This situation makes me sad. I think I made the case when the comcast incident happened that, in summary, if you are a scammer then you probably deserve what minor misfortunes come to you, even if they’re not morally “just” actions to impose on people in and of themselves. People who behave like Phil reap what the sow. I don’t see a lot of people if any really calling for Phil to be outright deplatformed, and I also don’t see almost anyone calling for others to report Phil to the IRS. But I also think it’s hypocritical of Null to get upset about people celebrating some small karmic justice while also covering incidents like the Ralph IRL fight, and also a bit ionic when now the plan is to have people report content they disagree with to ISPs. I understand that plan is meant to exhibit how those sorts of reports shouldn’t be regulated by ISPs, but functionally it’s no different than reporting Phil to the IRS.

I also disagree with the point that Null raised about Keffals scam. I don’t understand how you can take the position that if you beg for money and knowingly misallocate the funds raised that it’s just whatever and you can do what you want with other peoples money despite it not going towards what you declared it to be used for. That’s called acting in bad faith, and it is objectively scummy and wrong. If Null were to ask for donations for a legal defense against some frivolous lawsuit and it was discovered he spent it on feeder porn would his response then just be “lol sorry my money now I can do what I want ”? I don’t think he’d do this, because he knows it’s morally reprehensible, so why defend it? I think that’s the most egregious and confusing point I’ve seen him raise. Why are we making a case for Ethical Scamming? This stance in particular is wrong and impossible to defend IMO.

I keep up with highlighted news here and occasionally check in on other boards. I like Null and wish him the best, and would like to stay on KF so long as the DSP discussion is welcomed here. A bunch of good posters get banned but here comes Marlin, emailing Josh while in that email telling Josh that he has made several sock accounts because he got banned for advertising, to then be the first person who Null banned to get unbanned and start sperging. Well I'm not going to argue whether scamming is right or wrong, I know that it's a wrong thing to do.

My main purpose of using this site is to just laugh at goofy shit. When someone does something funny but morally wrong I will laugh at it instead of kvetching whether what they do is right or wrong. Like Ralph planning to kidnap Chris-Chan and drag him to the Killstream kompound back in 2021 by using his horse tranny fiancee to lure Chris out. I think this whole situation is pretty sad, but at the same time it was largely avoidable. I watched this shitshow unfold since Null made his formal address of the situation. To begin with, I was highly sceptical of Null and his orbiters, because they made many statements which were either vague or plainly untrue, showing lack of research on the topic. As someone who has lurked the subforum for many years before making an account, I knew for a fact that a big chunk of what was said was factually incorrect or incomplete. That did not build a strong case for Null, so in that sense I had a lot of sympathy for the subforum even if I don't really like a lot of the users here.

The whole debate, if you can even call it that, was characterised by broad statements, painting the subforum as universally repugnant and incompatible with the entirety of the website. Almost none of the statements really meant anything without a preconceived idea of what the subforum was. Particularly the orbiters would make many weak arguments, such as:

• "I don't care about the subforum, so it should be gone." This is not really an argument, just unbridled narcissism and/or thoughtlessness. If the forum ooperated on this princple then it would not last a decade and counting. I don't care about Ethan Ralph or Chris Chan. Should those subforums be gone? No, of course not.
• "The users are obsessed with Phil. That's a-logging." This is an extremely weak argument, since the metric for obsession is almost completely subjective. Again, if the forum operated on this principle, nobody would say anything so as to not be labelled as obsessive/a-logging.
• "The users only ever post on the subforum." Never really understood this one. I also only frequent three or four threads – not even a subforum – and check community-driven happenings. Should I be banned? Probably the most mystifying non-argument I have read in the whole situation.

I could go on, but it was obvious that most of the people understood the situation through Null's assessment, which obviously left a lot to be desired in terms of objectivity and charitable painting of the subforum's situation. This is why I proposed a solution for both sides that dealt with hard facts and research rather than nebulous, meaningless, bickering posts. Seeing concrete examples of posts that violate the site's ethos would have been infinitely better than whatever the fuck we got in the last three days.

However, a few users did come out after almost 24 hours with concrete examples of posts that are most certainly contrary to what Kiwi Farms stands for. For example, this post of our former moderator 'clothes in the closet' goading the Comcast dentractor to reveal any e-mail addresses if Phil has them. This is most certainly something that could be legally problematic, and probably is legally problematic. This is not the kind of behaviour users should be encouraging, even if the crime already happened.

Or the information that our former moderator 'Agent Proper' profited off DSP's content, linking his livestreams on here to drive traffic on his channel. This is problematic at best. Null claims he didn't know about this, which is disconcerting. This is something a moderator should absolutely tell to the administrator if it's an acceptable move. It's Null's forum. It does pain me to think about what would happen if we had a systemic investigation into the subforum, with a report that deals with facts and statistics.

Lastly, there is the general reaction from the subforum where all around no effort was made to extend an olive branch to Null. I am not going to engage in the same subjective assessments and say "all of you were shit-flinging at Null," because that is obviously not true. In the end, Null banned only 20 users, not all of the subforum. However, there were many users, who were not a-logs, downdooting every post in threads about the situation that was even mildly critical of the subforum's conduct. Instead of trying to engage with Null's arguments, most either kept silent or insulted Null and his orbiters. I read all of these posts myself, not someone else's assessment. I can only say it was a disappointing display and it made me finally realise where Null was coming from, even though I find his approach to the situation pants-on-head retarded.

This is my perspective as someone who is only interested in seeing Kiwi Farms survive the onslaught of extremely retarded tech oligarchs and a slant-eyed rapist in a dress trying to destroy the website, and the Internet in the process. At the same time, I am not a stranger to the subforum, and I enjoy Phil as a lolcow greatly. It would be preferable if everyone just got along. At the same time, all I can say is that you guys didn't really help your case. You could have investigated yourself; call out the moderator on his YouTube gig and ask questions that might be of interest to both Null and other users on the site. This is not the first time this has happened either, yet the complacency is evident. You really did not help yourselves, and that's just disappointing.
