Adult Games General - Because we all know why you play them one-handed.

Super cope opinion: I enjoy adult games because they tend to fuck with gameplay in ways that aren't touched much. Either by tweaking formulas or changing the gameplay.

So on that note I'll drop some game recommendations I've had fun with recently, feel free to judge me.

First: Sakura Dungeon, a dungeon crawling game where you, Ceri, the protagonist, gets enslaved by a powerful fox monster (that you released) in order to reclaim said fox monster's dungeon. Currently 10 bucks. It requires an off-site patch that's easy to find/install. Steam Link

Second: Haydee 2, a third person shooter akin to old school Resident Evil (although you can move and shoot.) Features no mini-map/map and gives basically no directions. Not much of a survival horror but can have a creepy atmosphere. Also I would suggest the first Haydee (which I haven't beat.) Currently 10 bucks for the second and 3 dollars for the first. Steam Link
Here's the soundtrack to Haydee 2 if you want to try it out:

Third: FlipWitch: Forbidden Sex Hex, you play as a witch whose mentor gives her the ability to swap genders. More of a gameplay addition than anything. Pretty good metroidvania with some fun bosses. Currently 13.49 on sale. Steam Link

Last (for NSFW games I've played recently): Gun Gun Pixies, a third person shooter where you and your partner investigate Earth to figure out how interpersonal relationships work due to the crippling autism of your home planet. More ecchi than anything but your guns shoot "happy bullets." Has multiple endings and upgradable guns. Features a Hyperdimension Neptunia cameo. Currently 12.49. Steam Link

I'm gonna give two examples. One is My Waifu Guild I saw mentioned previously that I played. You start with a small group of waifus that can eventually grow up to 9 as you rescue people from levels. Plays like a mobile game in that you pick abilities to enchance but it's a decent enough timewaster.
Imagine if the roster expanded to 50 with 9 slots your party could take on a level. Some waifus would have rubbish abilites and others would have OP ones, then there's combination powers and maybe items they can equip. As a game it's very shallow with it's mechanics but the potential to turn it into a full fledged game is there if someone worked on it.
The second was sexy mystic survivors. It's a straight vampire survivors clone but I remember being able to walk around, having a map, shrines and chests you can pick up for enhancements. It tried to improve the formula somewhat which I appreciated.

The thing about Winged Cloud is they have an average turn around of 6 - 12 months for just one of their VNs, it means they can pump that stuff out and they just flood their storefront. This one though, took 18 months and has some gameplay in the dungeon exploring aspect, even to the point of fake walls and skills you can teach the monster-girls you capture. It's good.

Haven't played these but the first Haydee game is kinda infamous .

Maybe the second one improved a whole lot over the first, but I tried Haydee on a lark a few months ago and thought it sucked ass. Extremely slow (often insta-death) platforming, anemic gun, enemies that two-shot you, just not a fan. It felt like MyFirstGame.UnityProj, but with a character model designed for sex appeal. As far as I could tell it had no hardcore adult content, just jiggle physics on the player character.

On the flip side (harhar), FlipWitch is pretty fun and has some good production value in terms of sprite work and music. It's another 2D action-platformer, but hey, if the genre works.

Good recommendations on the first two, I will check them out. My Waifu Guild looks fun.

That being said Sakura Dungeon is probably their only game with gameplay and I put about 20 hours beating the game on normal while basically getting 100% completion. My only achievements left would be to beat the game on hard/abyssal difficulty and killing 5000 enemies. It seems like there's a few gameplay nuances that I haven't grasped because if the later enemies are allowed to get into flow state they're basically invincible for the 3-6 turns it takes for them to wear back out. I kinda can't imagine the harder difficulties without grinding my ass off. I heard the reason they haven't made more actual games is that a lot of Sakura Dungeon may have been ripped off another dungeon crawler game. That being said it was still fun.

The second one did exactly that. I enjoyed the first one as I had to actually open the settings menu to figure out the controls to get past one of the first obstacles and I also had to figure out how to reload/restart the save file. Novel concepts for a game in this age. However, I still haven't beat it.

That being said the second one has very little (if any) platforming that I remember, it's more about managing your resources and figuring out the correct way to go. The enemies still take 3-5 headshots to kill (with the pistol) but there's a variety of guns and items to find to tackle each situation a bit differently. One of the first items you get is a mine which will definitely kill anything that comes across it.

There's also basically the same amount of adult content, there's a censor setting that's true by default, false allows you to see the adult parts.

It's definitely less of a porn game and more of a sex-bot gained sentience in order to escape the lab game; the most adult part is being able to crouch and then fall on your butt and raise your legs up to assume the position. That and the posters/vending machines.

Lastly, there is modding for it so some people have created maps, although most of the workshop is filled with outfits. So it's a decent amount of game/content for 10 bucks.

Steam's discovery queue occasionally shows me one of these VN style adults games. They all look terribly unappealing and it seems like they were all made by the same team, or the very least, use the same crappy engine (Renpy, I suppose). Out of curiosity, I checked out the NSFW tag and it's heaps and heaps of this shovel-ware garbage. I've set out on the impossible mission to find at least one decent game of this type, with no luck. I understand why devs put zero effort into them, it is easier to churn out dozens of these games, costing only a few bucks each and turn a quick profit, rather than putting in a ton of work into a sole title. Coomers don't care either way.
Still, I'm surprised there isn't even a single non-anime dating game, with decent graphics, realistic, yet attractive 3D models, believable story, characters and dialogue.

I've been wondering about fanservice games, especially from the PS1 and PS2 era. I don't know if this is the right place to talk about them.

The games aren't porn, but they also not exactly safe-for-work. Games like Rumble Roses, Dead or Alive Vollyball, and Tomb Raider. They were fairly common back in the day and are still a thing today (albeit much more rare) with games like Bullet Girls, Omega Labyrinth Z, and Senran Kagura. I mentioned a few last page.

I was wondering if you guys had any thoughts about them, if you have any recommendations, etc. Even games that are sfw but have a hot lead character or a single hot scene I'd like to hear about.

Rumble Roses
If you've played any WWE game from the PS1/PS2 era, it's pretty much that with hot women. Personally I enjoyed Smackdown 2 and 3, so it's right up my alley. Their "story" mode is them going through their face career but then turn into a heel by the end of it, and vice-verse for the heel characters (basically thats how you unlock the other "characters"). Also the mud is more like chocolate milk with how liquidy it is... doesn't effect gameplay, i just find it funny
Senran Kagura
I played Burst on the 3DS and had a fuck-ton of fun with it. Side-scrolling beat-em ups are my thing since I also play games like Streets of Rage. Once you max level the characters you can pretty much one shot anything that stands in your way. Characters also gain new combo strings the more they level up and have 2 forms; regular and a berserk mode where your defenses are complete shit. Poor 3DS has issues with lag if too many things are on screen at once though.

What really sells it is the story and characterization of the crew. I wind up liking the Hebijo clan more than the hero team because they aren't exactly "evil" as they are misfits that had bad shit happen to them and they don't fit anywhere else because the good side basically turned on them. Also Rin/Suzune is a fucking hottie that you wind up unlocking along with Daidoji (a super senior in the good guy team) and both of them are basically god mode but also wind up having their own story too.

It's a shame the series hasn't went anywhere else outside of gacha mobile shit and stupid things like "Asuka massage simulator" on the switch and that """pinball""" game

There's one called "Leap of Faith" that I thought was decent. It tries to tell an actual story but also has plenty of porn in it.

That would probably be Miel. I'm not kidding when I say they've released a VN every month since 2010 and have been porting them to Steam with an English translation every month since like 2018. They're not the only company doing it either.

Might as well, I mean hell there's a reason DoA sold well and it was half the mechanics but half the women featured too. You can thank Itagaki for that, very much designed that way.
"I'm creating entertainment. So it's quite natural for me to create beautiful women, instead of ugly ones." If only the industry had more Itagakis, we wouldn't be going through the Budget Cuts that affect female characters these days.

Smackdown Vs Raw 2006 has a "female fantasy" mode where the female wrestlers hit each others with pillows. This was tossed out of 2007 unfortunately. I do wanna give Rumble Roses a look at sometime, I've seen the art book for it and it looks interesting.
For DoA Volleyball, I know there's a modding scene on LoversLab for the PC version of 3. Trying to get that working was too technical for me.
Bullet Girls reminds me of Schoolgirl Zombie Hunter. It plays a bit like EDF in it's loadout but it's just okay. Haven't tried Omega Labyrinth but heard that got out uncensored which is always good. And for Senran I tried but couldn't get into it. I did play that Valkyrie Drive game though, that was a blast. I ought to play that again at sometime.

There was that Chinese series on GoG, Bright Memory. Haven't tried that but DLC for it is a bunch of outfits.

Wanted to post this. Gunsmoke actually appeared in the Fagzone thread for Something Unlimited. He of course begged people to join his Discord, even going to post in the fan art thread. He then made a post yesterday where he edited supposed DMs from some users hoping to fit in.
I think all the negativity might be getting to the PR person.

He actually edited posts made by people and reposted them. I've never seen a Dev do that before.

Should be noted that one guy, XMendoza has been working on a functioning Renpy port of the game. The Renpy version mentioned by Gunsmoke is an Android copy that won't work on windows. Yes, instead of actually working on a function Renpy copy and eventually transferring all the assets over from Unity, he instead went straight to Android because Gunsmoke is an incompetent dev. I mean, not just his spaghetti code, losing 4 different programmers working on a failed rebuild in unity, the beta version of the text support box he can't update because it would break everything. And now he develops straight to Android because people play this on their phones for some reason.
This game is such a trashfire.

Future Fragments is set to miss its annual deadline for the seventh? Eighth? year in a row. Over "deep lore" textboxes that nobody will read.

It's been confirmed several times that HW literally floods the janny queue with reports to try and get criticism deleted, and has done so multiple times on multiple forums. This is in addition to vomiting out long screeds to random posters in PMs because he knows he will get dogpiled if he returns to the thread.
But surely this time it's ready for Steam review, unlike all the other times when they literally an submitted incomplete game that Steam predictably rejected.

I can't recommend Rumble Roses XX. It's a really bad game, and back in the day it's disc-locked content made SFxT and DoA look reasonable because it was all the girl's costumes with some color variations sold for $1-3 USD (I'll admit guilt by admitting to buying some of them like Dixie's outfits because I didn't know any better until SFxT woke me up). XX lacks replay value not only because there isn't much to do out of wrestling with a bullshit AI, but a lot of the unlocks were also impossible to get. Here's a little story about how bad XX was: IGN tried to call Konami or the developers themselves, and even those assholes had a hard time explaining how to unlock stuff. Even at $10 I felt ripped off by Konami.

So here's a statement back in 2021 saying there would be no more delays.

Except he delays through 2022, game gets marked abandoned, he pushes out a new demo this month and the mods cover for him. Mods, on a piracy forum.

A reminder that Fagzone has a discord where devs hang out and have a direct line to staff. They also get kickbacks from linking patreon content and protecting devs when something like this happens.
Apparently Future Fragments has been submitted to Steam, seems it's entering a 1.0 type release.

Atari having no lockout chip meant some pretty kinky games got made.
Here's a few from outside the mystique pool everyone talks about:

...what game is this?
Not that I care or want to play it, but I shared this image and am getting a LOT of WTFs in response.
Trails in Tainted Space, as the other poster said. An absolute shitshow of a game which has been growing worse and worse since the very first planet it had.

This is the character in question btw. Does it not fill you with arousal to fuck her 'wife' in the ass so 'she' can get hard to impregnate 'her' wife?
