Like, not only does the audience form a para-social bond and sense of attachment to the streamer/e-celeb, but likewise the streamer/e-celeb forms a para-social bond and sense of attachment with the audience, and that this is ultimately why so many of them wind up sharing things they probably really shouldn't share?

Could be a similar thing with Nick - his remaining audience is like, in his mind, a friend whom he can go to and confide in, completely forgetting that these people are complete strangers.

I'll object to the oversharing part, streamers do that because most people can easily talk about themselves, so when they have no real content or anything to say its easy to start talking about yourself and your various weird interests and suddenly you're talking about your balldo. Any good podcast or stream entertainer will have enough brains to not fall into this trap for the same reason. you start talking about your life and at a certain point you say something you'll regret.
