I've also been looking up stuff about hot flashes for reasons, and it made me wonder about something. Pooners that get a full hysterotomy (that they do not fucking need), are they told how long menopause can last. From what I've looked up it can be a year or ten years. If you add that these pooners take T and that makes them stink like a teenage boy, they must really smell with all the hot flash sweats with T added on top of that. That's a possible ten years of dealing with that in your 20s.
Not a pooners, but had a complete hysterectomy a year and a half. I was told I was going to be put immediately into menopause, but not about how long to expect symptoms like hot flashes.
I did read part of a study into the symptom and it said median rate for the symptom to discontinue was 4 years, but some women had them as long as twenty years after menopause.
Not all hot flashes cause sweating, at least not any noticeable amount of it. But if T makes pooners sweat smell more like men, then any sweating is going to make them rank.
It's sad, a hysterectomy is the option of last resort for women my age (mid-40s) because of the risks involved in menopause at such an "early" age, but these twenty year pooners just say the magic words (dysphoria) and get their entire reproductive system yeeted, like it's no big deal.
Meanwhile normal women in their 20s have a hard time getting their tubes tied, sometimes it takes the husband's permission, other times even with multiple children there's just no way to get it done. In this instance I can understand the rationale, even if I disagree with it: people change their minds all the time, by saying no the doctor limits his liability for lawsuits.
But I can't understand why pooners, who often have multiple mental illness diagnosis, who tend to be very young get a pass. I'm all for sterilizing the profoundly mentally ill (why do you think I had my own tubes tied?) but I think it should be criminal to deny some women their right to do really retarded things in their 20s but not others.
