• Randy Smith’s obituary listed Daniel Paul Harris and his brother Joseph Grant Harris (of Williamsburg, VA) as two of Randy’s children. With the different surnames, I would have guessed Randy’s wife Terri was their mom and he was their stepdad.
• But the obituary comment left by “Dan Harris” speaks of “meeting” Randy and helping him get hired at General Motors. That comment almost exclusively focuses on all the things “Dan Harris” had supposedly done to help Randy, right down to giving him rides. This is probably a different Dan Harris, and not Daniel Paul Harris who’s now in Arlington, right?

You're leaving a message so that immediate family can read it, it's not a place where immediate family post to remember their nearest and dearest.

In "Mandy's" backstory, "her" mother died 20 years ago, I think what happened is that Buffalo Dan merged elements of his stepdad and dad into one "father" character for Mandy.

What I relied on was not the crash report itself, but an online public query tool from the state Department of Transportation. I believe what it does is provide a subset of the information fields from the actual crash report as well as information that would be useful for planners (such as average vehicular traffic for the road where an accident took place)

It has fields for the crash information at the top, then additional tables for each unit and each person associated with each unit after that.
