Sam tells him he's not pulling his weight with work, gives him a 4000 dollar severance pay and Don is basically agreeing with everything he's saying. Don says he fucked up by not working as hard as he needed to and being paranoid. He's totally respectful the whole time. How this was supposed to expose Sam is beyond me.

Yeah, exactly. It was such a non event. Sam probably won't get canceled ever IMO because he is wise enough to record all of these risky interactions so there is a unbiased record of what actually went down. It's hard to stir shit when everyone hears how nicely you were treated and how you accepted the other party's grievances and were given a generous severance.
