Sony hate thread

Which was funny, because Sega was doing that just to spite Sony's Playstation by the time Sega implemented gimmicks for the Dreamcast. Even Sony did the same with PS2 for one particular device used for karaoke. Sony and Micro had way too many ideas to implement after the Wii became a rousing success in the video game industry, thus Nintendo rebounding their big success since the 80s/early-90s.
The Eyetoy (PS2 camera accessory) was actually very sucessful outside of the US. There's no shovelware quite like euro-shovelware.

From what I remember Xbox didn’t actually kill off any service from the Xbone to Series X/S. Xbones still work and you can use them with GamePass. They didn’t demand you buy a new Xbox to play newer games until recently and even then fucking nothing is coming out.

They basically are letting Sony flail as it sets itself on fire with bad business decisions.

Huh? Is PS4 PSN going away?

Then why is @hodgepbragging about how the XBO services are still up? Is he just retarded?
I’m more saying that Xbox people really weren’t driven to buy a new console because Xbox didn’t have too many exclusives, it did have GamePass and backwards compatibility for a lot of games.

Sony basically required new consoles for Forspoken and Demon Souls remake.

The day that you didn't need new hardware to play new games exclusive to said hardware, is when the console industry become officially irrelevant, and it's MS' fault.

bragging about how current gen games can be played on a last gen console, AND releasing the S was fucking retarded.

New gen should be new hardware and new games. But mS, in their desperation, played to the pauper-fag crowd and Sony, for some retarded reason, decided to do the same and killed their PS5 franchises.

Sure, Horizon looks great on PS4, but because of the hardware limitations, it doesn't play great on either console.

I’m not bragging for Xbox, just that they did a 180 on their launch fuckup.

They did a 360 on their launch fuck up and walked straight back into another fuck up. Series S is retarded and last gen.

Neither PS5 or Series are worth their money. Hardware can be as good as it wants but without exclusives made for those high-end hardware specs, it's all pointless.

I'm still using an Xbox One X. It gets all the same OS updates and has had some good improvements to the reliability of sleep mode with back compat games in the past year or so.

I buy Xbox games (mostly on deep discount) because I refuse to buy Denuvo PC games and often PC ports are still complete shit. It's very useful to have a console for those situations, and sometimes you get the Xbox and PC versions in one shot via Xbox PC app.

The list of games I can't play on it that I would want to is very small. It's mostly weird stuff like the port of Judgement which was only Series S/X.

Recently got Armored Core 6 for it. That version seemed perfectly fine to me.

At this point I really care more for the back compat side than anything else since it makes a really good 360 machine (no frame tearing) but I'm considering getting a Series X before the revision without discs comes out.

I thought this was confirmed to have been cancelled since they're focusing on making their next Xbox model by 2026.
Remains to be seen. MS is pushing Game Pass; Sony has a discless PS5. It's certainly plausible that MS would release a discless Series console within a year or so.
