In honor of Rekieta storming to victory in the Lolcow of the Year voting, I put together this highlight reel of what 2023 was like in the Nick Rekieta thread.
The original plan was to create a compilation of videos of Nick talking about "Mandy" superimposed into the picture Buffalo Dan posted of his computer screen, but it eventually expanded into fitting as many different storylines that have played out on the Nick Rekieta thread (and also Elissa's channel) over the past year that I could into roughly 10-12 minutes. My main goal with this is to shoutout @elb for her tireless clipping work, which can't be thanked enough. The vast majority of the clips I used in the video came from her channel. It's remarkable how easy making this was.
The clips are presented to give context as to why Nick Rekieta is clearly the Lolcow of the Year. As such, I did not focus on making the video proceed in chronological order and put more time into to linking the various storylines of the past year in a somewhat coherent way.
While the goal is to focus on 2023 so as to demonstrate why Nick won the LOTY voting by such a massive margin, I put a few clips from 2022 in the video for context. I believe I have clearly demarcated any older clips with their dates.
Note: the bottle count from the "within arm's reach" clip of 23 bottles of liquor plus 6 off camera is actually an underestimate. The clip was getting very long as it was, but if you go through the spoiler and click through to my clip of the stream from several months ago, he goes through more bottles afterwards, displaying two more bottles and mentioning three bottles of Boss Hog whiskey. That makes the total by my count is 25 bottles plus 9 mentioned but not shown on camera. He concludes the clip by drinking out of the 25th bottle.

I kind of drifted away from Rekieta during the height of the whole weeb wars / vic thing because I was getting bored with what a clusterfuck it all was because of so much incompetence. I recognized Rekieta's name from all that so I peeked in on his thread to see what's up only to be horrified to learn of the existence of a balldo.
Now that Nick has lost his Rumble contract and won Lolcow of the year, I want to remind all of my fellow kiwi fags of Nick's wise words: "life doesn't work out the way you pretend it does."
Typically we have these gatherings in someone's fenced in back garden which is much more cramped and certainly not open to the road, forest, or rest of the village. This limits the numbers of roving children to what can comfortable fit within a house. Large institutions (e.g. schools, Scouts, and others) are the ones who typically orgianise these types of events, and they are very structured with boundaries.
Parks are generally smaller and you need permits for larger gatherings. It is quite a bit of effort to get enough food together. If we go out to the country, typically fire and cooking implements are not permitted on forestry land for fear of fire.
Perhaps it is a misconception, but I imagine the United States to be much more open and somewhat wild where children would more easily dissappear into wild country.

The show you’re talking about was her second appearance & the one below, from May 2019 (six months previous to the second appearance) was her first. Mentioning this not because such a detail matters but to compare the two videos against each other & the final post below puts it best.
Kayla’s looks, mannerisms, facial expression & whole personality are dramatically different when comparing her appearance on Nick’s show in May 2019 to November 2019. And in the November 2019 show is when she goes on about the psych meds she’s taking. Seems very possible if not probable, that one or a combo of the meds caused a huge shift in her personality & not necessarily for the better. Long term, who knows what effects it has caused.
I think previous posters have had it right in speculating that Nick is the driver of the degeneracy & that Kayla is so desperate for attention & approval from Nick that she follows his lead.
Kayla is a remarkably stupid, woman. Almost borderline legitimately retarded at times.
Also, everything about her is incredibly obnoxious. She & Nick deserve each other.

That more recent (relatively speaking) Branca election night stream is the main reason I feel like they're one of those stereotypical reddit cuck couples where the woman is the one who asked to "open" the relationship and the man ends up sitting in the corner jacking it. The way she behaved there didn't seem at all like someone who was just along for the ride and she kept pushing it further and further without him telling her to. I know this will sound like schizo-tier esoteric balldoism but this image he tried to build up of her as a wholesome mom/housewife seems like the biggest, shakiest lie he's told over his entire career because the truth of them functionally being an average r/atheism couple who happened to have a few kids instead of being r/childfree while LARPing as trad christians would be utterly humiliating to him.

Kayla's "mugging" and overly dramatic expressions clicked for me when I saw posted a photo of her acting on stage in some community theatre production. Kayla is a "theatre kid". She was the cute, popular girl in high school. I kind of give Kayla a pass on her expressions, only because of an interview I saw once of some actor ( I think maybe Tony Randall) who was wildly successful in both theatre and movies. They explained that acting on the stage requires very 'large' expressions. You are acting to the people in the very back row or up in the balcony. Subtle does not come across. In contrast, movies (or video) requires a different set of chops. It is all about the tiniest curl of the lip, or the slight shifting of posture. ("I'm ready for my close-up Mr. DeMille") You must be able to emote with very subtle changes or it comes across as inauthentic.
Then comes mean old Father Time. Men often grow into their looks, and become more handsome as they age. Those awkward angles blur and soften. For women, especially after children, that lustrous hair dulls and tight muscles fade and gravity starts to pull. Nick all of a sudden becomes the popular one, the one that people pay attention to. Kayla becomes the "little woman" raising kids with her wrecked body. A pill to bitter to swallow, perhaps. Many a woman has felt left behind by a partner who finds success. Sadly, all the plastic surgery and wife swapping in the world cannot fix that type of insecurity.

There was a stream right after new year 2019 where she was on the show for an hour. The only interesting parts about it were Kayla talking about Nick's gay story and how she beats up Nick. She is drunk from the start and drinks some more whiskey straight from the bottle at one point. It is really hard to watch through.
I think that is a $500-$600 whiskey. And he has three bottles just sitting around the streaming area?
Its a flavored rye whisky and there never seemed anything good about it. Let alone justify that kind of price.
Is all his booze that expensive? If he averages even $300 a bottle per night, that could be over $100k in a year.
