Unless Biden pulled some big diplomatic strings for Gonzalo (LMFAO) he was on his own, the moment he entered the dungeon.
Big diplomatic strings my ass. Just let this clown go would have done. These cunts would already be nothing but a Russian rump state without our materiel. If anything Biden is this clown's puppet, not the other way around.
They let him die on purpose to send a message. The ex-spokestroon is even saying as much publicly.
"Who's next" indeed. Hope he catches a bullet but AIDS is a more likely culprit.

this misses the point so hard that it almost feels bad faith. I'm sure its great faith, the best faith AUGH YEAH

Ralph went abroad, got beat up by Portuguese nationals, and went home. What the fuck do you expect anyone to do about that? The US government cant hold foreigns accountable for what they did in their own country. The suggestion that my argument about Gonzo's case is comparable to Ralph in portugal, is rated R for Retarded.

A US passport was never a "fuck around the world without consequence" card and I dont think it should be. Any US national that gets caught diddling in Thailand should be put on a rocketship to Jupiter. This is not the same thing. Gonzo was being held for, and ultimately died for, a crime that IS NOT A CRIME IN AMERICA. In fact, its so much not a crime, that we have a national ethos based around it. Not only that, but he was being held by a government who is ENTIRELY BEHOLDEN to the United States and would be functionally forced to comply if anyone in the state department so much as picked up a fucking phone. Its extremely important to understand that in order to understand the angle of the argument here. Its really got nothing to do with Gonzo at all its a matter of principle, or rather, lack thereof.
This really hits the nail on the head. Lira was a fucking retard and he had plenty of times and chances to prevent this from happening. None of that negates the fact that Lira was imprisoned for a right that the USA so nationally enshrines that it is literally the First Amendment in the founding nation's Bill of Rights. He was being imprisoned by a country that is at the USA's beck and call and very much reliant upon the USA funneling billions to them, which so far has totaled to over $75 billion. It would have been easy to get him released. The USA didn't because troons and leftoids were concern-sperging and cheering for him to suffer and die. Not because he did anything truly wrong or illegal, under USA legal standards and rights, but because they didn't like his opinions, who he was. A notion antithetical to USA law and ethos of due protection of rights.

This willful negligence looks even worse given that the USA State Department knew about Lira being imprisoned by Ukraine and that they did a prison swap for Britney Griner. By contrast, Griner was imprisoned by Russia for bringing narcotics (marijuana concentrate) into Russia. Such action is also federally illegal in the USA. In both countries, what she did was a crime. Yet the USA traded the most prolific modern-era black-market arms smuggler and dealer, who cut his teeth in Ukraine during the tumultuous years in the immediate aftermath of Ukraine's split from Russia, for Griner.

There is little argument that Lira fucked himself over with his actions, but that doesn't handwave away that Biden admin willfully ignored him having his fundamental rights, as viewed by the USA, trampled upon. This isn't like with Otto Warmbier and North Korea, a severely hostile nation to the USA. This is one of the USA's supposed allies and now Lira, an American citizen, is dead directly at the hands of this proclaimed ally because he was saying and journaling things they didn't like. Saying Lira's death will be used as propaganda, promote apprehension about Ukraine, justify RU aggression, etc. does not negate the objectively clear fact that none of this would have happened if SBU had handed him off to the CIA and had him forcibly deported. This fuck up is entirely by their own making and the ambivalence towards his unnecessary death is the point the left wants to cement: who cares about the rights of retarded deplorables? His death for wrong-speak is justified because he, by his very nature of saying and believing things they didn't like, deserved it.

Ukraine arrested him for "justifying the invasion of Russia" and then let him languish and die of heart failure in prison. When UA caught him at the border, they could have easily escorted him out or just let him go. They didn't. Both the USA and UA governments stood there and deliberately let all of this transpire. Let that shit really sink in and don't worry because such stripping of fundamental rights will never happen to you. But if it were to happen to you, it's because you deserved it.

CRP is dead. If he was alive, he would've put himself out there by now. He'd never lay low, even if his life depended on it. Remember when he had the opportunity to flee, and he decided to stream announcing he was going to cross the border and flee before even doing so? Even if the Ukrainians didn't kill him, he would have died from attention-starvation by now, like a lovebird dying from loneliness.

Shit, this really came out of left field, huh? Like, if you were making predictions about how CRP's life would end, you'd probably settle on "stabbed by a prostitute in Tampa" long before you arrived at "died in an Eastern European prison". Sometimes this e-celeb drama just gets too real, man.

Well, pour one out for ole Gonzo, I guess. You're supposed to say nice things about people when they die, but nobody likes a liar, right?

out hole mass crp his bird squawking ass save him some journalist in lavi, ruond up. under house AREST. silence fad black to silence death or keep squaking figer he live longer. say stuff. he dead man walking anyway. what confirm the body or funny business may happin in all.
Are you okay bud? Sounds like you had a stroke.

"If you don't do X, Y, and Z, you're entire country is going to be cut off from the West."

I can't think of a situation where one country had more leverage over the other without the outright threat of extermination.
I once saw a video of Joe Biden bragging about effectively blackmailing former president Poroshenko into scking of of his own top officials by threatening to withhold US funding. Not only did Poroshenko fire the man, but, apparently, he did it in time for Sleepy Joe's flight back to Washington.

I think CRP said in a video he had heart failure and wasn't going to live super long. The lungs filling up could have been some kind of infection from prison or a side effect of his heart failure. He should have been on hospice and not spazzing out in a foreign country.
He probably kept crying wolf over his health the whole time he was in custody, so when he developed something serious nobody believed him.

I blame the people who killed him. "He was stupid so it was okay" is not a defense to murder.
Why is it assumed he was murdered rather than got sick and was in a former soviet country's prison hospital so may have not gotten the greatest care?

Even in US prisons you can expect the healthcare to be shit, so prisoners can often be left to try and self medicate.

Could Putin possibly have had a hook in CRP?
I'm only asking because I still can't quite understand how a man that's a fairly successful businessman/grifter could be this retarded.
I understand that he thought the Russians would take Kharkiv early on, but after that? Why didn't he flee? He could have been shitposting outside of the country and it's not like he ever left the safety of his hotell anway?

By the way what about his family? Didn't he get an Ukranian wife? Didn't he have children there? I Have these faint recollections of this from watching various videos about and from him.

What happened to them?

Lira made a video in between his arrests and made claims that his captors were forcing other prisoners to beat him. When the state department was asked about it, they constantly dodged the question. I personally think that if he died of natural causes, both the US and Ukrainian governments would have at least done a press release about it. Optics are bad right now, and the fact that everyone seems to be burying their head in the sand is pretty damning.

The video he did where I think he suggested prisoners scratched his eye with a toothpick was weird, but honestly I'm not sure who wouldn't want to bully him given he was in there for being supportive of those killing their friends/neighbors.

Regarding the death notice, you're hoping their prison system is really that on top of things to keep everyone up to date on someone who is really a random nobody. He matters to some right wingers online, but that's about it. Any random politician asked about him is probably wondering who the fuck he is and then finding out he was some weird MGTOW dating advice guy turned political commentator. Which then opens up more questions about why he was there, what the hell he was doing and so on.

The story behind him doesn't really invoke a lot of sympathy.

Quite the opposite. The normies that find out about him aren't going to know he was a sperg. If they know at all, they're just going to know he was a US citizen and maybe a journalist.

The news has already made the rounds through Tucker, Elon, and the Youtube pundits. That's probably 50+ million people that didn't know he existed last week.
