"Baby trans" reminds me of "baby goths" from the Goth fad back in the day. Only, the bodily mutilation of the goths and other alternatives didn't involve chemical castration, usually didn't involve genitals, and still fell within the confines of "not until you're 18."

We are gathering to help a beloved friend and amazing community member who has given so much to the trans community by guiding young trans women in their transition, creating and running programs for QTBIPOC youth, advocating for us and so so much more. Whenever someone needed support, company at an appointment, some advice or a lift, she has always been there.
Our friend is undergoing facial feminization surgery in Mexico in December 2023 and we wanted to show our support by creating this fundraiser to help her cover the costs.
Most trans affirmative surgeries for trans women are not covered because they are deemed as cosmetic surgery. We know that these surgeries are vital for survival in a world where being visible trans is not safe and negatively affects mental health.
We hope to be able to fund 29,870 CAD to cover the fees. We want to help relieve the financial burden on the shoulders of our beloved friend, to show her our love, and to let her know that we have got her back as much as she has got ours.
Spread the word to your friends, family, allies, influencers, and everyone that can pitch in. Share widely on social media, please! If we can find 30 people who can donate 1,000 CAD/each, we’ll reach our goal!!

Here’s the breakdown of the money needed to cover all fees for our friend and her caregiver:
Surgery fees: 22,618 CAD
Housing and food for her and her caretaker = 2,350 CAD
Two plane tickets = 3,807 CAD
Medication, post-op care and appointment fees = 805 CAD
Cleaning fees for safe environment post op = 150 CAD
Transportation fees = 140 CAD
