Phil on the fence about using Fightcade. Then of course, he rants about the "tryhards." He says that these people sit on Fightcade all day long and try to win "by any means neccessary" because they are so obsessed with winning.

Phil seems to know everything about Fightcade, despite never playing it. Also.. didn't Phil say a few days ago that someone sent him a guide on how to set it up, and that he already has the application downloaded on his computer? It seems like he's regressed from that point - like he was almost completely geared up and ready to play it just a few days ago, and now he's backpedaled on it very hard. Speaking of backpedaling, Phil says that he is craving these old 2D fighting games, and then says that he is "one of the best players in the world" at Marvel vs. Capcom 1. After saying that, in the same breathe, he walks it back and says he used to be one of the best in the world, and then he reveals that he's not going to be playing Fightcade any time soon.

Phil gets a tip. He doesn't say who it's from, he doesn't even say how much money it is. He says, "I've received a tip" and then he spends ten seconds silently reading it to himself, before revealing that it's a troll tip. Now.. Phil gets troll tips all the time. Just about every single day. It's normal, for Phil. However, before telling us who the tip is from, or how much money is included, or even what the tip message says, Phil says that he needs to bring up the $200 "troll tip" from last week.

Now right here, I have to pause. Like I just mentioned, Phil gets troll tips all the time. He's gotten troll tips recently, since that $200 tip, you know, the one he told people they should not be mentioning. He got a troll tip that called him "fuckface" just a few days ago. So, why is it, that when Phil gets a troll tip, today, he is immediately reminded of the specific "troll tip" from last week, and feels the need to go in depth, explaining it, after telling people not to fucking bring it up?

Well, Phil begins to inform us, again, about that $200 tip, and then he says something that I feel, kind of explains some of the weirdness in this podcast. Phil says, specifically, to the people watching who may be new viewers, that it is not normal for him to get $200 tips. Phil says "There is no one that comes in and regularly is dropping these ginormous tip bombs or anything like that, right? It's a community effort, you know, a little contribution here and there, it adds up. That's how I make my living."

So, a few things here. Firstly, as we all know, this is a straight up lie. Phil's entire livelihood is upheld by just a few mega-whales who get no greater joy in life than depositing their paychecks directly into Phil's Paypal account. We know this, the people who regularly watch DSP know this, however, the new viewers do not. The people Phil is going out of his way to spin this narrative to, would have no fucking idea about this. So Phil is lying to people who are unfamiliar with him, in an attempt to make them feel as if they should want to give him money, because he has no sponsorships, and, apparently, he has no large contributors, and it's all of the one dollar tips and five dollar tips from the community of chill, positive viewers, who allow Phil to make a living, but just a living, barely, and nothing more, so please support.

This is sooooo incredibly deceptive, and manipulative. This is the kind of shit that people who only exist on the outer edge of the vortex do not see. This is pyschopath shit, this is a scam, this is something that only someone who is absolutely rotten to the fucking core can do, and its such a great example of why DSP is an actual fucking goblin. The fact that he can say this, to new people, in front of the old people, and just pretend that it's true, and use it as a bargaining chip, is proof positive of the fact that DSP has no fucking moral compass whatsoever.

Secondly, there are no new people. Huhhh????..... Phil has 300 fucking viewers. Just about everyone in chat has a green name. So Phil is spinning this whole thing, for people that aren't even there, but he thinks they are there, for some reason.. so.. who is he talking to?? Is he this deluded? Is he this far gone from reality? Is he trying to pretend like there are new people, to the old people, because.. I dont know why? Is this all some sort of 4D Chess Pignosis Mind Control technique? I just don't fucking get it, dude.

Thirdly, Phil chose his words very carefully, here. Phil has whales, right? A few of them. But Phil said "there is no one that comes by and blah blah" No one, singular. Considering that Phil does, somewhat regularly, get $100 tips and massive membership bombs from real people like NDO, and "real fake people", like the accounts that are created and used and replaced, something which Phil has acknowledged, recently, I find it interesting that Phil did not say "We don't have anyone who comes by and whales" - he said "No one comes by and whales" Now you might say that Phil was just using simple speak, or whatever. And you may absolutely be correct, and I may be massively over analyzing, but keep in mind that this whole fucking segment started because Phil got a troll tip, which made him mention another very specific troll tip, and now for absolutely no reason he's denying that he has whales, again.

Oh, and remember how Phil said he receives several hundred dollars a month, from one or two people, via Patreon? That also doesn't happen, I guess.

Phil spends ten minutes - ten real world Raw Phil minutes explaining to "new viewers" all about Paypal, and chargebacks, and detractors who are actually his biggest fans, and all of this bullshit, ending the whole thing by saying that he hopes that this "troll" is really enjoying his Baldur's Gate 3 playthrough, and is getting his "money's worth" out of it, before finally telling us that he received this $12 tip, from "someone who is being listed as anonymous" and then he says, that they said a detractor meme in their tip message, and that he can't trust it. So again today, he did not add this tip to the total.

In an act of extreme benevolence, Phil opens the suggestion box. He spends a few seconds reading over them, and hand picks a suggestion that he thinks he can easily shit on.

The comment is "Don't bring up trolls, detractors, haters, or other creators every stream, and then say that you're above the drama." In repsonse, Phil asks the question "Outside of the troll tip, did I bring up trolls today?" and then he grabs his chin and looks into the camera very smugly, before going into another tangent. For the record, yes, he did bring up trolls. In the beginning of the podcast when he was talking about Like A Dragon, and then out of left field, he started talking about imaginary trolls who are coming into his chat and making up lies about him. It's astounding, how a comment from the suggestion box, from two months, so accurately described today's podcast. This suggestion box comment devolves into a massive rant from Phil. He spends some time just deboonking this comment, and then relying on his ypical narrative that people drag him into drama, and there's nothing he can do.

But then, for no reason, Phil brings up the Turkey Tom documentary. Remember how Phil said, multiple times, that multiple people told him that the Turkey Tom video was accurate, and non-negative? This has been retconned. The Turkey Tom video is now a slanderous video full of detractor lies, which Tom made all for personal gain. And even though, again, multiple times, Phil told us that he would be open to talking to Tom further, or even doing an interview with him, Phil now says that it was Tom who was soooo pushy about trying to get Phil to talk to him, all so he could "milk him" and then Phil said that Tom tried to walk this back, but unfortunately for Tom, the internet is forever.

Phil, somehow, turns this victim segment, into a positivity segment. He says that all of these people, the Turkey Toms and the Sidescrollers, making videos about him, are actually good publicity, because, apparently, these videos are so obviously mortally bankrupt, and apparently, everyone is able to recognize it, so it actually makes Phil look good, and it makes all of these people look like shit. Phil is basically, figuratively, jerking himself off this during this segment. He's grinning through his fucking teeth as he proclaims that these people are all just mad that Phil is still around, and he's not going anywhere, because he's not susceptible to their negativity.

Of course, this devolves into a SideScrollers segment, again. A lot of it is the same stuff we've already heard, but there are a couple new bits. The first is that, Phil claims that he has had no contact, with anyone from the Sidescrollers, after the interview. This is false of course, because Travis came into Phil's Youtube chat one night, after Phil, supposedly, would not approve his Youtube comments. You can see Phil literally, completely change his demeanor once he sees Travis in his live chat.

But if this isn't good enough, shortly after saying this, Phil tells us that he actually did the SideScrollers a solid, and emailed them about some email impersonator who was trying to.. impersonate them, I don't know. It felt very tacked on to this rant. Regardless, Phil just told us that has had contact with them, and he was the one who initiated it. Very cool.

Phil rants about the Sidescrollers for like 25 minutes.

Alright, that's it. Phil may have been acting weird because he was trying to speak as if he had this new viewership.. I don't know. It's like he put the idea of new viewership in his head, from the First Baldur's Gate stream, and now he's continuing with this narrative even though there are only 300 people in his chat. Regardless, it's weird.

I think Phil is regressing, mentally. We're at the point where he is literally talking to trolls who aren't in the room, as if they are. He's lashing out on twitter about a professional street fighter player being a laggy, cheating spammer. And he's completely retconning major things, like his brief brush with Turkey Tom, which was very positive and cordial the entire way through, until today, apparently. Like all of that stuff just didn't happen.

Another thing I've noticed lately, is that Phil has started, maybe once a week, bragging about how he is still around, despite the constant efforts of.. people who make documentary videos, or detractors.. whoever they are, they hate this, supposedly. And every time Phil pulls this card out, he grins through his fucking teeth, and it just seems so out of touch, so .. unnecessary, and it makes him seem unstable.

It seems like he's started to wear his mental illness on his sleeve. For the past several months, I've frequently been surprised at how mentally ill he behaves on a particular stream, or the lengths he'll go to just to hit a fucking vest goal. I'm not saying we're at the end - we're not, but it really does feel like, in general, we're just circling the drain at this point.

Why does he keep saying Akimbo? As far as I'm aware Akimbo is the hands on hips pose that Superman does or Steven Urkel. But he keeps saying it when he talks about CoD?

Trolls lost. @King of Hateful Slurs posted the name of the fucking gun. It's not my fault and quite frankly I'm done with the drama.

@clothes in my closet I was under the impression that the troll who sent the $200 charges it back and that's what had Phil so uptight.

Nobody tell Phil his pistols got nerfed days ago

To steal something from St. Phil the Infalliable and reappropriate it, DSP needs to be taken away by the whitecoats for his own wellbeing.

babyrage tantrum from yesterdays SF6 stream
I really gotta wonder how he acted at actual tornaments in person. I bet he was muted all the time and would take every L, shuffle off stage without saying GG or anyting, then crawl up to the most expensive hotel room he could get with a credit card and bitch and moan about how unfair it was while getting drunk on booze.
This is too much variety.. apparently
Isn't DSP a variety streamer?

This must have been what it was like to be in the Hitler Bunker at the end of WW2 listening to the man himself rant and rave about Steiner and being betrayed by everyone and how he is still alive and can turn this around.

Phil's antics on Tekken 7 was one of the first exposures to the Pig for me. He will certainly do his usual schtick of dragging out the offline game modes before dare venturing online with the usual excuse of "learning the character".

Just egregious play from my recollection. His one saving grace about SF that there was a time he was somewhat competent in the series (even if its some bs console port of SF Turbo) while he has nothing to show for Tekken besides a supposed trophy he "won" playing Tekken 3 at a mall.

Either lose in a newer game for a series you have little care for or lose in older titles you played by players who know the game better than you ever did. Pick your poison Phil.

My thoughts on the whole pre-stream thing today, and these are just thoughts.

-I think BG3 really hit Phil hard. He's been bragged about that stream getting 1.4k viewers, but detractor restreamers were also getting thousands of viewers split between all of them.
-Phil likely believes that the spike of 1.4k brought in some new people since more popular streams get recommended more in the algorithm by youtube. That's why he's doing all this cult shit lately. He's making sure that any 'new people' know that he needs donations from more than just his usual whales. It's also important that he gets them into this whole Us vs Them mentality that he sets up with his paypigs since many of them donate to spite detracters (This isn't a thing, no one's upset that you're donating to Phil, we're laughing cause it's pathetic and ultimately makes your life worse).
-He's been doing his usual gaslighting of "Chill and positive" like crazy lately to hit the 'new people' with it and get them in on the pignosis. Remember: Phil's setup a walled garden for himself and his cult as it's near impossible to get through it since youtube comments require manual approval, his tweets are locked off, his live chat requires a 24 hour sub to use, and his chat is full of mods (Who are ban happy even if a new person did come in and were curious).
-I do believe that Phil has been watching Detractor content lately, especially Doody. If you notice, he's been attempting to squash the theories they've been putting out. A lot of people were pointing out that he was going to get his ass stomped in Fightcade by no-lifers in those games. They've also been pointing out all the SF6 rage and snoozefest yakuza and robocop streams. I also think this is part of the whole BG3 fiasco. He's trying to get a gauge on how many total people were watching his restream and the narratives to nip them in the bud. He's probably drinking gin, pretending to watch Kat play games, pulling hogans in wwe champions, and listening to detractors in his free time lately.
-Phil really does need to cut down to streaming 5 days a week. I think he's trying to gauge this himself right now. I think if he cut down to 5 days a week, he'd get the same amount of donations from his usual paypigs since they likely set weekly budgets for themselves to donate to Phil (Kys if you're reading this and do this). Phil's testing those waters himself.
-On top of that last one. He mentioned this last week that he's wanting to do a political show and the react content is a 'success'. God, can you imagine a political show? Would likely be him shilling for Nikki Haley for 2 hours. FFS, she attracts fucking head-in-the-sand idiots like Phil. He could also be trying to branch away from video games to test the waters, cause everyone can see that he fucking hates playing video games. Remember: He NEVER talks about what video games he played the previous night or on his day off on any of the podcasts, cause he doesn't play any aside from WWE champions, so he has no stories to tell.
-Major theorycrafting: I wonder if a major paypig gave that 200 dollar dono that he claimed was a troll, but told Phil that he was signing off due to his attitude. Even the paypigs wanted Phil to play BG3 and even they were noticing that he was being toxic with the game. That could be maybe why he's been going nuts with the dono talk lately.

I think Dave is genuinely delusional when it comes to the BG3 premiere, I forget how many viewers he had exactly but you could tell that getting over 1k people watching made his chest puff up, and that why I think we have these moments when he's addressing new people.
I think $200 troll tip is was a lie but also a way for him to try to convince some retards in his chat, possibly of the newly dented kind that his trollz are just that insane.
He's just trying to spin a narrative to go along with the guy who sabotaged his internet imo

PoliticalSydePhil would be Twitter regurgitation along with some fence sitting. Dave is primarily terrified about getting banned on Youtube, which is why that's as likely as him ever playing Fightcade.
Most of us have seen how well that went for fellow lolcow boogie doing pilitard stuff combined with the habitual fence sitting and victim shit
