Never Back Down '24 / Ron DeSantis' Online Influencers / The DeSantoids - Florida Man Violates Federal Regulations to Hire Internet Retards, Nukes Own Career

Even the rough draft here is already a much better report and historical record of the rise and fall of DeSantis than anything a "journalist" could put together
It pains me to do so, but I have to give jo*rno scum their due here. I did observe the insanity of a campaign acting this way and heard the rumors, but with out reporting I wouldn't have been comfortable in piecing together the behind the scenes struggles or probably even been willing to commit to the 'Ron was brought down by his wife's ambitions' camp either. But now that I see the through line, the whole thing becomes even more nuts.

Late and kinda boring, but hey, why not.
Because this primary is boring, really, and any fun to be had was spread over like five A/H threads. It may just be my special brain, but I find it interesting to peer into the inner workings of a presidential campaign as it implodes in real time filtered through twitter retards. That and it's like watching the Lions creep up to 0-16 but no one talking about it. Why is no one acknowledging the train wreck? They attacked a morning talk show host personally as a sell out Trump Cultist despite Ron being on the show the next week! And it's not just insane people, it's paid staffers, this is all paid for. And they probably violated FEC regulations to do it.

Roe had had success as Glenn Youngkin's campaign manager and slightly less success as Ted Cruz's 2015 manager
If you had to boil the OP down to one line it would be this.

Cruz was a joke. Youngkin only won because that troon raped a girl in a Virginia school, the school board covered it up, and the victim's dad got dragged from a school board meeting by police and branded a "terrorist." Youngkin's opponent stood with trans kids and the school board IIRC. A Republican Mister Potato Head could've beaten the Democrat in Virginia that year. This campaign manager a piss-poor track record that anyone with a brain could've seen coming.

Really good thread. DeSantis should look into the organization that Nikki Haley is using for her online astroturfing. At least they look real to boomers who don't know that astroturfing is a thing.

Ron should consider himself lucky if he is able to slither his way back to Florida. That may be where the real milk comes out because he’s in the middle of his Disney lawsuit. If he loses governorship while the suit is going on the house of mouse will tear him to shreds

Thanks for this thread. As a foreigner who is very much outside baseball, the British Right were fellating DeSantis as an anti-woke crusader without any skeletons in his closet and a good record of getting shit done without being insane - basically everything Trump said he was, but wasn't. But about 18 months ago they suddenly shut up about him and the next I hear is that he can barely scrape onto the ballot and his ratings are in the toilet. We weren't told why because the people who shilled for him didn't want to look stupid so they just pretended they never did it. It's really interesting to know how his campaign went up in flames. I fear for British politicians like Kemi Badenoch who show similar promise but may attract the wrong crowd of retards and obliterate themselves.

Max Nordau is Bryan Griffin and Stinson Norwood is Jeremy Redfern, btw. Source.
While it's funny to watch Max freak out at being called Bryan, I actually doubt this. For the simple reason Griffin is Catholic and Max since 10/7 has been sperging out the way only Jewish neuroticism can accomplish. It could be an Irish guy constructing an alternate identity as a Seinfeld character but I don't particularly believe it.

I've bounced off every attempt to understand British politics, but this is beyond a bad campaign. This is so unimaginably stupid many assume it's some sort of set up or murder/suicide mission. Politicians have been by destroyed with poorly conceived runs before, but generally it's because it came out they were fucking their press secretary or something else comes to light under scrutiny. This is all self inflicted in a perfect storm of.. all of it with little media coverage. Whether this exposes Ron as a smoke show he's always been or it was one really bad choice he might not recover from, who knows until the books are written.

And I don't want to leave the graphic designers out.

'Enter your name for a chance to meet a visibly uncomfortable Ron DeSantis and get killed by a MQ-9 Reaper drone!' Or is the implication he's debating a drone?

OP, are you aware of Wyatt's thread on DeSantis's failing campaign from August? Wyatt's a weeaboo politisperg who's forever making banger threads, getting banned and reincarnating on alts. This particular tread was insightful, got boosted by people like Pedro Gonzalez and @Aristos_Revenge, and may have caused positive changes (too little too late) in Ron's strategy. Archive:

Would generally be curious whether your impressions of the campaign line up with his. I tuned out back in autumn and haven't kept track since then, so thanks for this thread and the comprehensive wrap-up.

I know this is about the endless meltdowns around this guy rather than the guy himself. But I can't say I'm surprised a guy who makes strange emotional meltdown faces every time he is asked a challenging question, wears booster heels, is obsessed with culture war, once worked in Guantanamo Bay, and talks like a pedantic reddit nerd attracts this sort of drama.

Good OP. We have a lot potential cows with this one. A lot of these people are weirdos who could have threads on their own if they produced a little bit more material.

There is a quite a few lessons that can be taken away from DeSantis's downfall. The first is that no one likes a socially awkward, robotic personality that comes off more as a dork in public appearances. Trump for all his personality flaws has a sort of image that people view either as suave, commanding or entertaining in a way that DeSantis has none of. For a little while online influencers tried to craft that image for Ron, but eventually he had to take the stage himself and his real personality was displayed for everyone to see.

The second is that GOP politicians need to stop listening to most conservative media personalities because at they end of the day they have no idea what they are talking about and don't have the reach to potential voters that they think they do. Most of them also turn people off with their behavior because a lot of them are actually deeply unstable people.

The third, and one that is most heard to hear especially to users of this forum, is this: a lot of the modern cultural war issues really aren't the winning issue that people think they are. It is not that they aren't important in some way. But a lot of this issues are oversimplified by conservative media personalities and many of said personalities don't really have proper solutions or can even identify the real issue at play behind them. Trump knew in 2016 how to strike at culture issues that really are important and also that voters actually have concerns about.

Not OP but I find some of that to be accurate but the author seems to hate Trump to a degree that makes me suspect.

I'm not convinced that Republicans see DeSantis as a RINO... my anecdotal discussions with conservatives make me think they see DeSantis as a dumbass rather than a RINO.

Then again is there a difference?

Overall he seems somewhat accurate concerning events and less accurate concerning motives and personalities. In my opinion.

Yeah. This was from the 'nothing really happens' epoch over the summer. I agree with his assessment that Ron squandered the summer waiting for Trump to start falling and failed to make a name for himself other than 'Governor of Florida'. I think that thread did get seen by the campaign because they pretty much adopted all five attacks on Trump as well as pushing for Ron to tweet more. Way too late and retarded, but they did. Would be quite funny if NBD had to have things explained to them by a guy I lost track of after his third or fourth ban for either loli posting or threatening to gas the kikes.
a lot of the modern cultural war issues
I forget where it was said, but someone here called them 'Sugar Rush Victories'. Feel good and are important in their way, but politically no one gives a shit a month later. NBD is trying to fix this by pretending Ron is single handily responsible for Disney's financial woes and demanding the Bud Light boycott continue until they get a signed letter of apology from the board of directors.

Don't forget his viral thread shitting on VTubers in the Hogwarts game era which pivoted into graphic photos of SRS/GRS. He's a weeb on fire. Not one for the loli stuff myself but God damn can the man post.

Getting together stuff for an effort post on the CO Supreme Court ruling and came across this. I'm reading it in the Francis E. Dec voice and can't stop laughing

I have to hard-disagree on this point in reference to the trans stuff. Parents across the country are anxious and afraid to speak out about boys in girls' sports, teachers grooming kids and concealing it from parents, Planned Parenthood handing out hormone injections to minors w/o parental permission, and so on. Again, being the only (R) in the room when an unplanned backlash against groomers came out of nowhere is how Youngkin won Virginia.

I'm not speaking out my ass here. I talk to other parents in my blue bughive and I hear what they say in private, but not in public due to fear of retaliation. There is a massive untapped well of dissent on this just like the one Trump found on immigration.

I'm not saying that there isn't an issue here with the trans stuff. But a lot of conservatives who talk about it are just using it purely as a platform to get R's elected and nothing more. They oversimplify the issue and don't really address the root causes of it. Hence why you'll have certain pundits ranting all the time about it and then proceed to get angry at people that point out that they associate with people like Blaire White or Dave Rubin.

Another problem is that the anti-LGBT movement is currently a "safe" culture war that conservatives can have, which is why so many of them are running on it. They get to avoid the complicated conversations about race, demographics and immigration by instead focusing on trans issues. They even try to sell this to people to get them to ignore the immigration issue ("Hispanics are natural conservatives! This is how we get them voting against the Democrats!")

Youngkin is also a great example of this by the way. He ran on all these social and cultural issues and now proceeds to brag about how his state is teaching kids about the evils of slavery.

At the end there is an issue to be fought here, but it isn't going to be won if we just have people relying on the normie train of thought that got us into this mess in the first place. You have to address the deeper issues of American identity in order to be able to seriously combat this kind of stuff.
