Is there a reason everyone likes Shinji so much? I mean, he seems nice, but unless I'm missing it, I haven't seen him do much? Cole makes sense, he's been doing a lot and showcasing his personality, but every time I see Shinji, he either isn't talking or if he is, he isn't saying much or doing much either, so the popularity confuses me.

Nope, Jimmy is a real tard as far as I can tell. My money's on Brian. Jimmy's here to stir shit and look suspicious, so Brian doesn't seem like so much of a plant. Sam constantly asks Brian for genuine advice and insight, and also had him give Jimmy a talking-to earlier. Why would he trust a non-member of staff with such a task? Consider:

Brian lays on the couch, seemingly sleeping. Everyone's retired to their bedrooms. Tay flushes a toilet and he jolts up then looks around, opens his mouth and winks at the camera then lays back down. So I guess he's either laying there eavesdropping quietly just in case or this is simply another of his "wink wink nudge nudge can you guys tell I'm the plant?" moments, of which we've had a few.

Others would be when Ben asked him "are you jealous?" in one of the hallways out of nowhere and he immediately started riffing and doing a bit instead of simply being startled by this sudden question. Or when Sam had the one-on-one with him and sat there letting Brian give him the rundown of every fish, who shit-talked them immensely as he did it, instead of grilling him with probing questions like he did everyone else. Brian eventually smirked and laughed like a cartoon villain near the end of this, it felt entirely deliberate. He fully expects the audience to be onboard with his plant shenanigans. Don't forget that Sam introduced him as "the hot guy" and laughed out loud when one of girls concurred with this notion during one of his one-on-ones.

I think he has a natural magnetic personality + he seems genuine. If anything I'm shocked Tay is as popular as she is. For my money Meg, TJ, and Tay need to go.

Tay actually makes sense to me. She's kind of nerdy, she's pretty positive and and upbeat. She seems like someone who would be fun to hang out with. I know people joke that she looks like a troon, but I think she looks fine in a nerdy tomboy way, and can see the appeal among autistic dudes.
