I'd argue the vast majority of people who are billionaires aren't any more or less intelligent than your average schmuck. At this point the Democrats only option is a strategic retreat, ceding territory they can no longer hold culturally, damn the consequences or chances of getting that ground back in their lifetime and praying that in 50-100 years, everyone's memories will have faded long enough for them to try again. They can't win, their only options are losing everything and retreating and saving what they can

Yeah I thought that when the DC circuit unjustifiably violated Trump's attorney-client privilege, when Biden violated the constitution in 3 different ways by retroactively reclassifying documents and retroactively rescinding a previous admin's executive privilege (both of which constitute ex post facto and/or issuing a bill of attainder, violates article 2 enumerated powers of the previous administration, and violates the 200 year old precedent of "original classification authority"), and when Alex Jones appealed to the supreme court after being declared "in default" for failing to produce "discovery" that was not under his legal control.

I have very little faith in this supreme court to do the right thing.

In 2018 the entire house leadership openly called for mobbing conservatives, including lawmakers, in restaurants and in the streets.
They openly encouraged violence, culminating in a mass shooting of a GOP baseball game that nearly killed Majority Whip Scalise.

To this day Scalise does not acknowledge this.
