General Discussion for Virtual Youtubers / Vtubers / Chuubas - it's okay to be a simp for 2D, just don't thirstpost.

This is pretty well up there with "you know they're just men with voice changers" in terms of how often I see it tossed around when pretty simple observation tells otherwise.

Sorry mate, you seem to have fallen in love with a cartoon character. The video you posted a link to, is also very clearly just hired dancers. There is never a point where all those VA's were in the same place (presumably japan) to make that video. Dancers need to spend a full time job to practice their coordination. Hololive use the line "going to dance practice" as a euphemism for going to the gym.

For example take the Hololive Promise 3D collab

There are several points where they do coordinated dance sections, where it’s clearly just hired dancers. Like are we to believe that Iris and Bae suddenly learned to Samba? Or Kronii who always said she hates dancing, and is bad at it, suddenly was able to coordinate perfectly? Use some brain power.

We also get an encore at the end, which DOES seem to be danced by the VAs. This is what a VA dance section actually looks like. Fun, but uncoordinated with only basic choreo.

There are too many examples to mention but think about when Leslie’s father commented (negatively) on that dance with Gura she did as Bae a while back. The obvious thing to comment on was the slutty dancing while looking like a child. But no, he commented on the falsetto singing, saying anyone can do that. Obviously that wasn’t Leslie dancing, just singing.

Check out the Holotori Dance 3D video too https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzbB-rLw4SQ
Those VAs weren't together when Mumei has been chronically ill. They didn't even get the VAs to sing a new version of the song. Its just the official recording, with a few effects added. Even the dancers they hired look bored and sick of that dance while they perform it.

You also seem to have blocked me for telling the truth? So I can't Quote you directly? It was Burnt Fish BTW.

That's a board issue with larger posts; I can't just hit "quote" for your post, either. You have to highlight the part you want to quote, and you'll get a pop-up that allows you to quote it.

Fair enough, I may have been ignorant of that board rule. Only the post i was looking at wouldn't let me quote it, all of the rest were fine. If my mistake, my bad. My post won't let me edit it to say so there.

Eimi is doing her birthday countdown stream and using a neat 3D environment. She's able to move the camera around too.

Sleppy dragon is live in 30 to serenade you.

This is one of the most scuffed streams I've seen in a while, very entertaining from a cringe perspective. Makes me think of early Uruka streams for some reason.

Speaking of cringe, pink rabbit is doing a deep dive into Warriors (the YA cat novels) RP drama:

We found Panko's FB on TVA (shout out Amoeba), but everything but three images are private. The doxer got her mother, not her.

Here's her sister, too.

And her mother. Who has at least four different accounts.

Apparently she also has a private instagram account, but I couldn't find it. This is her profile picture for it, though.

I'm not sure if you just somehow missed the fact that in the lead up to events like the promise collab you posted in your post, the girls literally do all go to the same place, Japan, to rehearse and record. But my main takeaway from your posts has largely been that you seem to severely overestimate the difficulty level of the fairly basic dancing that goes on in this stuff, 90% of it is standing stationary and just moving to the beat with some arm movements he most "difficult" aspect of this would just be memorizing it. stuff like the holotori dance especially is intentionally that way to encourage viewers to submit videos of themselves doing the dances.

Like genuinely I've seen more intense choreo just going to friends and extended family events and weddings and stuff Black/latin american families all knowing the same fucking dances, Polish families where even the 5-6 year old kids know how to polka dance. all showing coordination between the people dancing without them ever "practicing together", even rednecks know how to line dance. Humans have been doing this shit for literally thousands of years. So it's actually baffling to me that you see some girls shuffle their feet and move their arms in unison and immediately cry "Paid Actors!" ignoring that that facade would be more effort to keep up for all parties involved than just learning the simple routines.

Lmao. Nine posts, and they're literally all about this shit.

Shiina in phase has mentioned she is ESL, which if true is really impressive considering she sounds more fluent than a large portion of “native” speakers :story: Does anyone know what her actual native language is?

Not exactly. She called herself Chinese on her PL, but has also said numerous things that make people think she's Korean or mixed, or Chinese from Korea, or the opposite or something. She's also mentioned learning some French as a small child IIRC. I think her first language was likely Chinese though.

Happened to come across this 1 year old clip the other day. Apparently she grew up in a place where they literally throw their shit out the window into a ditch. I think we can rule out (South) Korea unless she was born in the 1950s, so I'm going to go with China.

Ghostarchives for the links:
Panko
Crazy but hilarious momma Panko
Sister facebook and instagram

Here's Airi's instagram as well and her two twitter accounts, although those are still up.

Still no part two with Lumi or Ember, my disappointment is immense. The https://haveibeenpwned.com/ on the emails are interesting. A couple of them are in Wattpad, Panko's is in a League of Legends leak (disgusting), Airi and Shiina are in Roll20 and a Yu-Gi-Oh thing respectively (nerds), and Uruka got leaked by her university and was in a now deleted pastebin (fuck California). Rie, who I expected to be one of the more retarded ones, doesn't show up in any listed breaches. I wonder if she actually compartmentalizes her emails or if she's just gotten lucky?

Unless Pancho's mom caught terminal yellow fever between the first and second daughter, and Panko caught all of the rice farming genes, I don't think that's her.
She looks less chinky chongy in some of the other photos they grabbed but significantly more bipolar stabby. Not that that's a bad thing :)

why the long face? she kinda look like Spherehunter lol.

now this stream was fun. 2 hours in and made almost zero progress. the lack of direction most truly be an Asian thing while constantly getting distracted a women thing. god help us if she ever decides playing the second game.

atleast the tard rage in 1:38:00 was kino. oh, and the Leafy cosplay was cute.

Still no part two with Lumi
If you know what Russian noble she's claimed to be descended from, someone on TVA found her dox through that. Went down the list of descendants, found the ones that live in New England, and then found which one is currently living in California.

Edit:

I also have an independent Lumi that I’ve been sitting on. For independent verification, I did genealogical research on a white Russian noble she boasted about on stream and traced his current descendants to New England, then cross-referenced the family tree with West Coast universities that had a European departmental trip at the appropriate times and destinations, and found a name and a major that matched her stream comments. From there, social media was easy.

A retard tourist being retarded while engaging in tourism. Quelle surprise.

He's almost correct - they are by definition "professional dancers". They are paid to learn and perform dances. It comes with the territory of being in Hololive.

not a rule, it's on purpose. n00l explained it at some point but cba to dig up the post. something something posts too long because people quote whole walls of text or something.
edit timer ends after a certain time or amount or replies etc., never really looked into it. don't worry too much about it, the only really soft rule is no doubleposting (usually).

Airi and Shiina are in Roll20 and a Yu-Gi-Oh thing respectively (nerds),
>nerd
nice
>roll20
FUCKING 5E NORMIEFAG REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

If you know what Russian noble she's claimed to be descended from
the fact alone that the lemon is some degree of princess explains the fucking smugness, it all makes sense now.
would've loved to see pippa's reaction when she first heard about it, just for the extreme level of "class divide". I can literally hear the "stop bullshitting me. what? no?!"
