Can't say I was ever a big fan of the Annoying Orange. The first video was OK at best for something you waste your time on the Internet, it getting viral was the highest award it might've ever deserved. There are lots of confounding factors relating to modern lifestyles that probably contribute but probably aren't essential. Lack of strong gender role models that are culturally accepted. Overexposure to phytoestrogens and endocrine disruptors e.g. prolonged skin contact with soft plastics (joypads, mice), soy consumption, estrogen in drinking water (from the pill, soy, dairy, and fertilizer). Lack of vitamin D from staying indoors too much during development years (are there even many troons without chronic short sightedness/glasses from the same cause?).
