From what I've noticed over the years online, generally the people who *do* actually use kinks like these as trauma coping mechanisms are very quiet about it - they tend to not be open about it at all, and a lot of them are quite embarrassed or ashamed to have kinks relating to their trauma.
Tumblr and the like have created these weird circles in fandom where having otherwise "unacceptable" kinks (i.e. rape, underage, incest, etc) is suddenly A-OK if you're using it as a "coping" method, or at the very least, frees you from any kind of persecution. Because saying you're an assault victim using graphic rape porn to deal with it, is a fast and easy way to make anyone even remotely expressing discomfort with it look like the bad guy. It really is a get out of jail free card for these people in the right circles because if you claim you're a victim, no one wants to be that one guy questioning the truth of your statements.

Just because it's a coping mechanism doesn't mean it's a good one. There are plenty of bad coping mechanisms, and watching illegal/immoral porn is one of them.
Anyway, I'm legit curious why she thinks sharing all of her creepy gross shit on twitter is a good idea. She has only a few friends who agree with her, so is it a tiny hugbox thing?
