This is something that I go back and forth about sometimes, in my mental model of what kind of person the Dwarf is, when you see him talk about his son you can quite easily tell he cares about him a lot, and when he talks about his money and protecting it (from women he dates/could date, or not wasting money on dumb shit) he often mentions how that money will eventually be Nathan's. He has done a lot so Nathan has a privileged life, something you don't really see with deadbeat dads often, even the wealthy ones, unless they are forced to pay money for the kid.
I think, fundamentally, Destiny thinks differently about his relationships with other humans, you see it with how he interacts with his fans (which is quite different from other streamers), how his relationship is with "friends", how he is with his GFs/(ex)wives, and how he is with his son, and I do not think anything will change that no matter how much people try to shame him for being a "cuck" or a "deadbeat dad".

The closest I've ever seen to him changing how he interacts with people was during his Lauren Southern arc, he started reading the C.S.
