she was constantly a good 5-10lbs heavier than she was supposed to be by their standards and was constantly ordered for "fat camp" after weigh ins (I believe it was just a specific diet and exercise I don't know the details). I'm not sure if they still do this because it was the 80s.
Don't those things still use up calories and suck bodyfat from the rest of you, though?
Called it.So Lizzo is undoubtedly on one of those weight loss drugs and she has indeed dropped quite a bit of weight. Fans are upset about losing yet another Proud Fat Queen.
I wonder if Lizzo will go all the way to being a normal weight like Adele. Lizzo unlike other deathfats is pretty active, she does dance/move a lot during her shows, so if the drugs nuke her drive to eat she might drop a lot of weight quite quickly. There will be much seething.

From what I've heard it depends on the thing. Sometimes it is just a "dead" thing that sits inside your body, sometimes tumors can such can excrete hormones that lower your BMR enough that it would be extremely difficult to lose weight, but still not impossible.
Lipedema, for example, is something you can actually see/pinch if you lose the fat around it, but it's non-metabolic fat, so it's just sitting there under your skin like marbles. A liquid-filled cyst, in comparison, may have an active defensive "wall" around it that would be similar to a permanent infection.
I've always said there is a tiny percent of the population that are unable to lose weight, where diets don't work and their bodies seem to actively sabotage any type of weight loss by going into some kind of crisis. But you're looking at maybe 1 - 2 %. This doesn't cover the legion of fatasses like Evie that crow about HAES and that it's okay she eats an entire box of Little Debbie cakes in one sitting because she only does this once a week. You know... moderation.Yes a family member of mine had this issue, but didn't realize it until she was in the navy. While physically, she looked like one of the fittest women in the room and was a skinny minny (had always been), she was constantly a good 5-10lbs heavier than she was supposed to be by their standards and was constantly ordered for "fat camp" after weigh ins (I believe it was just a specific diet and exercise I don't know the details). I'm not sure if they still do this because it was the 80s. She ended up ballooning in her 40s, despite doing hard labor for work for a good 10 hours a day minimum and she ate pretty healthy in moderate portions. Of course because she had VA health insurance they never bothered to look into why.
She's the only person I can legitimately think of that had an actual, though undiagnosed, medical reason for weight gain. There was no other explanation for it. She never got even close to deathfat size though.
This right here is everything wrong with this whole situation.Cross-posting from the various other threads where this is relevant. Kelly Lenza has added her two cents to ButtWipeGate:

I can't believe I'm to the point where I can think of three different places where this personal update about wiping your butt is relevant, but here we are. Happy 2024.
Yes even with issues like that, you still have to actively try to get to the size of Evie. Most people, even generic fatties you see wandering around, would be mortified if they reached 'can barely stand or wipe ass' stage. For people like your family member I genuinely feel sorry for. For those like Evie who's problems are more or less self-inflicted I'm totally out of fucks to give.
What a great response.Rosey has responded to ButtWipeGate.View attachment 5609956View attachment 5609958View attachment 5609959View attachment 5609961View attachment 5609963
This is a tragic comedy. Does it end for the fatties "living their best quality of life" in a Wall-E world like pod? Completely immobile and incapable of life outside it? All these devices have done for her is cement her status as immobile and incapable of basic human functions. It's optimistic, but maybe if we didn't have the incredible enabling devices of modern convenience some of these heifers would get motivated to lose some weight.Cross-posting from the various other threads where this is relevant.
