Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

View attachment 5608278

I must've imagined these last 10 years of nothing but bland female protagonists and "The Force is female"

The next Star Wars director everyone.

Yeah it's kind of... odd. I don't know what reality they're living in or if it's just gaslighting but I'm pretty sure Rey was the main character of the sequels. And we've had Ahsoka since. And Jyn Erso in Rebel One. And a very high focus on female characters and creators in general. It's just such a dumb thing for this director to say, it comes off as completely oblivious at best.

And whatever, I loved when Jaina Solo, Mara Jade, Bastila, Kreia, Leia, Padme, Visas, Tenel Ka, etc. were focused on in the old days. The issue here is that there's almost no hope that this will be good.

Honestly, I can’t wait to see what they do with a post-sequels movie. Just how badly are they going to butcher that dead horse of a franchise?

Will the Empire return? Are they bringing in some High Republic shit that no one cares about? Will they reveal a retarded version of the Yuuzhan Vong or Abeloth?

How little character development will Rey have in the film all while becoming the leader of the next generation of Jedi?

Is there going to be any explanation of the state of the galaxy after the First Order was defeated? Is there a New New Republic or are we still back to having another Rebel Alliance?

We can theorize all we want about the film but Disney will somehow produce a worse version than we could ever envision.

This movie will never be made. This is just performative bullshit. Someone has probably crunched the numbers and realized that this movie would flop so hard it would make Solo look like a success, so they're passing it off on her for Twitter/Reddit creds, and then they're gonna can it quietly.

Merchandise is king and no one wants to buy Rey dolls.

Depends on if Dave gets done turning the Nightsisters into said shitty Yuuzhan Vong replacement by then or not. Blehhhhhhhhhhh.
Different note, I am cautiously optimistic about the Mace Windu novel coming soon, it's written by Steven Barnes who wrote The Cestus Deception for the Clone Wars MMP.
Cestus Deception wasn't my favorite novel, but it wasn't poorly written.

I agree her film won't get made. I do think we will get more Rey in the future and honestly I am not against it. I liked Rey, I just think the character went to shit because of writing.

The problem we have is, they won't have any good ideas. The fact that they're touting the film will be good because it has a female director tells us they will make the same endless traps this identity politics pushing film maker agendas create.

Even though Rey is the bestest ever, they'll still have to try and establish that again by having incompetent baffoon males.

It means they can't do any romance as a woman liking a man isn't empowering. They wouldn't create a man that would be worthy of affection from an amazing woman. So the options are, they make her gay. Maybe South Park saved us. Or from my running of the woke algorithm. The force has impregnated her to have the chosen one, which will also be a daughter. As they will have to have a legacy. Although her legacy could be her students.

I have never rewatched the film, but was the First Order even defeated in TROS? Didn't they just defeat the Sith Eternals and their fleet of vintage star destroyers with miniaturised death star weapons?

Didn't Hux and even Kylo not even know about the Sith Eternals? Why isn't TFO and their massive force reigning supreme across the galaxy still going? Also wouldn't a better plot have been Kylo getting TFO to become on the good sides against the greater evil?

Her top student will be a black girl with usual hair. Search your feelings, you know it to be true.

But were they?

They'll rip off an idea from other film but make it Star Wars. The question is, what film? They'll probably go back to the Indiana Jones well. First Order people looking for ancient sith artifacts.

Matt Walsh has already attacked the director, twitter libtards now will almost definitely insist the film be made, simply to own the chuds.

On another note-apparently there was a trans clone, because...uh so trans readers of a canon EU book would feel included.

There's no pretense of SOD or immersion, its Tumblr activism all the way.

Why don't the trans just relate to whatever gendered character they feel they are? It's one of those odd little things with the way it's represented in fiction. Of course, the answer is it's all inconsistent.

From what I could tell-the author(some tumblr libtard White woman) suggested it and was done-there is no reason given in the story itself. Not even a "Kaminoan cloning error, messing up chromosomes". Its just purely for audience consumption.

Looking at this Pakistani director-most of her films are basically feminist activist pieces, in Pakistan. Appear to be arthouse sort of films-that is they are just a political circle jerk.

Lol Disney bout to make another billion dollar movie that will bring in $500 million leaving them with a $750 million loss after theaters take their cut

At least we'll get to see pics of massive Nuwars toy displays sitting untouched for months again

One of the things you have to remember about "woke" films, is they don't particularly care if they lose money. The people nestled in these corporations that do this sort of thing rarely if ever face censure for failure, and as far as they're concerned-the message is what matters. If it fails, then well racism or whatever but they won't be personally impacted.

There's also twitter to consider-all of these liberals are plugged into online libtard discourse. What is popular with the pronouns and gay flag in bio crowd online-is where they take their lead. What pleases this bunch also is where they get their validation.

If some libtard Substack writer says "the last jedi was excellent for x reasons deconstruction whatever racism something something"-they accept that praise as reason to go on.

50/50 chance on them ripping off the Vong with their Disnified version that I can't be fucked to remember the name of, or it's going to be more boring Nightwitch shit because they can't be arsed to remember that they use the force not magic. There's a chance it's going to be vaporware, but I actually think Disney is pathetic, delusional, malicious, and retarded enough to think that since time has passed, that people will give it a chance because the prequels turned out good in the end right?

Given the leanings of the director and the fact its bringing back Rey, I expect it will be "the empire has returned" or some else as the basic plot.

With Rey lecturing whoever the male characters are and it being a feminist TED talk with girl power or something.

The antagonists will probably be either some sort of Trump/fascist stand in, or generic aliens, IDK maybe.
