Believe or not. The Rules Lawyer not even the biggest faggot in the D&D/Pathfinder YouTube community. I agree with clownfish TV on this. Tabletop gaming got pozzed harder than any other fandom with woke nonsense. Especially with Dungeons and Dragons 5E and Pathfinder. Only western cartoons and American comics are worse. D&D YouTube reaching furry fandom YouTube levels of aids. A good example is the Rules Lawyer on YouTube. The Cuck made multiple videos explaining why Pathfinder made a game based on D&D 3.5 rules. It is so much like D&D as it's shocking new information. He also pro-scrubbing Gary Gygax's legacy from Dungeons and Dragons because he puts sexy women in older books and is a libertarian. The man who gets mad over hot women turns out to be a faggot. What saw that coming? Icing on the cake, he is an E-begger because his public defender job supposedly doesn't pay a living wage, just like McDonald's. Is there a geek fandom YouTube community that getting gayer than tabletop gaming or becoming as gay?

I can tell you he is worse now. Now his viewership is collapsing, he is turning his content bread tube to leftwing politics and a gay geek pop culture blog. If you want to set him off, point out that the majority of YouTube censorship that killed his channel is left learning in nature. His recent mazes and masters review was awful and full of historical revisionism. He destroyed his own argument by admitting mazes and monsters' attacks on Dungeons and Dragons had nothing to do with the satanic panic or the conservative Christians he hated so much. The book and movie attacked D&D in a secular nature by using psychological arguments. Psychologists and the mainstream media attacked D&D long before Jack Chick even knew the game existed. Yet his whole video is made to attack Q-Anon. Which is a media witch hunt boogeyman buzzword.

Is there a place where I can learn about the early controversy of DnD?
I tried looking up the psychology angle, but it looks like the results are cluttered with modern takes that DnD has some therapeutic use.

I recommend looking at CBC's early coverage of Dungeons and Dragons. Links related. They attacked Dungeons and Dragons far worse than 60 minutes, as they did later. Yet you see zero satanic panic attacks that bring up religion. They argue role-playing games are similar to police and military training. Effects of violent media on youths. Heck, even mazes and monsters never brought Satanism. It argues role-playing games will cause people to have breaks with reality.

there's this a trend with youtubers, of all sorts of genre, where in order to start begging and shilling their patreon, they will say "you're watching content for free".
As if it wasn't for people "watching shit for free" they wouldn't have that ad, patreon and sponsor money. It's especially annoying when the youtuber that does this is also sponsored by plenty.
Huggbees is also culprit of this, he made a secondary "gaming channel," as if that sort of video was lacking on youtube, and to entice his fandom to watch that other channel, he started saying "oh, there's a channel with all this content, compeletely free" -- which, really, reads "I'm desperate for more views and this is the cheapest and fastest way to pump those videos out."

Also, about people calling videos, "content," you may not like this guy, but this video was decent:

Also, I would put on this list most of the gameplay video makers of YouTube;
Like Vadis77, for example, if I recall his nickname correctly, was a convicted rapist.
It's also fun when you see people playing Mortal Kombat 1 and then to the sloppiest jump-cut to avoid showing gore, in a game that is famous for the gore.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s earnest with his lefty “jokes”, but me and sibling think it’s deep in Poe’s Law territory. In his “ACAB” video, it’s so crazy and having Sonic say Knuckles is black and Knuckles responding “what are you talking about? I’m an echidna!” almost feels like it’s pointing out the whole thing is a joke.

The older healthcare video felt like an old weaker Keenan and Peele sketch Jehtt heard as a kid and aped here. Not funny but not particularly deep either. Fortunately, those are the only two political Sonic videos he made. I won’t torture the thread with the autistic videos, but his Twitter one (made before Musk bought Twitter) is pretty funny and his recent “Tails helps Sonic do his taxes” is okay but stretches the joke way too long.

TLDR: Poe’s Law is alive and well and I’m hoping those two videos were flukes. The rest of his content is decidedly mid.
