There is nothing wrong with making Cogent live up to their own rules. If they have a policy of cutting off ISPs who allow websites that host content that violates their broad content policy, then they should enforce it rigorously, fairly, and thoroughly.

Not to be too mean on Josh, but I wonder how many of these lost platforms are because of crappy computerized systems controlling society at large?
It's no secret that "Null" is a four-letter-word to certain computer systems that translate out to 'no value input'.

Computer enjoyer here, you are wrong because his user name doesn't ever get passed directly into shitty systems. The only things that could plausibly cause an error like that are domain names and IPs, and I don't think "kiwifarms.net" is equivalent to "NULL" in any RDBMS. Besides, systems that handle domain names and IPs are probably well-tested and that bug would've been triggered in 1990 or whenever when somebody registered null.com anyway.

People need to understand that "doxing" isn't actually illegal. It's only illegal if you gain the information through illegal means (i.e through phishing, hacking or fraud). If someone posts a picture on the Internet and then someone figures out where they live based on context clues within that photograph, that's not a crime.
