Why are American conservatives so retarded and self sabotaging?

The economy impacts everyone no matter which side of the American political spectrum you are on. It's funny because the normie conservatives support the economic policies that keep the economy in a shit state so they can't afford to have kids. Plus most American conservatives shit on poor people. The people that are most likely to have kids. Your average normie conservative falls for all that nonsense about capitalism free trade and free markets. When it's all those things that have destroyed the US economy over the 30+ years and sent their blue collar manufacturing jobs overseas and brought in cheap foreign labor legally and illegally to take even more of their blue collar manual labor jobs. Then they do things like vote against raising the minimum wage which raises wages across the board. So when they end up working in some shitty low paying service job that has replaced the manufacturing jobs they used to have they bitch about how their wages aren't high enough and they can't afford anything. They get super focused on taxes to autistic levels and go around bitching about how high they are saying that's why their pay is shit. Meanwhile the Walmart family goes out and buys a new million dollar yacht every few years. I know, Walmart is a dated reference. But it makes my point.

They also seem to worship rich people and the rich people hate them. It's really weird.

The criticism in this thread seems to have boomers in mind. If you're a young white dude and you're smart, strong and capable and you see right-wingers under the age of 40, you're not seeing smart, strong capable men who are fighting against decay, you're seeing a bunch of bitter, misanthropic sexless gremlins whining about how over it is and how awful their life is while larping as ubermensch. I have to say I'm noticing American politics is starting to take on aspects of English politics. When I look at Trump's biggest detractors it comes from the educated upper middle class. In many ways this is the same class of the puritans in England and the settlers.
This creates a weird dynamic I've noticed with people like Trump, Elon musk, Patrick bet David, vs someone like Nikki Haley who thinks they were poor because they only made 100k a year. This creates a class of people who aren't super rich but they're very wealthy to the point they can not have a bad economy affect them as much. If it gets too expensive shopping at whole foods well there is trader Joe's.
There seems to be a large snobbish base of conservatives and neoliberals to a lesser degree which despise the working class salt of the earth types. It's kind of like the dynamics between someone who is rich vs really rich the upper Middle class and lower upper classes almost despise the poor. Where the super rich tend to have respect for them as at some point unless you're doing everything yourself you know that if you're stuck on a mountain snowed in the redneck in the 4x4 probably a better person and less of a hassle than the I fly exclusive jets.

If you see the lines between the new left and right forming today it is along these lines.

This is why Trump alienates the college educated elites, he represents anti intellectualism and the idea the plebs are capable of ruling themselves.

The right - naturally stands in opposition as this seems to go against the right wing ideals of freedom. The idea that you need to go to college to become a florist, trucker, or make a living wage without government assistance is fundamental to the right wing beliefs. This is why Trump is loved by so many old guard socialists and actual conservatives.

Much like troons, liberals reproduce via conversion. The education system exists to push propaganda and brainwash a subsequent generation of youth. And its "get 'em when they're young". They used to start introducing the propaganda in elementary schools, but now it's also for toddlers and babies with hit books like Ibram X. Kendi's picture book "Antiracist Baby." But it's still middle school where they drop the hard-hitting stuff about how awesome gay sex is, how white Christians caused all society's problems, and why socialism is awesome, and if your parents disagree, then they're part of the problem. That's what every middle schooler believes--their parents are the problem, so these ideas MUST be the solution.

Pop culture is the number two source. That's where they reinforce simplistic views of the world, promote egoistic postmodernist morality, glorify antireligious science worship, and sometimes (especially now) outright push propaganda. You get misconceptions emerge from there too like "McCarthy was an evil freedom hating monster who persecuted poor innocent Hollywood directors and Oppenheimer!"

That's why conservatives are screwed.

Because the 1950s LARP isn't wrong, it's just badly communicated. The 1950s was by all standards the golden age of American civilization. The United States had 1/3 of the world's economy within our borders and we rewarded hard work and innovation making the boomers/turboboomers (born 1930 - 1950) the single most successful and wealthy generation in history. It was a high trust, low crime society with ample employment, good retirement benefits, plenty of social welfare/help if you needed it, strong labor unions that kicked out communists (they were banned from labor unions after the Communist Control Act was passed).

What's not to love about that? Why should anyone want to NOT return to the 1950s? If I had to market it to younger people, I'd point out all this stuff. Younger people love the government, and I'd show them a time when the government actually helped the average American become rich and have things. You'll hear a lot about how young people are underemployed, or how they don't have anything. Well guess what, back in the 50s people had things, and lots of it.

But instead, we let these commie fucks in the education system and media deconstruct the 1950s as being like Nazi Germany with Americans, where men beat their women every night after a day of cheering on the cops shooting black people with firehoses. I think the latest push about villifying suburbs and promoting public transit is related to this, since they hate the idea of owning a car, let alone your own house, which was achievable for most Americans starting in the 50s.
