Troon knocks a girl's teeth out during a hockey game: -
I don't think that one's actually a troon. The local school board have a rule that if you want to play a particular sport and there's no team for your sex then you can join in with the other sex. There's no boys' hockey so he plays with the girls. Ludicrous, dangerous, but nothing to do with troons.

Elsewhere Caster Semenya has got a hack to write him an "autobiography" and he is turning up to be interviewed by a series of fawning fuckwits in the media. But none of them have called him out on this photo which appears in the book.

Caster on the beach.jpg

As he himself claims in the caption, this is a photo of a topless fifteen year old girl on the beach. So possibly child porn in some technical legal sense. Did his publishers not point that out to him? Unless of course they don't believe he really is a woman. And not a bloke with a deformed penis.

You might be right, I assumed he was a troon based on this photo

If he's not a troon then why is he (literally) being raised above all the female players? But I suppose that it might be because he's their star player due to his unusually high upper-body strength. In fact, the photo actual supports the idea that he's not a troon, his uniform is slightly different than the other players.

I watched this report on the issue, but it didn't clear that much up IMO

Women pool star refuses to play against anyone who is not biologically female amid a bitter row over transgender competitors (Archive)

  • Alexandra Cunha took the stance after rules of her sport were changed last week
One of the world's top ranked women pool players is refusing to play against anyone who is not biologically female in professional competitions amid a bitter row over transgender competitors.

Alexandra Cunha, who is fifth in the international ranking for female pool players, took the stance after the rules of her sport were changed last week to allow men who identify as women to play in ladies' tournaments that command thousands in prize money.

She is one of dozens of professional female players who are now rebelling against the growing number of trans players who are playing professionally in the women's pool leagues.

They argue that the involvement of players who identify as female but were born male in ladies' competitions is deeply unfair because they have a clear physical edge over women competitors.

These advantages include possessing greater upper body strength enabling them to make a more powerful initial 'break' of the balls which can dictate the direction of a game, the women say.

In addition, trans players are said to be able to play games at a faster pace and have an extended reach when taking shots due to their longer arm span.

The dispute is the latest upset in an ongoing debate over whether trans competitors should be allowed to compete into female categories, which countless sporting disciplines are grappling with.

Ms Cunha, who is based in the UK but is captain of the Portuguese women's national pool team, told the Mail on Sunday: 'I've been playing pool since I was 17 and I'm fifth in the world but I'm risking throwing everything away over this because I hate unfairness.

'I recently played a transgender player and I was destroyed when I lost.'

The 49-year-old also revealed that she wrote this week to the head of a major tournament, known as the International Rules Pool Tour, pulling out of the event.

She informed the organisers: 'As we live in a free world and I will stand up for what I believe is fair, I will not play against any players that wasn't born a woman independently of being a first round or a final.'

Ms Cunha said she offered to continue with the tour if her rules of play were accepted, but she was simply told that her entry fee would be refunded.

The controversy now rocking the top levels of women's professional pool began on October 24 when the sport's international governing body, the World Eightball Pool Federation (WEPF), changed the rules over trans players' participation in female tournaments.

Initially, in August, with increasing numbers of trans players applying to play in women's tournaments, the WEPF had put out a joint statement with its main sponsor the Ultimate Pool Group ruling that 'these events will be exclusively open to individuals who are born female.'

But just eight weeks later there was a shock reversal in this decision, which a number of women players have suggested was made under pressure of legal threats from trans competitors.

The WEPF and Ultimate Pool issued an update on 'competition eligibility for transgender and non-binary players' stating that there would be no discrimination on the grounds of gender identity.

They stipulated that they would operate a gender 'self-identification policy' for competitors, but added that they reserved the right to test that testosterone had been suppressed to the levels required of trans athletes by the International Olympic Committee.

Within a week of this announcement more than 60 professional female pool players joined forces through a WhatsApp support group to oppose the changes, the Mail on Sunday has been told.

One player, Lynne Pincher, said: 'When I heard the announcement last week I spent most of the day in tears - especially because it came after the announcement eight weeks earlier that it was finally going to be a fair field.

'I'm worried now about the future of the game for women. If next year we had eight trans player they would probably be in the top eight.'

Last night Olympian Sharron Davies, who has been a vocal supporter of women's sports remaining single sex, branded the decision to allow trans players to play in female pool competitions as 'heartbreaking'.

She said: 'Pool is a male-dominated sport, like so many, and these women have worked hard to get their own tour.

'These organisations know their game is sex-affected. They know women need their own tournaments to grow female participation & opportunities. They must show courage and decency and stand up for women.'

1936, German olympic high jumper, Dora Rajten:

The Ratjen case is more interesting then some guy pretending to be a woman for no reason. There was a conspiracy theory after the war that the Nazis forced some random guy to pretend to be a woman as a pretext to kick a jewish woman off the team, but that doesn't seem to be what happened. Ratjen was born with ambigious enough genitalia that he was "assigned female at birth"(tm) and brought up as a girl.
A long ass article about that
The Ratjens were simple folk, and although they later took over a bar, they barely made enough money to live on. The couple already had three daughters when Mrs Ratjen gave birth on November 20, 1918. On September 22, 1938 Dora's father Heinrich made the following statement to the police: [...]"When the child was born the midwife called over to me, 'Heini, it's a boy!' But five minutes later she said to me, 'It is a girl, after all.'"
[...] Nine months later [...] Heinrich Ratjen called a doctor and asked him to inspect the child's genitalia while he was at it. Something wasn't quite right, he told the doctor. In his statement to police, he said: "The doctor replied, 'Let it be. You can't do anything about it anyway.'"
[...] the child was raised as a girl. Dora attended a girls' school, was religiously confirmed in 1932 as a girl, and liked playing ball and shopkeeper. "My parents brought me up as a girl," Dora told the police in 1938. "I therefore wore girl's clothes all my childhood. But from the age of 10 or 11 I started to realize I wasn't female, but male. However I never asked my parents why I had to wear women's clothes even though I was male."
Dora started to become particularly concerned when she didn't develop breasts like all the other girls. From the age of 17 onwards she shaved her legs every other day, and sooner or later she experienced her first ejaculation. But she was too embarrassed to talk about what was happening to her. An officer who spoke with the alleged fraudster at length said Ratjen must have felt "sexless," a hermaphrodite forced to accept the cards that fate had dealt. "However because he has lived almost all his life in female circles he thinks he can only live his life from a female perspective."
[...] Ratjen's life became a big game of hide-and-seek; a life among women, first Dora's three older sisters, later with female friends. Dora discovered a love of sport, joined Komet Bremen Athletics Club in 1934, and after graduating from high school she became a packer in a tobacco factory.
[...]By the age of 15 Ratjen was an outstanding high-jumper, and in 1934 she was the regional champion of Lower Saxony and one of the strongest contenders for the German Olympic squad. Dora may have appeared wiry and boyish, but so were many other sportswomen at the time.
[...]Germany had begun feverishly preparing for the Olympic Games since the early 1930s [...]. Hitler and his sports minister were greatly concerned about national comparisons, and determined to demonstrate the German nation's sporting superiority. It was at around this time that Germany's top three female high-jumpers -- Bergmann, Ratjen, and Elfried Kaun -- met for the first time.
Unfortunately, the joy was short-lived for the Jew among them. Whereas Kaun and Ratjen were among the "chosen," as the German press dubbed them, Bergmann was left out by the Nazis shortly before the start of the Games.
[...]"I never had any suspicions, not even once," Gretel Bergmann says to this day. "In the communal shower we wondered why she never showed herself naked. It was grotesque that someone could still be that shy at the age of 17. We just thought, 'She's strange. She's odd.'"
[...]Her unmasking in September 1938 was therefore a liberating experience. "Ratjen openly admits to being happy that 'the cat has been let out of the bag,'" noted a police officer after her arrest. "He has been waiting for this moment for a long time because he was well aware that he wouldn't be able to compete as a woman forever."
[...]a police physician arrived from Magdeburg to determine Ratjen's sex, and came to the unambiguous conclusion: "The secondary sexual characteristics are entirely male. The named person can unambiguously be considered a man." However the doctor did note one distinctive feature: "A thick band of scar tissue running backwards from the underside of the penis in a relatively broad line. It is therefore questionable whether this band of scar tissue would allow him to engage in sexual intercourse in a normal manner." This anatomical anomaly probably explains the confusion about Ratjen's gender at birth.
[...] The very same day, a radio message was sent to Berlin: "Women's European high-jumping champion Ratjen, first name Dora, is not a woman, but a man. Please notify the Reich Sports Ministry at once. Awaiting orders by radio."
Reich Sport Minister Tschammer und Osten reacted immediately. The senior officer called the criminal investigation division in Magdeburg personally and demanded the arrested athlete be sent to Hohenlychen sports sanatorium for further tests. But the results were the same: Ratjen was a man.
[...]Dora promised the authorities he would "cease engaging in sport with immediate effect." [...] Speaking to the Bremen health authorities, Heinrich Ratjen insisted "Dora shouldn't be allowed to wear men's clothing under any circumstances because she couldn't urinate while standing. Nor would he permit Dora to take a man's job." For her part Dora's mother told police she still hadn't come to terms with her child's "transformation from a girl into a man."
[...] Ratjen's father initially even objected to a change of name, while civil servants argued about how Dora's name should be changed. Correcting a person's name and their sex posed a considerable problem for the authorities. It therefore wasn't until January 11, 1939 that staff at Verden district court amended the entry for the girl Dora into "A boy." Two months later, on March 29, 1939, Ratjen's father wrote to the police chief of Bremen: "Following the change of the registry office entry regarding the child's sex, I would request you change the child's first name to Heinrich." And he ended his letter, "Heil Hitler!"
[...] And yet the case was clearly important to the Nazis themselves, as attested by the five-page report signed personally by security chief Reinhard Heydrich and sent to chancellery chief Hans Heinrich Lammers. This letter [...] contains no evidence of any previous manipulation. In fact the report provides an amazingly frank summary of events, including the comment that the case "did not prompt undesirable public debate or even conflict in the international sporting arena."
[...] Damage limitation was conducted behind the scenes, just as the Ratjens had requested. Germany openly returned its European Championship gold medal, and the runner-up in Vienna was crowned the victor. Ratjen's record was struck from the books.
[...] Gretel Bergmann emigrated to the United States in 1937. She found out about the allegedly deliberate Nazi mega-plot from a magazine she came across during a visit to the doctor in 1966. "I had to screech and laugh. Everyone thought I was insane," she recalls.
[...]Time devoted just a few sentences to describing how Ratjen had "tearfully confessed" that the Nazis had forced him to represent Germany as a woman "for the sake of the honor and glory of Germany." The magazine finished the segment with an alleged quote from Ratjen: "For three years I lived the life of a girl. It was most dull." It's not clear if Time ever spoke to Ratjen.
Tldr: Chad hermaphrodite steals gold coins medal from jewess whose been seething ever since

Transwoman footballer forced to quit women's league when rivals refused to play her has secret past as sex worker listed as a 'naughty schoolgirl' with a 'surprise under my skirt' on escort site

A transgender footballer forced to quit a women's league after opposing teams refused to play against her has a secret past as a sex worker who dressed up as a ‘mischievous schoolgirl’ for paying clients, MailOnline can reveal.

Fran Needham, 30, earlier this week withdrew from the South Yorkshire-based Rossington Main Ladies 'for the foreseeable future' after players withdrew from facing her over alleged 'safety' concerns last weekend.

Now the row has taken a new twist as it has emerged that Needham was previously a prostitute who apparently specialised in "cheerleader/schoolgirl" scenarios.

She conceded that this had happened but, while acknowledging her colourful past, Needham insisted this should have no bearing on her eligibility to play women's football.

And she told Mailonline her opponents were intent on forcing her out of the game by ‘dragging up the past.’

Ms Needham said she now works full time in a regular job and is no longer engaged as a sex worker, pointing out that her profile on a sex work website is now redundant.

She said: ‘It is not an active profile, I accidentally left it up but it's something I stopped doing before I began playing football.

‘It is something I have done in the past, I will agree and I am not going to lie about that. However everyone has a past and it shouldn't be brought up out of context.

‘I stopped doing this well before I joined the team and had anything to do with the FA.

‘My personal life is completely separate and distinct from my football life. I have a full time job now and that is part of my past.

‘All I want to be able to do is play football or at least support the team that I played for. I have had tremendous support from my teammates and I'm grateful for that.’

It’s unclear when the sex worker profile was active and Ms Needham declined to discuss further.

Her angry reaction came after thousands of likes for posts revealing how Needham had previously advertised her services as a ‘Pre op trans girl to make your dreams come true.’

Posting a picture of herself in schoolgirl garb, she wrote: ‘Transgender girl before surgery ready to fulfil your fantasies! She can also play the role of a mischievous and entertaining schoolgirl revealing an exciting surprise hidden under her skirt."

She also suggests clients may wish to play the role of a ‘naughty schoolgirl’ who has been sent to her for "punishment."

The profile has horrified the footballing community in South Yorkshire where Ms Needham was forced out of the Sheffield and Hallamshire Women's League because "terrified" opponents refused to play against her.

A source close to the women's football community said: ‘It is clear the birth male playing on the ladies team has been a sex worker.

‘This is a massive safeguarding concern.

‘It's worth bearing in mind this birth male would be sharing changing rooms and single sex spaces with young females."

Ms Needham is now in the process of instigating legal action against the FA.

In a statement posted to the Facebook page of her club, Rossington Main Ladies, based just outside Doncaster, she says her side has 'faced challenges from teams unwilling to play against us while I am on the field.'

She adds: 'This unfortunate circumstance has prompted me to investigate pursuing a case of discrimination, as I believe it represents a breach of a code of conduct regarding diversity and inclusion, as well as safeguarding of adults in football established by both the Football Association and the Sheffield and Hallamshire Women and Girls League.'

The boycott from other teams in the league came about when a player was injured in an on-field incident involving Needham.

The opponent is said to have suffered a broken knee when blocking a powerful strike from the Rossington player.

Needham has only played two games in the league this season, both last month, but hasn't lined up for the club since it became mired in the controversy.

A manager from an opposing team said it was clear after five minutes that Needham was transgender.

The manager said ‘It was obvious. Unfortunately, the FA allowed it to happen but didn't let anyone know. She's quite a big strong player. People have refused to play because they are worried about the safety of the players.

‘My players were backing out of challenges as psychologically it's quite a big thing, when you are playing against a biological man it's quite scary. They were terrified.’

Rossington Main President Gerald Parsons refused to comment on the controversy apart from stating that their opponents 'couldn't raise a team' in recent weeks.

The manager of one of the teams to refuse to play explained the boycott, saying: ‘I have 16 and 17 year old players playing for me and their parents weren't too keen to put their welfare at risk.

‘It is a welfare issue rather than a transgender issue.’

The Family Education Trust's Lucy Marsh told MailOnline: 'It is a serious breach of safeguarding rules to allow a male who clearly has a sexual fetish about dressing up as a schoolgirl to have access to changing rooms and bathrooms alongside girls as young as 16.

'This individual has a public profile as a sex worker and posts explicit images online. Many players in this women's football league are under 18, meaning that legally they are children.'

Fiona McAnena of Fair Play For Women said: 'Footballers are separated by sex for very good reasons.

'If you put one male on the pitch they are faster, they are stronger. It is patently unfair and in a contact sport like football it's unsafe.

'These women didn't choose mixed football, they chose women's football. It's not because this player is trans, it is because they are male.'

She said it 'doesn't matter' whether the player has fully transitioned or not as Sports Council guidance states 'it's not possible to reverse the effects of male puberty.'

She added: 'The law says you can separate in sport on the basis of sex if that is necessary for fairness and safety and clearly it is.'

The FA has a new draft policy on transgender players that is yet to be published. Ms McAnena said the FA had consulted on updating it and 'they need to do something about it urgently because women and girls are getting hurt in football.'

There are presently at least 50 transgender players understood to be registered in women’s leagues across England.

But Needham was backed by her club and fans. Following her departure, supporters said it was 'saddening' and vowed to 'stand by' her as she 'paves the way forward' for other trans players.

The ladies' team secretary said 'in unity we defeat discrimination', while supporters rallied around the former prostitute.

Supporter Sarah Nicholson said: 'So bloody saddening that it has come to this! Wishing you all the best Fran xx.'

Simon Baker said: 'A big decision Fran, but one I believe your teammates, club officials and every Rossington Main Ladies FC supporters, RMLFC, supporter will stand by you on. All the best going forward.'

A third supporter, Julie Large, said: 'Hope everything gets sorted soon it's a very delicate situation but hopefully you will pave the way forward so no one else has to go through what you have xxx.'

Rossington Main Ladies president Gerald Parsons told MailOnline: 'I don't know anything about it and I don't wish to make a comment.'

An FA spokesman said: 'We are working with Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA to find a resolution.

'This issue is complex and constantly evolving, and like many other national governing bodies in sport, we are currently reviewing our transgender policy for English football to ensure it is inclusive, fair and safe for all.'

Rebel News reported on and confronted a 50 year old man swimming against 13-14 year old girls. Of course he used the women's locker room.
The age stuff is so weird to me because as much as I disagree with it I can understand why people allow men who claim to be women compete against women, if you actually do believe that they are women then it does make sense for them to compete in women's sports. But this is the third case that I can think of off the top of my head where a full-grown man gets to compete with teenage girls because he identifies as a woman and even if you believe that he's a woman because he identifies that way he would still be too old to be there.

This troon has just won the Women’s Singlespeed national title at the 2023 USA Cycling Cyclocross National Championships: -

His name is Kyle Small, but he now calls himself "Kylie". He took a couple of silver place finishes in other women's races earlier this year.

He was competing in the male category as recent as April this year. Last season, he came 44th in the CX Male Senior Division. Odd how he's doing so much better when competing against women.....

Golf croquet, unlike association croquet, has some moves where upper body strength can really make a difference. Some of those moves have been demonstrated by its new women’s world champion. Can you spot the champ in this photo?

Yes, the first known biological male to win a female world crown was playing in the men’s division until the pandemic lockdown got him rethinking his sports career. His preferred sport allows self ID, and so he slid into the women’s competition. How did that work out for him?

“What I know is that since playing women’s events, Jamie has won them all: women’s worlds, Australian women’s singles twice, New South Wales women’s singles. Recently, in our team event representing New South Wales as their No 1 woman, Jamie was undefeated in the five-day event. None of the other No 1 women players were undefeated. Perhaps those results tell the story.”

At the women’s championships, actual women were furious, but protesting was not risk-free:

“There was a huge amount of disquiet,” Lightbody said. “But nobody was prepared to say or do anything. I was quite sick about the situation. We thought it would go against us, that we wouldn’t be picked for another team. Everything was hush-hush, everyone was worried about being called transphobic. People told me not to get involved, saying, ‘Don’t do anything, you’ll make yourself very unpopular’. But this just shouldn’t happen. It fundamentally isn’t fair.”

‘I was quite sick about the situation’: Fury as biological male wins women’s croquet world title

Exclusive: Jamie Gumbrell, who competed as a man as recently as 2019, has become the first known biological male to win a female world crown

Oliver Brown, CHIEF SPORTS WRITER13 December 2023 • 5:34pm

On the surface, this year’s Women’s Golf Croquet Championship on the Sussex coast seemed the least likely setting for a scandal. As befitting the game’s image as the most genteel of English summer activities, Dame Mary Berry – herself a keen player – was guest of honour at the opening ceremony, where she received a cake decorated as a croquet lawn. And yet behind the scenes, a fierce row was simmering over the fact that the most prestigious female prize in the sport was won by a biological male.

It is the first known case anywhere of a women’s global title being awarded to somebody born male. Australia’s Jamie Gumbrell, who was competing as a male as recently as 2019, is recognised by the World Croquet Federation (WCF) as having been “assigned male at birth”. But when the sport returned from its pandemic-enforced shutdown, the 23-year-old from Canberra began identifying as female and in August became the women’s world champion at the first attempt.

Telegraph Sport has spoken to several of Gumbrell’s fellow competitors, all of whom are furious about the unquestioning gender policy that enabled the Australian to self-identify into the female category and beat England’s Rachel Gee, the 2011 champion, in this year’s final. Sue Lightbody, a member of the England team at the worlds, said women had no idea they would be playing against a biological male until they arrived at the tournament in Southwick, near Brighton.

Croquet’s gender policy is essentially one of pure self-ID, allowing players to compete according to the “gender identity that they persistently and consistently use”. Ian Burridge, president of the WCF, said: “The fact that Jamie was assigned male at birth is not disputed by anyone. Jamie now identifies as female as her entry into the world championships was determined in accordance with our policy, approved by our members in April 2022. We welcome feedback, given the concerns that exist around speaking out in this area.”

Leading female players argue that Gumbrell, having gone through male puberty, carries immutable physiological advantages in golf croquet. Unlike association croquet, the sport incorporates elements of strength and stamina. “A key shot in golf croquet is the jump shot,” Lightbody explained. “If you’re on the boundary, you can jump over a couple of balls and get through a hoop. I can only do mid-jumps, I can’t do one from the baseline. But Jamie can. That is a huge advantage over a woman.”

Losing finalist ‘was hiding behind her sunglasses because she was crying’

Another female international involved at the worlds, who asked to remain anonymous, said: “It’s not just jump shots. To hit a ball that weighs 500 grams 20 metres, I have to use 80 per cent of my strength. The more strength you use, the more precision you lose. Endurance is also a factor. But in a sense, the ‘why’ is not so important. The world rankings, where only 12 of the top 100 players are women, prove that there is a difference.

“We never thought we would have this problem. I really felt sorry in the final for Rachel, who at the end was hiding behind her sunglasses because she was crying. She didn’t complain. She had been training so hard to be the women’s world champion, and then someone born male comes and takes it away.”

Gumbrell is recorded as having taken part in numerous croquet competitions in Australia as a male, receiving an award in 2019 from the Victorian association for a video promoting the sport to a younger demographic. “Jamie is an up-and-coming croquet player – he has just come third in the prestigious President’s Eights,” the citation read. “He will be competing in the Under-21 and World Open Golf Croquet Championships in England.”

It was post-Covid, when Gumbrell switched identity to female, that everything changed. A source in Australia said: “What I know is that since playing women’s events, Jamie has won them all: women’s worlds, Australian women’s singles twice, New South Wales women’s singles. Recently, in our team event representing New South Wales as their No 1 woman, Jamie was undefeated in the five-day event. None of the other No 1 women players were undefeated. Perhaps those results tell the story.”

‘Something has gone wrong when women’s world champion is male’

By the time Gumbrell arrived at the world championships, as one of 56 competitors from 16 countries, the switch from male to female was an open secret within the game. At several points during the event’s official YouTube stream of Gumbrell’s first match against Louise Smith of England, the commentator inadvertently referred to the player as “he”.

With women in croquet finally prepared to speak out, there is now pressure on the WCF to institute a policy that supports the integrity and fairness of women’s events. Fiona McAnena, director of sport at Fair Play for Women, said: “There are only a few women-only tournaments in croquet. Something has gone wrong when the women’s world champion is male. This isn’t about inclusion, it’s about validation – at women’s expense.”

Neither Gumbrell nor Croquet Australia responded to requests for comment.

“Given the lack of empirical evidence supporting gender-identity theory, one should not assume by default that gender-identity is a more powerful explanatory variable than sex. Being an objectively measurable binary variable, sex has considerable explanatory advantages over gender identity.”

You don’t say
It's a sign of the times that I can't tell if this is a refreshing breath of sanity or another glimpse at the insanity of the whole thing.

I choose to believe that it's the former, otherwise I might find myself slipping.

None of them should be competing against women I don't care what the fuck someone believes I care about what they actually are, and men shouldn't compete against men. The ones who want to compete and worst change with girls who are minors while they are adults should be taken to the parking lot and beaten.

One one hand, it's a shame to see MTF's invading yet another women's sport and space. On the other, it's not too surprising because croquet is a sport where participants are expected to police themselves and conduct themselves with good sportsmanship - traits lacking in the MTFs who feel he need to overtake women's spaces for their own self-gratification. I feel for those event participants who did everything right and felt speaking up would get them disciplined, disqualified, or otherwise canceled under the guise of sportsmanship towards opponents.

The ones who want to compete and worst change with girls who are minors while they are adults should be taken to the parking lot and beaten.
Maybe I'm too old school, but any 50-year old feeling the need to compete in the same event/division as early teens is a brain short of sanity.

Having seen the OP over in the other thread about this, I once again feel for those who feel expressing their concerns will only get them ostracized and canceled.

About a month ago there was a grovelling news story about the first stunning and brave competitor in the WDF Women's World Championships for women darts players. She has now shared her achievement with /r/TransLater.

First-ever transgender woman plays in WDF Women's World Championship

Victoria Monaghan made history on Saturday (December 2) after she became the first-ever transgender woman to compete in the WDF Lakeside World Championships

History was made at the WDF Women's World Championships as Victoria Monaghan became the first-ever transgender woman to compete in the tournament.

The 51-year-old made her first appearance at the competition on Saturday (December 2) in a milestone moment for the sport of darts. Born in the UK, Monaghan moved to South Africa in 1984 - where she began playing darts professionally - before settling in New Zealand after getting married and having two children.

She made the brave decision to come out as transgender in 2019 and made enquiries to the darts body in New Zealand two years later on returning to the sport.

Following her victory of the New Zealand Open title in July 2022, Monaghan continued to break down barriers with her participation in the tournament at the Lakeside Country Club. She took on Suzanne Smith in the first round but was defeated 2-0.

Despite her loss, fans on social media praised her history-making appearance with one X (formerly Twitter) user writing: "Excellent to see the first trans player to play in a world darts championships. Well done Victoria Monaghan!"

Another user praised Monaghan but lamented the trolls that made vile sex references towards female players during a stream of the tournament. They wrote: "All credit in the world to Victoria Monaghan. Sadly it was proven once again how conservative this sport still is, and how vile some of its fans are."

Speaking after her title win last year, Monaghan opened up about how long it took to accept herself and the mental strain she's been through. "It's taken me a good few years for this to settle down, and accept who I am, and adjust to it as well," she said.

"It's a massive mental game. You go through a lot of waifs and strays, you know, you have a lot of thoughts, and there's a lot of down moments and dark moments in your life. But if you can stay positive and true to yourself, you'll always come through on the other side."

this is old news, and he's been mentioned a few times on the forums already, but i recently found out that this tranny is in the Guinness Book of Records for "highest career earnings for a female competitive video game player", awarded 2016. not sure what the exact breakdown of earnings is, but he's known as a profilic StarCraft II player

he seems to be a pioneer, stealing credit for women's accomplishments before it was cool. it's an unholy trifecta of being awarded for:
- being not a real woman
- playing not a real sport
- playing not a real game

say hello to "Sasha" Hostyn (wasn't able to find his real name). here's how he looks with a ton of filters and careful lighting

BONUS: while doing some digging into this, "Sasha" kept popping up in results for "brave and stunning women in gaming" articles. in one of those articles was yet another tranny. say hello to "Maria" Creveling, cosplaying as the hunchback of Notre Dame while playing yet another garbage not real game

interestingly it appears he died suddenly in 2019, a few days after christmas. while no cause of death was ever given, seems quite likely he 41% himself judging by the usual "tranny realizing their fetish has ruined their life" tweets from a few days before

it doesn't feel like christmas.
it just feels like depression.
Can't wait to disappear. Until then I'm stuck being me and I don't quite like it very much.
I hate seeing people live out my dreams more successful and beautiful than I'll ever be. Life feels kind of unfair.

Sasha might be his actual name, it's a unisex name.
Filters and careful lighting are one thing, but those hands are shopped to shit. Like, that's just straight-up lying. He usually tries hiding his hands like some kind of reverse Jack Kelly, but this is what they actually look like

Oh, you think that maybe it's a perspective trick? Fair enough, here's a candid

He's got big fucking mitts, not the dainty little nubs in that photo.
Also, I found this and thought it was funny

He's got a (post-humous) thread. Someone tried to make a thread on him before he died, but it got mocked for lacking content and put in spergatory.
