I had been planning to; but after his downfall I'd prefer second opinions. I suppose if there is an audio book, I've nothing else to listen to at work.

Ilium/Olympus involves Shakespeare and Prost quoting robots from Jupiter investigating post-human gods on Mars re-enacting the Trojan war. Then it gets weird.

Don't let Balldo ruin it for you, it's a wild read and may be my favorite scifi book series ever. My only real complaint is it's got some immediate post-9/11 messaging that's pretty dated at this point. Still very much worth checking out.

Simmons' Hyperion Cantos is also very good, although the sequel Endymion series is not nearly as enjoyable.

I dunno about Ilium, but Nick used to speak glowingly about Ayn Rand's Anthem.

Which, to be fair, is not a bad little novella.

If he were blabbing on and on about that now, instead of American Beauty or Redo of Healer, he'd be slightly less ridiculous. And I say that fully aware Randroids can be very lulzy.
Agreed, Anthem is Rand's only enjoyable book. It gets her ideas across without the constant 50-page autistic monologues assaulting the reader in all her other books. It also doesn't shock me that her crippled view of interpersonal relationships and human motivations appeals to Nick.

I know for a fact that Audible has it. I remember looking into it after one of the times he recommended it, it sounded fine.
Here, have a phonefag screengrab of it.
Idk it just sounds like a guy who really likes Sci-Fi and Greek mythology a little too much smushed them together. But I've not read it either, so I'm not one to talk.

Edit: also it's almost 30 hours long. The Iliad and Odyssey combo audio book is only 25 hours and Fellowship of the Ring is a little over 19 hours, as a comparison.

Man, that summary makes it sound...eh. The way Nick talked about it I figured it'd be more. Guess I'll grab an audible sub; assuming that's the best thing for audio books these days.

That sounds a little cringe, but, I'm sure I've read worse. I'll give it a shot.

I think Baked Alaska outright proves that and it was the opposite of what people thought. Baked wasn’t a fed, Fuentes is. Baked is just a retard who Fuentes used.
Baked is the feds favorite kind of guy: one so stupid and manipulabke he becomes an asset and doesn't even know it. But he's also not like Chaggot where he's so dumb and unhinged he can't even follow directions. Nick and Milo and all the other wanna-be-glow-nigger degenerat4s in that hive just lead baked around by the nose.

I literally warched his 3rd show live and would religiously either watch live until i think it was around the first Jamaica trip when a lot of the night shows became too degenerate for me and my skip rate got real high. I had always skipped about half the guests and most all the drex shows, which i think probably did nick a lot of favors in my mind.

I was souring on him pretty hard in general by the Murdaugh trial and totaly gave up on him after the jury analysis rant.

Would you guys feel a little bit responsible if it turns out he started drinking because he's depressed about this thread? :story:
Only very very slightly. The turn this thread had against him was mostly after his content started noticeably getting less entertaining and he began going on retarded sex rants (then the Hedo Revelations). If the consequences of your actions causes you to be depressed then maybe don't be a coomer on stream so much and put a tiny bit of effort in making engaging content before there's no turning back

Honestly, does anyone think that Nick will settle? He is too deep into this and he blocked that option by saying that it was a "freeze peach" issue and he is making a stand on it. Fuck this degenerate coomer. I hope you make a million dollars Nick.

It really depends on how much it's going to cost him. When Nick took this lawsuit on, he had bottomless superchats, was coining it at about a million a year and he believed that he'd be able to monetize the whole thing.

All of that's changed now. His audience were never interested in footing the bill for his lawsuit. He managed to get less money than Monty in his beg-a-thon. Superchats are crawling in. And who knows how much Rumble are likely to pay him next time around. It seems unlikely to be even remotely close to what they paid him last time out.

Also, why would you expect him to be consistent? He's never had any problem doing 180 degree turns on issues in the past. Why would he have a problem backtracking on this one?

I've no way of knowing what he'll do one way or the other, but if his appeal fails, he'd be stupid not to at least try and settle. I think it would depend, in part, on how easy Montegraph and his lawyers make it for him. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he settled. Shit, I'm still astonished that he's taken it this far. And you've seen how far his locals go to justify his retarded behaviour. Nick says 'jump', they'll just ask 'how high?' So it's not like he'll lose his audience by settling.

So I wouldn't bet real money on it, but if the appeal fails, I'd expect his lawyers to explore settlement. And if pursuing the lawsuit is going to cost him another $100k -- with the possibility of another payout if he loses -- and he can settle it for $50k, he'd be retarded not to settle.

I also think he's dropped hints that this might be in the future. He's talked about how miserable the lawsuit is making him and how much it's costing him. That could well be early conditioning of his audience.

"Of course Nick had to settle. It was costing him hundreds of thousands and making him really miserable. It was affecting his family. It doesn't mean he was wrong, it was just the smart thing to do from a financial perspective."

All that said, I really hope he doesn't settle. I hope he takes it all the way to the Supreme Court, even if he has to sell his house to pay for it.

I wish Nick Fuentes would be murdered or commit suicide so Kino Casino would stop talking about him. I don't get the appeal. I want the faggot dead.
So they can talk more about the other faggot Nick.
Same, out of all the segments they have, Fuentes is the most boring. He was and he continues to be. I don't lurk on Nick's thread too often, but it is quite obvious that he puts on a bit of a character for his streams. It's like Jerma985 in some sense, but it's not comedic neuroticism that is being put on, in Nick's case it's this perfomative faggotry. Yes, he may very well be gay himself, but it's really clear that at least part of it is played up for views and coverage.

This leads to any Fuentes segment (with a few exceptions like the summer Cozy implosion) being this:
Nick - Hey, would't it be funny if I sucked cock? Ach-ach-ach, I think a monkey is better than a woman.
PPP - Holy shit, Andy, bring that back, what did he say?!
Andy - Wow buddy.

The whole thing got kind of stale 1.5 years in. IMO it's because in Nick's case it's not really genuine. With other segments: Cog is actually seething, Rage Twig is actually demolishing his life, while Nick is just eating a french fry in a gay way. They need to drop him like they dropped Ralph after he stopped being interesting.

I always had a suspicion that one of Nicks problems was the fact that he missed or rather skipped childhood/adolescent carefree jungle monkey phase so now he is regressing and compensating for being a boring young man. I had a case like that in my own family, when person decided in his 30s to behave like irresponsible stupid teenager for a couple of years, totally out of his character. But the person was extremely well behaved and responsible as a kid, a teenager and later in Uni and with work. I don't know when Nick got married, but it had to be fairly early. Producing child after a child after a child would inhibit almost everyone's inner monkey. Monkey sadly demands expression ans it is tragic when it happens to grown ass people, even more tragic when kids are involved.

I have a friend doing that now but at least he had the curtesy to wait until after his divorce.

Never finished any of the models....Tends to be a common problem in Warhammer, people have a shopping problem with hundreds to thousands of dollars of plastic they never touch.
Hey I’ll get around to that box of Phobos Kill Team some day! Just when I finish painting the starter box of into the dark, the terrain is primed I’ll get it done I just need some new brushes and what if they finally have Inquistoral Agents in stock I’ll have to pick some up

But I said it before Rekieta should’ve switched into talking about 40k instead of what he’s talking about now. He’s completely alienating his followers with personal therapy sessions. Maybe sitting and painting minis, poorly even, would be better than drunken 3am rants in his kitchen. And 40k lore would be far superior to American Beauty rants.

The more literary side of the scifi/fantasy genre always sounds like a shaky proposition to me because combining fart huffing with jetpackshit or magicshit almost has to lead to cringe by default. Though I'm guilty of various literary crimes myself including this so I suppose I have no room to judge Nicki for his taste in books.

I’ve seen a couple of people do this as well and it is just sad/pathetic. There’s something in their head about how they “wasted” their 20s because they totally could have been partying and slaying poon instead of acting all mature. It’s just a delusion, and it would have turned out they same way it did for a lot of us: cringy albeit somewhat funny memories about being a dumbass kid. A lot of us got our retarded, degen behavior out in our 20s while a lot of people like Nick acted above it all. Do they not get how embarrassing it is to do shit like this in their 30-40s? Worse, they have other people that rely on them now, and now is when they want to act like a jackass?

Too late nigger, just act your age. You didn’t “miss out” on anything noteworthy anyhow.

Monty was only seeking 50k. Estimates on here range from 80k to well over 100k, and that was before the appeal was accepted. He's well past the point of a logical settlement.

If Schneider does indeed have a personal grudge against Nick he might advise Monty not to take any settlement as a means of hatefucking Rackets into the dirt.
I doubt Rekieta's word, so I doubt this is personal for Schneider, to the point he would potentially screw Monty. The flip side is, I think Schneider probably does enjoy the opportunity to knock the Balldoman down a peg or two, given the bizarre tales Nick has told. So it's a weird balance, but I see nothing so far that indicates Schneider wouldn't act in the best interests of his client. Given the warnings Monty has given to related parties (like Sean), nothing to me indicates Monty's been unreasonable.

Hypothetically, if Rackets came, hat in hand, with a public apology, the $50k, and lawyer's fees, I would be shocked if Schneider would advise Monty against it. For that matter, I would be shocked if Monty would turn that down.

I just don't think Balldoman has it in him to admit fault.

What practicing lawyers do when people come to them with a potential lawsuit is something Nick might not be familiar with: Tell them how much it is likely to cost and advise them to consider very seriously whether their financial situation can tolerate that and if so, if they are willing to spend that much without folding.

Laymen generally have no idea how much it costs to mount a legal case but practicing attorneys do. If a lawyer says “This will likely cost at least $150k in legal fees with no guarantee of it stopping there or winning,” you believe them. A lot of clients think they know better, though — even ones with no legal experience.

I can see Nick the non-practicing lawyer thinking he knows better. “Oh no way. They’ll give up as soon as they see I’ve hired a scary big shot law firm.”

I suspect Nick has already spent more than he’d ever imagined would be necessary, and of course his ego won’t let him settle.

It’s not his thread that’s driving Nick to drink: It’s the knowledge that he is in way over his head with no end in sight.

I would argue that he at least semi-consciously wants to be in over his head with his addictions and retarded personal choices so he can be just like his hero Kevin Spacey in that gay little movie he's obsessed with. The only question is who or what will play the part of Kevin Spacey's gay nazi neighbor in this LARP.

Very well said. It's probably coming mostly from his father figure, that seems consistent with his inability to accept any positive guidance ever (i.e. refusing to "pull up" because it was said in a "faggy way").

Add in the final wrinkle that even while he maintained that upstanding Christian schoolboy life, he was admittedly addicted to pornography. Instead of seeking help or guidance, it's far more likely he kept it close to his chest. Whether that's because he didn't see it as a problem, he thought he could beat it on his own (no pun intended), or he was simply scared that admitting he had this flaw would further alienate his father from him, it hardly matters now.

It's caused a perfect storm where he wants to let his monkey loose, and his porn addiction has completely tainted what that means to him. Then people come in and tell him to knock it off, but that daddy issues neuroticism flares up leading him to reject it. All the while, he's drunk as shit. The support structures aren't there to protect Nick from himself. He hates his parents, he probably screams over Kayla like she's Sean if she raises concerns, and then all he has left is Drexel and Camelot who endorse his self-inflicted sex-fueled life ruination.

He's already deluded himself into believing that scheduling his sobriety to coincide with his professional obligations counts as making the necessary changes to turn his life around. He probably does that same shit with his porn addiction. "I'm getting it under control by only jerking it to tranny cuckold rape hentai at all times except Tuesdays at 8:45pm!" Congratulations, enjoy Hell.

I don't think he should be taken seriously when he says he "struggles" with porn "addiction" if only because he's the exact kind of fag who would spin it that way for pity from the drooling retards still giving him money rather than actually thinking of such a thing as a problem in his life and trying to fix it.

Nick would be better off taking his channel into some total left field like vegetable gardening or aquariums than doing what he did. Something that is still somewhat on brand like 40k or other nerd shit would be a down right good idea. Nick kind of left the animes behind after the vick thing but IDK why, the outcome of the case changed very few people's positions. And he got a lot of money from them.
