*The concept of age of consent doesn't exist in Spanish Law, the reason you see infamously low age of consents in Latin America is simply that's the age where by law it's automatically rape, but above that age it's lawful to have sex with a girl provided that you can show a serious relationship with them, otherwise you can be prosecuted for corruption of a minor. This was the same case with Japan's age of consent being 12, it was the same bullshit, if you ever tried to do it you would be prosecuted for a litany of other charges, an example of this was a female school teacher that had sex with a student was charged with kidnapping for taking him to a hotel for sex.
