I know when I've flown from American cities to Japan, ANA actually bring their own jap crew over to handle everything, from the front desk to the workers on the runway. And they do that honorable little thing of bowing when the plane taxis off to fly to glorious Nippon. I'll fly KLM too with no worries, and Southwest with a strong sense of "see something, yell something" but everyone else I don't trust. United scares the absolute shit out of me and they were terrible before all this stuff happened.
