Friends of the shooter speak
Starting Line spoke to several students who said they were friends of the shooter, Dylan Butler.
His friends say Butler sent farewell messages about 20 minutes before the first reports of the attack, which the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office said began at 7:37 a.m.
“I was working and I got a text message [from him] telling me that he was thankful for me and that he was glad that he met me and that I was a really good friend,” said one of the teens.
The friends said other students had bullied Butler since elementary school.
Looks like that 12-year-old girl was a homophobe/transphobe who had it coming!“He was hurting. He got tired, he got tired of the bullying, he got tired of the harassment. Was it a smart idea to shoot up the school? No! God, no,” a friend said.
