Yesterday Rolling Stone put out their list for the top 150 sci-fi films of all time. Guess what not only made the cut but was ranked higher than fucking Predator?



The spin on that review is giving me motion sickness and secondhand soy poisoning. They also ranked Fury Road much, much higher than The Road Warrior, because of course they fucking did.

Serious question realistically does Star Wars get worse under ownership of China? If China buys Star Wars or Disney. China now owns Conan the barbarian. It pretty stopped any new attempts to make Conan woke so far. If anything, Conan is at least written for men again, which he is probably going to use for pro-CCP propaganda one day. Not denying that. But Conan at least not being used to promote trannies.

China isn't that big on Star Wars after Disney. They're more likely to buy Transformers since that was actually something they liked, to the point where despite the fact that the Bayformers films didn't do so well critically in the West, they made killer box office records in China. Maybe if SW hadn't taken the hard turn to feminism the CCP could've kept it masculine and used it as propaganda, but as of right now, their own people don't really like Star Wars, and Star Wars isn't such a hot property at this point, so no one really cares.

Not to mention that the OT SW trilogy might give more than a few Chinese citizens the ''wrong'' idea in the eyes of the CCP, what with it being about heroic citizens rebelling against a government that's confiscating their property and eradicating minorities.

Would be neat if it turned into pro-Empire propaganda. Not because they're the coolest faction, but because all of Filoni Wars points to them being the best of the worst government in Star Wars. Also, the CIS is the most moral government in all of Star Wars by bothering to use droid armies instead of people. The Republic never asked itself, "Hey, maybe we should also build our own droid armies" for garrison duty and other simple every day tasks that the military needs to function. They just said, "Clones and Jedi are good enough. As long as it's not my citizens fighting and dying to protect the Republic."

Didn't that story already get told back in the old canon? Dooku was disillusioned with the Jedi Council and the Republic for years, then he gets assmad that his apprentice Qui-Gon is dead thanks to a Sith, and that the Council isn't trying to hunt down the second Sith. He says ''FUCK THIS'' and goes off to hunt down the second Sith on his own, then said second Sith instead seeks him out, talks with him about a plan to remake the galaxy into a more orderly society, and Dooku goes from ''IMMA KILL THIS GUY'' to ''maybe he has a good point.'

I'm pretty sure it was told in the Darth Plaugies novel and went down pretty close to what you described. Also on a side note Dooku is the most underrated villian in the saga if you ask me.

Dooku was the kind of villain that could've carried a whole show. Especially since he wasn't fully evil, like Palpatine, so he could've been sympathetic, or even tragic.
