24 hours since Katt William’s explosive interview on Shannon Sharpe’s “Club Shay Shay” podcast set the social media streets on fire on Wednesday, reactions have been pouring in at monumental levels.

If you’ve somehow missed the hubub, let me summarize it for you in four simple words: Katt Williams chose violence. No, not physical violence of course, but verbal violence in the form of setting the record straight and throwing “truth” bombs (and straight up shots) over the course of nearly three hours towards nearly every Black comedian and a handful of Black entertainers in Hollywood.

I’m talking folks like Cedric the Entertainer (a.k.a. the “walrus), Steve Harvey (a.k.a. “Mr. Potato Head), Kevin Hart, Rickey Smiley, Faizon Love, Michael Blackson, Ludacris, Earthquake, Tyler Perry, Diddy, Jonathan Majors and more. He also managed to drop a myriad of quotables that’ll live rent free in my mind for the next three decades (“you having an unnatural allegiance to losers is unlike you” is the most delicious, pointed, backhanded, yet still somehow complimentary word salad I’ve feasted on in a LONG TIME.)

And while a handful of comedians have already issued their responses back to the “Friday After Next” star, it appears too little too late as most folks online have chosen sides—and unfortunately for them, they’re siding with Katt:

“Not Katt Williams saying at least 7 comedians have a ‘light skinned, weird face wife’ who doesn’t talk. Bruh....WHAT?! He’s letting the choppa SPRAY,” wrote one user.

“I don’t even know why they be messing with Katt Williams. He don’t start nothing, but he always finishes it,” said another.

“Shannon Sharpe just said “Hello” and Katt Williams was like: I’ll begin with a list of everyone who I think is untalented in alphabetical order. After we finish up with that i’m gonna tell you about all the people who stole from me,” wrote one user.

“Katt williams is somehow both a prolific truther & a prolific liar & THAT is why his talent for compelling storytelling is inimitable. No one has perfected the skill of espousing complete and utter shenanigans while telling the bare naked ass truth like he has. Literally 1 of 1,” another user said.

“5 minutes into this Katt Williams interview and this already might be one of the greatest interviews of all time,” wrote another.

Some other comedians who thankfully didn’t catch a stray also stood up for the “First Sunday” star, writing in the comment sections on Instagram:

“Katt likes me, I hope,” said DeRay Davis.

“He [Katt] took me on the road and I love me and Katt Willims,” said Ms. Pat.

“Nah, Kat has his gun OUT,” said rapper Lil Mama.

“Scandal” star Columbus Short even chimed in, seemingly piggybacking off of Katt’s claims of Cedric’s allegedly shiesty ways, posting a video detailing a story of how the comedian and calling him a “bitch made nigga.” (Though to be fair, many folks in the comments weren’t all that receptive to his tale given the fact that he got his own self cancelled through sheisty actions years ago.)

At any rate, with this only being the fourth day into 2024, if Katt’s interview is any indication for what the rest of this year has in store—we better all duck and cover. You never know who might be next.

Thank God someone is finally saying what everyone knew, Steve Harvey isn't funny, Cedric the Entertainer isn't funny, and Wanda Sykes isn't funny. Bernie Mac was funny and that's why they probably killed him. The Mark Curry/Steve Harvey skinwalker thing is creepy, and the attempt to make Ludacris a thing is finally spelled out, and confirmed because he does have a mid light skinned black woman handler of a wife.

You forgot him smashing Kevin Hart's career. He had no career outside of the east coast and suddenly he comes to LA and he's a star. Called Kevin a Hollywood plant just like Ludacris. And that Steve Harvey tried to snake Bernie Mac's role in the Oceans 11 films out from under him.

People on Youtube have already made videos showcasing the joke theft of Cedric the Entertainer, who posted a response where this fat dipshit said, "I'VE HAD JOKES STOLEN TOO.". Bitch, that doesn't give you the right to steal people's closing bits. Also made him sound hella guilty like he's saying. "THEY STOLE FROM ME, SO I STEAL FROM YOU. WHAT ABOUT IT?". Slimy faggots. Also posted the verbatim joke theft committed by Steve Harvey of Mark Curry's material years after Mark did that shit on TV. That shit was the creepiest part of the whole interview.

I'm seeing people on social media claiming they had no idea Steve Harvey wore a hairpiece. I could kind of expect that from white people, but I'm seeing the "black social media" saying it too.

...like, really? I could have sworn that black comedians called him out on this years ago.

Oh... carry on, then.

Full disclosure: Would smash like the fist of an angry God.

He did put on a dress for Robin Hood Men In Tights. Early in his career, which might have made him vow to never do it again, but he did.

Hmmmm I've give this one a pass since it's a bit where the 4 main characters try to sneak into the tournament and thr joke is how bad they look. I'm talking stuff like Big Momma House and what ever Tylor Perry is.

While it was THE seminal work in race relations, I'm not sure this masterpiece is entirely relevant here
I was commenting on the fact @JohnnyG laid out his theory and it was literally just what the last 20 minutes of Buck Breaking is about. I don't particularly think it has anything to do with this Katt Williams thing, just that this commenter unironically presented tariq talking points.

My brother in Christ, they're niggers. Of COURSE they believe that because someone stole from them that makes it acceptable to steal from others. They believe taking things that don't belong to them is acceptable for a number of reasons. That's why 13%/50% is a thing.
