So this makes me wonder.
If:
* Elora had SPOKEN with her parents or sister telling them that she was running off on an adventure, do you think the RCMP would suspect foul play?
* The woman on the CCTV video near that homeless street really was Elora, do you think the RCMP would suspect foul play?
* The RCMP saw video of JF dropping Elora off at the coffee shop/truck stop, would the RCMP suspect foul play?
* Believed JF, would the RCMP suspect foul play?

Until there is incontrovertible evidence to the contrary, they have to believe J.F.. If he did mash the potato and leaves a confession behind after he surrenders his life like the perfidious Frenchman that has polluted humanity since WWII he would have still gone out like a boss.

I wish that video was as clear cut as you say, However if you view the interruption the preceded that interruption, she clearly and specifically tells No White Guilt that she will never forgive him for what he did to her. And to not believe him because he is a shape shifting ghost.

With all of that context, you now expect all of us to assume that she switches the person she is talking about to JF? She never specifies that she is talking about anyone else.

And you want us to assume that she is asking No White Guilt, the person that she will never forgive for what he did to her, for help?

Not to mention, Mama JF has had plenty of opportunities to upload her own videos later. And she never complained about JF trying to kill her. She had a cell phone. She never called the police? She never called her parents or sister to complain that JF was trying to kill her? If she had, I would have expected JF to be sitting in jail right now while the RCMP figure this out. The RMPC would have clear probable cause to enter his house and search it.
How do we know she had opportunity to upload her own videos? Maybe I've missed this, but did MamaJF have any sort of internet presence during her relationship with JF? Do we know for a fact she had unfettered access to a computer or a phone?

We know, per the neighbors, that MamaJF's parents didn't like JF and probably would have loved for her to leave him for good. But abusive relationships are more complicated and insidious than that. We've seen from other videos how devoted she was to him, how desperately she wanted his approval. She loved him. He probably had her convinced that she was just a dumb potato who couldn't do anything right. The term has been overused with such vigor by SJWs that just saying it will cause some eyes to roll, but JF is very much gAsLiGhTiNg in this video. Elora is mistaken, he says. She's confused, she's wrong, she's crazy.

The body language is also telling. JF is shaking nervously at the beginning. Elora seems to be making a concerted effort not to touch JF. As she leans in to the camera, she puts her arm around the back of the chair rather than JF's shoulder or back. Even when JF pushes her away, she doesn't touch him. Instead of trying to comfort her, he angrily lashes out at her, seems to be telling her to stop talking or else when the audio is off. He doesn't comfort his distraught wife or say "calm down, that's not the guy who hurt you." He just wants her to go away.

Elora's of diminished capacity, that's obvious. Maybe in her low IQ mind she thinks that accusing No White Guilt of the things JF has done will keep JF from retaliating against her after the stream ends. Maybe she thinks all of JF's little manosphere friends are complicit in a conspiracy to hurt her and her statement is intended for the audience rather than No White Guilt specifically. Either way, JF's convoluted and overlong story to me reeks of ass-covering rather than a rational explanation for her behavior.

Regarding why he hasn't been arrested yet, it's probably because RCMP is watching him and knows he isn't a flight risk (no money, nowhere to go) and is letting him continue to tie his own noose via his statements on his streams. He seems confident that he's not a suspect so they're probably waiting for him to get (even more) sloppy. Elora isn't with her family, has no money or means or transport, hasn't been spotted, and it's winter; it's virtually a guarantee that she's dead.

He didn't kill her the first time she left him. All he did was make it explicitly clear that she was going to be replaced and he would be done with her. And he gave her a.... deadline.

So what about her leaving him this time would have warranted death?
He would not be the first spousal murderer who didn't do it intentionally. Maybe he was just knocking her around like he had done before, she hit her head, lights out.

Ah, what do you know.

I know that Prince Edward Island is a different province, but I feel confident that the different provinces more or less operate the same when it comes to divisions.

So at minimum, the RMPC suspect foul play and don't consider this just a run of the mill missing person case.

And double checking the missing person announcement from the RMPC confirms that the Major Crimes Unit is indeed investigating this.
These were probably the hard asses camping out in a car in front of JF's house and waking him up each morning knocking on the door.
I wish I had the photoshop skills to make a parody of a hardy boys book cover. I'd call it Kiwi Farms in The Mystery of the Mashed Potato.

We have confetti.
Or I have confetti.
Is this some crossover with the news that Rekeita got catfished and it's just applying to the whole of the farms?

Part of the issue the RCMP will be having is that the gap between the drop off and their being alerted to her disappearence - all that CCTV evidence will be gone. Even the best systems tend to only keep their recordings for 3 months before deleting themselves - unless you direct the system to saving something specific. Most establishments might have a system that keeps it for 14 days, regardless the video of Elora would be gone well before the RCMP started looking for her - and this isn't going to be the sort of information that you can run a recovery programme as it will have been overwritten multiple times, plus the sheer amount of it would make it unfeasible.

As for the rest of it, the answer is simple: it depends. It depends what she told her family, what she told JF. If she told her family she would be back come October and didn't show, or get in touch with them, that's suspect.

Additionally, missing people investigations have to tread a careful line - information must be released to the public so as to aid in finding whoever is missing, however if foul play is suspected the police will not show all their cards as it may help the perp in developing an alibi, or evading capture. The RCMP likely know things that aren't in the public domain.

Or maybe they've fumbled it, RCMP don't have good rep for solving cases of missing women after all.

Don't need photoshop skills when we have AI.

Or release false details to weed out false confessions.

Yeah, I don't think he chopped her up... but he drove a literal retard out to the woods and just dropped her off there. Barely better than leaving a baby in the woods and going "I did not kill zee baybee! Zee wild wolves did!" He understands his behavior, but he's a sociopath.

Gariepy is a former neuroscience researcher, who we know from his content in the past, is familiar with strict and rigorous hazmat protocols and lab practices.

If he killed her,
chopping her up is precisely what I think he did, and I don't think he would leave any evidence, lolcow or not, as he has the necessary skillset to not leave evidence.

Earlier in this thread there were many posts discussing how critical time is in murder investigations. So JF being able to deter her family and others from calling the cops for almost five months was absolutely brilliant and critical. All the memories that were forgotten, videos destroyed, evidence burned and buried, really made any feeble effort the RCMP might be putting forth far more pointless.

But there's interesting psychology on people who get away with murder a first time. They develop a god complex and begin to imagine themselves floating above the rest of mankind, who they increasingly see as weak, petty, and beneath them. This leads to increasing fantasies of repeating their glorious triumph. This leads to them committing further murders down the road. This is the basis of the "black widow" phenomenon, of wives murdering a series of husbands, usually with increasing sloppiness.

So, within months of the birth of his next child, JF will begin fantasizing about murdering the mother. His fantasies will fester and grow. Soon, he will begin to only see her in light of his fantasies of killing her, and every moment she lives he will hate her for representing defiance of his dream. His hatred for her will fester and his murderous plotting will reach a fever pitch. Before long, he will orchestrate an encore of his greatest achievement in life: getting away with murder.

I don’t know if I want to commit to every bit of that, but JF definitely seems like a man with a pattern going. The courts felt his previous baby mama was unsafe around him. This one vanishes weirdly. Now we’ve got a fresh volunteer.
If he wants to prove everybody wrong all he has to do is nothing. Live happily ever after with “a marriage is a contract for a baby” lady. We’ll see how it goes. I’m not rooting for this broad to die.

TL:DR I think this thread is going to get colder before it gets any hotter

You know what, JFG being a neuroscientist reminds me of the case where some girl in Nanjing was chopped up so meticulously and the killer is still at large today.

Obviously, this happened before China became a full blown surveillance dystopia. Essentially, the killer whoever he was filleted her like a sashimi chef handling the most recent tritiated catch, and left her remains in many locations packed differently. There were bags of flesh, bones and so on left at different locations around Nanjing.

The victim was only discovered after a scavenger opened the bag housing her fully filleted torso wrapped in layers upon layers of bags, dumped in a community bin to obfuscate the rancid smell. I believe they only found parts of her corpse.

DO NOT try to look up NSFL photos of this case. You'll get a collection of absolutely horrifying photos from another dismemberment case in China (rest assured that the killer was executed by the state rightfully), typically passed on as this case because true crime YouTube grifters don't care about being "true".

That said, being able to dissect a frog or a rat with surgical precision doesn't translate necessarily to humans, I'd assume a surgeon or even a butcher would be a better candidate. JFG knows his ways around a stereotaxic device, but there's other more annoying parts of the human body that's hard to "process".

I personally think he abandoned her, she wandered off, succumbed to the wilderness and got yeeted by scavengers, which still means he's guilty.

I would guess that we won't hear anything official for a good long time unless break-through evidence appears miraculously. When considering a murder investigation, either prosecutors have enough evidence in hand from the onset to convict or it has to be meticulously put it all together after the fact. Bringing a case too early will give more room for an acquittal, and for a charge as serious as murder, you'd want the evidence to be as bulletproof as possible. From the public's perspective, a case that requires a lot of stitching together over time to be solid versus a case that got shuttered due to lack of evidence are essentially the same. If the RCMP had a smoking gun by now, I would expect them to have indicted.

Reading the tea leaves here, either I am guessing it'll probably be a long while before JFG sees a cell or maybe never. Elora almost certainly is dead, and everyone knows who's responsible if that's the case, but the issue is if that can be proven.
