Perry CSD has a nasty habit of trying to accomodate for snow days in any way they can, typically this results in them not cancelling when neighboring schools do. I know usernames don't necessarily mean anything but adding your birth year onto your username is pretty common and if that's what he did (and 1996 isn't just some random number) then he would be 27 years old. edit: I just got pretty credible info saying that the principle was shot 4 times, once in the head, twice to the chest, and once in the arm. So either this kid targeted the principle with that gun or brought a different one.

Honestly, the "single action" part is the most promising if he decided to use this as his weapon: single actions are a pain to reload quickly in the best of times, and "psychotic episode while killing for the first time" is not "the best of times". I can believe the significantly reduced fatality numbers if this info turns out to be true, and the entry wounds pictured certainly look consistent with .22LR entry wounds.

Also "shot self repeatedly" makes a lot more sense now if true.

I want to know how and why this school shooting endemic started. I'm desensitized to it because I hear about it regularly (unless, heaven forbid, you're actually there to experience it.) With how the school system is in America, coupled with "mental health" and predatory curriculum, I don't see much hope for today's youth if this is the standard.

What we should be talking about with this shooter is the fact that schools will not suspend or expel kids even for threatening others and bringing weapons to school. There used to be 0 tolerance for any sort of weapons and you pretty much got guaranteed expulsions in the early 2000s.

That’s because most of the kids threatening others with weapons at school are black wannabe gang members/wiggers at inner-city shitholes. We aren’t allowed to hold them accountable for anything, that would be systemic racism or something.
