can we just remove streamer as a social class? giving people the ability to change culture (by cucking to corporations and advertisers and the vices of degen privilged connected people who want their faggy tranny vices to be astroturfed into virtues, on top of flaunting and normalizing their own weaknesses flaws and vices) because they play vidya with a camera on vs off was a massive mistake. democracy and capitalism have failed. we need to appropriate hasan's house and make twitch illegal. thats almost whats being done to this site even though twitch has objectively done worse for society at a greater scale and twitch is basically a front for child molesters at this point

However, 42% of all the donation money went to Softgiving's wallets, and not to charity.

The only streamer to respond publicly so far has been Asmongold, and he did it in his typical scummy fashion, by acting like a Internet Tough Guy and then saying "who give's a shit" if people got scammed, and then he fucking bans the user who asked about it.

Almost all charities are scams. If you see anyone supporting them then they are in on it, are lazy and have done effectively no research, and or are doing it solely for good boy points. The only charities I might give to are local or church run charities, but those are more often scams than not even then.

This is also hilarious since Critikal seems to be involved and he had a video ages ago where he tried to give money to charities and after extensive research came to the same conclusion and had no idea how to give his money in a way that wouldn't be used in a scam. Guess he just decided to say fuck it and join in rather than have any moral integrity, but then again he did sign his soul (and whatever talent he had left) away the minute he started streaming so its not surprising.

I mean, if they know people won't hold them accountable then why not? They are basically open wallets ready to be stolen from at that point.

I don't get why people donate to charities instead of helping their own communities. Improve the living of the people around you. It is still a good cause and you'll likely get to see the impact of your actions.

If you're ever going to donate anything; make it something physical like canned goods or your time. Money is fungible and you never know where it's going to end up; with something like canned food, you can at least assume no one's gonna use 200 cans of green beans for their personal shopping, and your time is something you donated and can't be parted out anywhere. I also find smaller / local charities do more with less, as opposed to big charities that come with overhead and operating costs and shit.

All that being said, Asmongol is a literal millionaire who can't even bother to clean up his childhood home. I get being stingy and not moving into a mansion, but take care of what you have. Also thought he'd have a little more common sense than to give a "Who the fuck cares" when confronted about charity money. For a former IRS stooge, he certainly doesn't understand how pissy people can get about money.

Last year was Year of the Chud, and Null tried to claim this will be the Year of the Kiwi; but I'm thinking this will be the Year of the Charity Lawsuit.

Huh. It's interesting to finally have a name for that face. Youtube has tried to get me to watch this guy's videos for years and I think I saw maybe twenty seconds of one before I realized he had no idea what he was talking about and was just releasing words that were tangentially related to the topic.

And that he did the stupid 'youtube face' for every one of his title cards...

It's literally YouTube meta; their algorithm looks for a number of things, one of which is faces in thumbnails. It's annoying, because a video will be titled something, then you have some jackass making a dumb face in the thumbnail. Annoying for sure, but literally how to play the YouTube game.
