The biggest damage Reagan did was actually the fact the GOP learned some really wrong lessons from him.

The biggest thing the GOP failed to learn from Reagan is that Reagan was a man of his time, addressing the anxieties of the voters of his time with solutions that made sense for his time. Instead, they got the idea that "cut taxes + increase defense spending" is an automatic win button in politics. The idea that they should be talking about the problems of the 2020s instead of the 1980s is lost on Republicans.

IMO the Texas strategy is to force this as a campaign issue at the least. They are fed up with grifters entering the country and robbing the nation of its wealth. Funny thing is so are niggers. If Trump promises to deport immigrants and protect "The Gibs" the black vote is his to take.
Yeah, I think it was the fact that they were trying to smoke out Biden into admitting that they do not give a fuck about the border.

In 2021, Biden's stance on the border was "yes, yes, we'll get to it later". By taking the bait, the feds are admitting that they WANT the border to stay open.

You get it. Comparing old presidents by modern standards is retarded. Reagan was popular because he was a populist, just like Jackson, T. Roosevelt, and Eisenhower, and Trump. One of those was a Democrat, the rest were Republicans. None of their platforms relate to each other or make sense in relation to some political compass theory: it’s not about ideology, it’s about pragmatism. It’s also about giving a big middle finger to the establishment, which these presidents did. And interestingly, they all got fucked by the establishment in some way, except arguably Eisenhower, but Eisenhower’s counterpart in the Pacific got fucked, so that counts.

Yeah I remember that, then in 2020 the most "mexican" parts of texas shifted 40 points toward Trump and saved the state from stupid white women.

Looking at the votes then as they were divided, most of them came from Harris County, which had "drive-through voting" for 24 hours or something like that. Probably not as bad as drop boxes, but still shady as fuck.

And the next day, some dude accidentally his a girl with his car. Because she was a death fat, she had a heart attack, and died. The courts threw the book at him for murder.
I'd heard that, but there's no public coroner's report. The guy at the trial said that and her aorta was torn, which is something that happens when your heart gets sloshed around in your chest cavity by a sudden impact of serious force. Pretty classic "you got hit square in the chest by a car and bounced" style injury, but I don't believe states' witnesses in these sorts of trials. After all, a coroner said that Jeff Epstein definitely committed suicide and George Floyd was held on the ground TO DEATH.

There's video of her being bounced by a glancing blow from the car. Her mom said that she had a heart attack, and her heart was temporarily restarted with CPR, which would never fucking happen with an aorta tear, but she's a retard so she wouldn't know.

Really the whole thing smells like a trial run for a lot of shit that came afterward. My only assumption, based on the patterns in evidence is that she was actually a pedophile who overdosed on fentanyl while chasing Kyle Rittenhouse.

It was worse than just throwing the book at him.
The judge denied him the most basic rights of the accused.
It was jaw-dropping the violations he was subjected to down to the most basic procedural levels.
Judicial reforms are needed, and the first thing is the establishment of a threshold for gross rights violations that can land the judge in prison for the sentence he intended to dish out to his victim.

The tactic got so common during the fentanyl riots that a couple states passed laws that would have shielded him from conviction.

Nevermind that they’re oblivious to what Reagan actually did. He decreased taxes, but incrementally raised them to half of what they were before his presidency.

Nevermind his views on guns and other social policies. The one thing my mom hated about Reagan was that he eliminated student grants during his tenure, relying on federal loans to get through college and therefore contributing more to the student loan issue.

Calling Reaganomics “trickle-down” is categorically false, but it’s a lot more than just “cutting taxes and spending more on the military”.

The biggest issue with Reagan is the pedestal he is put on. Like any president he did things that were shitty in hindsight but the almost deification of him makes it impossible to parse what was good and bad. It is why I am happy that most people are embracing Trump's position and not his policy. Pro=America as a general stance rather than any specific policy he has made. The position will age better than the man and will act as an ideological conviction instead of a roadblock.

I'm going to have a fucking stroke if you niggers keep calling it "migration" holy fucking shit.

It's immigration. They're not leaving nor have plans to, clearly.
Immigration implies that they plan to become naturalized citizens. We all know that they staying in the country is only as long as conditions are favourable, and they will leave if Trump becomes president again. Just like last time.

No, it doesn't. The only thing it by literal definition implies is that they have no plans on leaving.

"Migration" implies they're leaving. By the definitional difference between the two terms.

Which is why the push for them to be called "migrants" years ago started to begin with.

Which is why I remember a decade ago wondering if that effort would be successful. "Surely such an idiotic attempt to further soften the language around the issue won't work, illegal aliens turning into illegal immigrants, sure but fucking 'migrants'? C'mon" is a good approximation of how I felt when that push first started.

I will never understand how so many fucking people can have their vernacular changed by osmosis alone. It's depressing as fuck. If every media outlet started calling these people "temporary citizens" I'm fully fucking convinced at this point people who are ardent build-the-wall anti-immigration proponents would be calling them that within a decade.

The word "migrant" and the word "migration" would only apply if these people were fucking leaving or had plans to leave. They clearly don't.
