almost all lawsuits end out of court. Eric July can be 100% in the right but even then it's almost always smarter, faster, and cheaper to just settle.

In the time it's taken for Eric July to reach a settlement with the International School of Ministry, Vito still hasn't finished his comic. Very sad and shameful, tbh.

And not all settlements involve people making a cash payment. It can include putting a disclaimer like "Rippaverse is not affialiated with ISOM Ministries" in the fine print part of of the credits page. Given their language centers on coming to an agreement to make it clear they are separate entities I am inclined to believe that is what the settlement amounts to.
