Twitch & Their Competitors / r/LivestreamFail / Live Streamer Community - Imitation of Hollywood

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
The TL;DR of the article is that all of these streamers had streams where the promoted various charities run by Softgiving, and said all of the donations made during the stream would be donated to those charities. However, 42% of all the donation money went to Softgiving's wallets, and not to charity.
And yet we’re the ones who need to be deplatformed.

Asmongold is one of those people that you watch when you're too retarded to form an opinion of your own, so his followers will believe whatever he shits on their plate

He always had the ego of a mountain just because he has money (him acting like an asshole about this isn't surprising), yet he doesn't use any of that to take care of himself and instead posts his blood smeared wall on X because his gums were bleeding and he didn't have anything to wipe on

Or how the fucktard got his mother cigarettes while she was on oxygen and she blew herself up

The only streamer to respond publicly so far has been Asmongold, and he did it in his typical scummy fashion, by acting like a Internet Tough Guy and then saying "who give's a shit" if people got scammed, and then he fucking bans the user who asked about it.
Did he just say "who gives a shit"? You! You should probably give a shit dude. I mean, it's reasonable to tell people that you'll have to look into what they are alleging first since you're just being confronted with it on livestream. With this, I don't even really need to look into the evidence that hard in your case. I'm of the opinion that you're guilty as hell.

You'd think someone who is essentially a dancing monkey, might understand that shit done in his name, under association with, or otherwise in cahoots with, might have an idea about keeping or saving face. May as well claim he raped and murdered a girl behind an Arby's in 1998, because I doubt he'd care.

Interestingly, softgiving was known to be a scam for a while now, when I was looking at it on youtube I found a number of videos on this subject from early 2023, although they had only few thousands views. I suppose until a journo covered the subject, streamers could just pretend that everything is in order and ignore the claims made by some literally who channels. Still, one would think that if they were aware of it for so long they would try to clear themselves of allegations by breaking from softgiving earlier or figure out a better defense line than just 'dude, who cares lmao, get banned', but that's likely asking too much foresight from these braindead clout chasers.

As grating as Asmongold is in this situation, he is probably the smartest out of all the content creators. He just shuts the fuck up and never talks about it.

The more he talks, the more he incriminates himself.

Posting an "apology" video or any sort of statement would only make this worse. The next step would probably be to lawyer up.
See that's what I was thinking. Devil's advocate, but, if at the time that chatter had come in wanting a comment and the allegations were at the time just allegations and not proven I get the sense in saying something like "yeah so what". Of course I'm sitting here now with the hindsight of Happenings but if nothing was proven at the time (I was a bit fuzzy on that and wasn't actually sure) then yeah what else do you do but say "what the fuck would you like me to say about every single accusation anybody could just make up". Granted, Asmongold is a giant shitheel, but I get it.

TBH running from it is far worse than just owning up to it. A lot of charities take a cut of donations to pay for operating expenses. If you just apologied for not knowing, Then do a new charity stream for some existing group you'd easily turn it into a PR win.
That is assuming there is not a good chance you get caught lying about not knowing.

Parasocialism is extremely powerful, Twitch is built off of lonely teens and 20-somethings with no friends who get entertained by listening to "charismatic" personalities talk into a microphone for 6 hours a day. Female streamers are even more popular because that same demographic is vulnerable to the sound and appearance of any cosplaying, cutesy uwu girl who looks vaguely asian. That's how Emiru of OTK fame and Pokimane have an audience despite being boring and uninteresting.

Those said female streamers are also popular in Turkey and South Korea, as men watch them on Twitch, to get around their countries' respective porn bans. What happens with Korean viewers, with Twitch Korea shutting down, will yet to be seen.

I remember watching her content on the 'hub, years ago. She actually looked pretty decent then.
In other words, "I TOTALLY jacked off to that whore back in the day". Classy.

Think with your head, not groin.

LivestreamFails is so fucking gay. Why do these loser mods sweep it up so diligently for e-celeb streamers who don't even know who they are, for no reward? They run interference to preserve these rich faggots' reputations from just criticism for FREE.

Hasan threw a temper tantrum a few years back demanding that he be forbidden from being mentioned because, much like most of the cows mentioned on this site, he thinks that an active catalog of his misdeeds qualifies as "harassment", and the jannies acquiesced immediately.
Typical Hasanabi conduct.

I would say that this is indeed gay,  but but that those who assiduously try to get featured on fucking LivestreamFails are even worse.

Salient examples which have threads here are the dynamic spedrunning duo of Cyberdemon531(link) and rWhitegoose(link) , who both used to submit their own tomfoolery using alt accounts.

Fucking attention whores.

So, zoomzooms with brainrot willingly gave up their money to a charity ran and primarily represented by:

- A coomer manchild with hoarding problems,
- a room-temp retard with a speech impediment,
- nu-WoW players,
- some douchey-looking tard,
- and a notorious champagne commie.

It's disgusting, but you gotta respect the hustle here. It takes barely a minute to dig files on each of these clowns, and yet, they swindled millions and had their audience shocked at this revelation. Just with the way they behave and portray themselves on stream, I wouldn't trust any of those clowns with accounting or PR, yet, they still managed to grab the bag.

It's an airtight scam: cultivate an audience of soft handed midwits, reap the crops after a while with a shell project, and wait for regrowth as the tard victims excuse your behavior. Sure, it's not noble, but damn that pays.

I have a feeling that despite this possibly being worse than what Jirard did, the amount of big names involved, and more importantly, big names that normally would report or make videos on this being dead silent because everyone is part of the same massive Twitch/YouTube circlejerk nowadays will mean no one will care.
If Karl Jobst or Muta go after something that has Hasan and Asmongoloid involved, I would be very surprised, but I wouldn't be if they did jackshit about this.
Is it though? And this is me asking out of ignorance here. Jirard owner of charity sat on the money for over a decade. This thing if I'm understanding correctly is more of a "oh wowzers, charities have operational costs that sometimes are so bloated one wonders what the fuck the point is!". So what the next quote says basically.
I hate 99% of people who stream for a living. Thank you for posting this, this is pretty scummy but I do have to inform everyone unless the charity organization is taking something like greater than 80% of the money as profits, it's actually not illegal in the United States. I might be wrong about that percentage but please look it up, 501c charities registered with the IRS are required to put the proceeds to their causes for a shockingly low amount of money and still not file taxes as a charitable organization. it's pretty offensive when you find out how many Charities are collecting surprisingly large percentages for their own personal gain. What's even more offensive is the $100,000+ a year salaries the people at the top of these charities deem themselves to deserve.
And 42% is still a long way from 80. Hell, I remember one of the more baffling things about the Jirard thing is that they didn't even donate 10% which is a pittance, but it also covers the legally from any actual fuck you in the ass IRS repercussion. Hell, I remember having this revelation ages ago when I learned about how some big name charity's operational costs, and how nothing was really forcing a decent percentage of the money going to the intended target

So basically this sounds a lot less like a scam (from a legal sense, all charities are scams from a moral standpoint except very local shit you can see with your own eyes) and a lot more like another lesson on why giving to charities is retarded, giving to charities boosted by streamers (or pretty much anybody that isn't a personal friend, since most people publicly pushing are getting a part of the cut as well) is doubly retarded and giving to a "charity middle man" (Softgiving basically sounds to be exactly this) who gives to other charities boosted by a streamer is triple retarded.

Basically, Jirard is fucked because there are real legal consequences that will happen from their shoddy operation, so even if Jirard hadn't been a retard, taped himself admitting that everything was shady as fuck and threatened the people that had said tape, he would still have a very big problem sooner or later. These streamers and softgiving? Just your standard charity operation! So as long as they do the same as Asmongoblin and never talk about it, it will blow over and 0 fucks will have been given. Never forget how change the channel panned out. So any damage that any streamer can cause to themselves with this would be self inflicted. Same shit as Better Help, no real consequences that I'm aware of and a good chunk of the guys that shilled it still operate, same deal with the... what was the stupid shit pushed by the SKEPTICS for a while which was basically a data harvesting scheme? Same deal...

Only donate to streamers who literally show evidence that they are donating. There is NO trust online nowadays.
Wouldn't you just cut out the middle man or use one of their "affiliate links" or whatever? I mean all charities are by and large pretty scammy in my opinion, I'd sooner trust them than some streamerfag to actually forward all the cash to the right people.

So did the streamers know it was a scam?
the real question is whether streamers got paid upfront by charities or structured an arrangement where a portion of the donations would make its way back into their own pockets.

sg1.jpg

from their FAQ.

...so to go on and say that 100% of the donations will go to charity when in reality 42% of said received donations will knowingly be redistributed across content creators to pay them for their services (as if you need the fucking money) is course a tad bit retarded, you're doing a charity drive for fuck's sake, just donate all of it and if you require a commission for your charity stream then you should eat hot shit.

Man it's gonna be great to finally see Asmon catch flack. I don't watch his stream at all but what little I've seen of him in the past makes him seem like a midwit that thinks he is a genius. Apparently he has been celebrating the Completionist getting called out so the irony is hitting just right for me.
