I'm not demented to believe a fictional work of pure teen romance between two characters is problematic in itself.
It's one and respectable thing to not like Japanese media, but the inane virtue-signal whining and obsessing over the age of fictional characters are another. Unfortunately, I suspect people working at Sony California, Nintendo of America and the american localization of game companies to mostly fall under the latter category.

It's probably a knee-jerk reaction to how sick society has become, which is understandable. He was implying there's a perceivable age difference between anime characters aged 17 & 18, which is admittedly a bit ridiculous, but it's a preferable ridiculousness to degeneracy at least.

GT7's MTX are horrendously bad. $2M in game is $20. The most expensive, time based cars are $20M in game. That's $200 for a single car. Most of them don't have events. For comparison Forza asks like $2-3 a car pass car, and has 600 (FM) or 800 (FH5) cars to begin with before you buy those. GT7 has just shy of 500, but a huge chunk of them, 30-40%, are fictional cars, duplicates, slightly different trims of existing cars, etc. There's little variety.
Granted, nothing is locked behind a pay wall, just a mindless 30 hour grind wall and then hold onto your money for 3 months and wait until it comes back.
Oh and you can only sell it for 2/3rd of what you bought it for. Despite GT actively bragging about realistic car prices via Hagerty
The entire game, down the to event structure, is based around moving these mtx sales. Everytime you buy ANYTHING you're prompted with "want to top up on Playstation store?". Even the level system is based on HOW MUCH MONEY you spend on cars.
Yet GT fans will swear up and down that the game NEVER pushes the mtx and that they're absolutely unnecessary....despite 35% or so of the base admitting they've bought them

There's nothing wrong with people having hobbies. Maybe the guy works constantly and is otherwise always with his family, so he can't find time to indulge his interests. God forbid he skips out part of a Ross shopping trip here or there to fit in some reading/gaming/whatever.
Of course, it's just as likely he shuns his wife and Platinums every Soyny release day 1, who knows.

Lootboxes and pandering to whales have just destroyed the concept of the player having fun with the base game experience and DLCs/expansion packs adding content rather than delivering content already there but chopped and screwed.

The worst part is that they HAVE potential to be good things, but the pay-to-win aspects are what takes the shotgun to the game's knees. Majority of them are RPG's that when you play them are fun,
Figure Fantasy is one of them, but you really can't play it to it's full potential unless you're a whale. It's basically anime Toy Story, and you can pretty much play with whomever you want including the non-human grunts that have some cool skills on them. But anything lower than gold/yellow rank is level capped. Grunts are always at 100, and purples can't go over 160. And getting the yellows/golds are a pain in the ass because the RNG drops are EXTREMELY unfavored, especially if you're trying to build a specific team.
