Not to continually harp on the meltdown and deletion scare, but I do want to say that it's sad to see the owner of this site use the same rhetoric and rhetorical strategy to describe the DSP sub forum as others have used to describe KF in mainstream media channels. (And like others, I want to also say my piece and hate the PoP ban)
No question that the Comcast dude did something that raises legal questions and posted about it on KF. But that user doesn't represent KF much in the same way they don't represent the DSP sub forum.
I'de also like to say that because this happened in the sub forum doesn't mean the sub forum is the problem as there are flagrant ethical and legal questions all over this site. Just in recent news, the leak of hazbin hotel episodes 1 and 2 are hosted directly on KF without due critique (the legal question of fair use). My report, thinking the content should be adjusted at best to reflect more obvious critique, was rejected because the mod said they would wait for a dmca request first.
So when the leader comes in to say how bad the DSP sub forum is, it really feels like whatever the leader is pointing to in this sub forum is indicative of how they are begining to laud the larger laissez faire mentality that originally founded this forum and is more the reason for constantly hoping from dogshit host to dogshit host. Sure, trannies are the big shakers and movers for deplatforming KF, but if deer feeder would be proactive rather than reactive towards maintaining a reputable site in user opinion and in general (i.e. keep his nose clean from multiple lawsuits) then perhaps he would have a much better report with these larger companies.
