It's a common boring person tactic to make it seem like they have a lot more going on in their life than they actually do. Phil himself has a more generic variant when he insists that he's too busy to do XYZ, only to later reveal that all he did after a stream was babysit an upload then spend the rest of the night in the stables with his horse watching some other YouTuber. Or acting like his day off is some arduous day filled with busy activities when it's typically just order Doordash breakfast, grocery shopping, lunch at an overpriced restaurant, maybe a trip to the dump/hair salon, then doordash dinner.

OIC used to use the gym as his primary shield. He dipped his toes into having a dog and fiance, and would sometimes insist he was busy with work. It's why he was "on hiatus" for so long despite still reliably being around, or saying he's been so busy he hasn't watched Phil in like 2 months or whatever.

The issue is, it's so easy to tell when someone is lying/exaggerating because they never go beyond surface level takes and don't have any actual stories to tell, so they just lean into the most basic takes in an attempt to allude to being busy and having more going on.

If we are to believe him on that, the dent who edits it must be one of the 1-2 people DSP genuinely trusts.
