I don't know, if you look at how societies throughout history have treated women, the heavy restrictions they placed on them would indicate women have always been like this and it required a heavy society-wide hand to keep them from jumping on whatever passed for a bad boy at the time. I'm no fan of religion to be honest, but Islam and Christianity had it right when they said "sex is an obligation that a husband and a wife have to each other." In the same way that a husband should provide for his family, raise his kids, help out with chores etc., a wife should put out for her husband. A husband should do what he can to woo his wife of course, but ultimately, she should put out.
