Just doing some general purpose digging on old Murray here...

His wife appears to have been Danette Root.

The city matches up as well - Atlanta.

I found the name "Danette" while looking through what I believe are old newsgroup postings of his. I believe he posted on newsgroups with the name "Danette & Murray Root" in the mid 90s. There are plenty examples if you do a google search for that term - "Danette -n- Murray Root" brings up some as well. The posts aren't that unusual, mostly programming spergery, and it's kind of...adversarial but definitely nothing like the madness that is on display in this thread.

(Note: The mention of being from near Boston, Massachusettes matches up with Murray's Facebook which says he is from Mattapoisett, Massachusetts.)

Was Danette's death a breaking points of sorts for our boy Murray?

Obviously, if this is, indeed, his wife, we have hid kid's names as well. Hmmm.

Edit: I've confirmed that our Murray Root is Murray J. Root, so that essentially proves this info. A search of "Murray J. Root" brings up more mid-90s progamming spergery. Most of this is done with the e-mail address of "murrayr@brain.org" It also leads me to believe that his age is 67.

The latest of his newsgroup spergery that I can find is in 2002. Something weird went on between then and now.

Good find. "Kept it from 'the boys'" also matches up with the fact that obituary only lists sons, no daughters.

I initally thought autistic but he could very well be completely sane and just adopting the trans/mentally ill labels for tumblr cred and a community tolerant of him. The more extreme tumblr 'neurodivergency' communities will excuse pedophilia as long as the person's 'About' page says they're special enough.

Reading this, it feels to me like all of these "people" are headfriends, except "ME" (obviously), and perhaps Jonny. It's weirdly relieving that this mostly just seems to be fantasy. Also, we have here a cause of death for Dani - "Uncontrolled seizures that stopped her heart."

Regarding his age - I think he just makes up different numbers for different moments. Here, he says that was 12 years older than his 18 year old wife when they were married.

That would have made him 30 at the time. Assuming that "10 years," as he says, is how long their marriage lasted, that would mean he was married from 1996 to 2006. That would make him 50 now. So basically...nothing about his age that comes from his own mouth can be trusted.

That's what I'm saying! What company in their right mind would willingly risk this kind of lawsuit? To say nothing of how likely it is that this speds supposed contract could stand up against an assault charge in court.

I'd personally put it the other way around. Being married to this freakshow would cause seizures for even someone with the endless love and melting understanding of the tender compassion of a genuine saint.

There's some very interesting conective tissue here. First, an age claim - again, who knows if it is true at all. "Grim is ANCIENT" - that's an obvious pun on Grim being the Ancient Guardian, who is the "real" Murray Root, I believe. He mentions that he wants to be buried next to Dani - this checks out with Murray. He also mentions Crown Royal and how he is afraid that he doesn't abuse it. This matches up with what his son said in an earlier screencap about him being a drug addict (Though the kid didn't say "alcoholic"...so...

Also, this is 2008, so it predates the whole "headmate/system" tumblrite bullshit.

So he refers to Dani here as his GF, rather than his wife - then proceeds to tell a story about how "Baby" - who appears to be either one of his headmates, or a girl who is/was probably in some serious danger - spoonfed him and nursed him back to health. There is no way that story is true.

My theory:
Okay, this is getting real weird, but also kind of sums up what I've thought from the jump. He's fetishizing and roleplaying a severely autistic child with Turner's syndrome. This is someone - potentially autistic on some level - who has an autism fetish. I can't believe I just typed that fucking nonsense.
