Oh, wow, they have to travel four hours to get their kids castrated and maimed?

Yeah, well.....talk to parents of kids with real problems, like something's wrong with their neurological, digestive or cardiopulmonary systems. If you don't live in a major metropolitan area, you often have to drive your kid long distances to get care. Even if you do live in a major metro, the doctor or surgeon who specializes in their kid's issue can be several states away. A parent can be forced to choose between their kid's care and their jobs or mortgages.

Their "go fund mes" to help with expenses for genuine life saving care don't get nearly as much attention as the munchie parents/trooners do.

Is it really that horrible to have a gay son or a lesbian daughter in 2023??

You don't get woke points for having a gay kid in Current Year, so for these Transhausen-by-proxy types, it sure must seem like it.
To build on this, the whole field of mental health has become compromised: The same things that would get a patient flagged as potentially/likely gay or bisexual fifteen years ago (i.e. effeminate mannerisms in men or masculine mannerisms in women) are now treated as hard proof of trans identity. Even if the parents don't mind their kid being LGB, they are going to give a large amount of credence to the therapist/doctor saying their child needs to troon out to live and the kid is likely to be too young to understand that what the doctor is doing is wrong.

Edit to add: Then we have the groomers. LGB kids might feel isolated or ostracized because they don't fit in with their peers, which makes them ideal victims for Keffals and his ilk.

Edit x2: Based on personal experience, many people don't realize that being trans is much, much more dangerous than being LGB - HRT is hard on the body and even "good" SRS results are horrific with a lifetime of difficult maintenance. I suspect that if more parents knew that, they'd push back hard on any "dysphoria" diagnosis even if they aren't wild about having a gay son or lesbian daughter.

Being gay is gross, banging and sucking dudes? Yuck. Being a woman and having sex with a woman? That's hot. Free yourself from the patriarchal capitalist mores that drive your toxic masculinity and you'd see this.

I'm sure someone else has already noticed this, but these tweets are kind of funny when you put them next to each other.

Sorry if this is bringing up old news..

Just quit. Promising to quit at some future undetermined point means you won't. Making a New Years Resolution means you won't. You know why you won't quit? Because you don't really hate it. You're lying to everyone and they all know you're lying. Why not just be honest?

Oh, sorry, forgot the type of person I was addressing there for a second.

They have a terrible addiction to it and by extension people like Alex have an addiction to being outraged and looking up things that will "upset" them.

All self inflicted.

This is an interesting tweet. Kendi seems to be suggesting that Harvard is not part of the structure of racism and not an institution that "reinforces" it if a single Black person is a weak figurehead at the top of it. That reporters who "care about truth or justice" should ignore the truth (Gay did plagiarism and looked stupid in front of Congress) and defend the "justice" of a Black woman heading a reinforced structure of racism at all costs. It's the "Obama ended racism" meme but he (and Alex) are legitimately serious about it.

This isn't new for Kendi since his one (1) anti-racism proposal is to create an authoritarian unelected body of self-selected (by race) elites that all have the resume of Ibram X. Kendi that controls all of society and has unlimited power to do whatever it wants with no checks or balances allowed. (This isn't fascism, it's anti-racist democracy. Don't let fascists gaslight you with language that's hiding dogwhistles.) But it is new for Alex who otherwise acts like he'd overthrow every established institution no matter how beneficial if it offers him a chance at slight social media clout on a platform he claims to be stepping away from. The difference I think is pretty obvious, this is about Harvard, so Alex believes the proper "right side of history" position is to defend the white supremacist capitalist institution full of fascists, TERFs, Zionists and sexual harassers who share a birthplace with Elon Musk by any means necessary. (Much like he does with the government. Or police who violate people's rights when he doesn't like those people.)
