Have you ever taken apart an AR-15 or AK-47? This is an insanely bad take. The M-16 is no more difficult or costly to maintain than an AK-47.
M-16s short comings in Vietnam where due to logistical retardation. First they supplied ammunition using the incorrect powder which resulted in reliability problems which was then compounded by ignoring the importance of cleaning rifles as the M-16 was billed as a space age self cleaning weapon.
The fact the thing has been used for near 60 years and even countries like France and the UK have swapped to using AR-15 pattern rifles should be a hint its an pretty damn good design.

Designated combat medics are prohibited from carrying weapons, prohibited from using weapons in combat and are not supposed to be directly engaged in combat themselves. She's prohibited from shooting anyone or throwing grenades at anyone

It wouldn't be long before info and videos started leaking out about some mentally ill civilian getting dragged into a recruiting office and/or abused for refusing to enlist, or some guy missing a limb or whatever. When that happens various human rights groups in the US, UK and other western countries will throw a shit fit and start making public accusations of human rights abuses against disabled people and how the US is ignoring them. The US especially can't have that kind of shit happening publicly, let alone at the start of an election year. If Kiev was firing those missiles at civilian targets then I see two big fucking issues
1) MY money is going towards missiles which are used to target civilians
2) The Ukrainians are wasting missiles on civilian targets instead of the army that's currently pushing their shit it.

I haven't seen anyone suggesting there were any military targets in the area. It seems clear the attack was intended to punish civilians. It's backfiring and now the NAFO tards are on a full-court press to add silly Community Notes to every twitter thread condemning it with all sorts of excuses.
