Apparently one of the earliest depictions of Jesus we have depicts him with a donkey's head, so I guess we can be glad the furries haven't claimed him yet ...

Earliest depictions in color, still made centuries after his lifetime, look more like a mediterranean tan than the leathery brown skin of the recent so-called "reconstructions".

Pretty sure the Bible makes it clear that the Jews are cursed for far more than that. Literally get handed everything they need on a golden platter, numerous times, and fuck it up every time.

I will never understand modern Christians and their obsession with acquiescing to the Jews at every chance they get. The Bible paints a pretty awful picture of them and makes it clear they'll even turn on God Himself if given the chance.

I thought anybody was free to redemption unless you're calvinist in which case everyone who's going to be redeemed has already been elected.

If I recall, that depiction is a mockery of Jesus by some of the boys' classmates.

Also I find it funny that modern "reconstructions" of Jesus make him seem more Arabic whereas Arabs wouldn't be prominent in the Levant for at least 600 years after Christ's death.

The Christian "devotion" to the Jews is a fairly recent development and mostly applies to Evangelicals. Early Christians, especially some Church Fathers, had some strong opinions of the Jews.
