This begs the question, why does Jon Malin seem to have an immunity card within EVS's CG? Granted, he's the most senior crony within the group and he drew the original Jawbreakers... yeah, so? He has no charisma, no charm, low YT viewership, hasn't had impressive sales numbers in years and the ones he had were because of the access he has to Frog's paypigs. He's a mediocre artist and a pos writer with sophomoric edgelord tendencies. He's almost as worthless as Anna or Cecil... well, maybe... he can (barely) draw better than Anna, but even before her boob job she was genuinely more entertaining than Malin. Even Cecil is a better guest on Frog's channel (for what that's fucking worth).
Plus, he costs CG potential recruits by imposing his KS anathema within the group.
What's he got on VanSciver that his tenure within CG seems secure?
Basically, he’s not a threat, not that smart, easy to flatter/sway, knows his place and truly believes in CG.
In my opinion EVS doesn’t view Jon as a threat - Jon’s art style is basic, his writing is supposedly terrible, and his entertainment skills when solo are less than great (while Ethan is a narcissist who thinks he excels in all those areas).
Malin is easily manipulated into getting riled up and overly emotional, so Ethan is able to pit him against someone he doesn’t like and then stand back and act like he had no part.
Malin shares Ethan’s ability to provoke a crowd, which can be useful to have on your side, but not so great to have against you.
Malin can be witty on shows (not always easy to find), and can be a helpful ‘Coach’ on occasion and thus a fan favourite. There is a risk of losing hardcore CG fans by being divided.
Malin has made it clear that he likes being 2nd in command. He enjoys that level of power and doesn’t appear to thirst for more.
Malin has overlooked fuckery from Ethan before, which means he’s shown that he can be loyal, despite knowing that Ethan is a POS. And Jon forgiving past stuff means that there’s greater chance that he will continue to do so.
Ethan has dirt on Malin that he could use against him if needed (Ethan likes to have receipts on friends/ possible enemies), such as Jon’s messages to Doug Ernst shit-talking him from back in the day, which most of his audience probably don’t know about. Then there’s Jon’s ‘bullying’ and severe stances on things like KS, which can be spun into a negative if necessary (even though Ethan started off / encouraged a lot of the behaviours when you actually go back and look).
The CG audience are basically braindead followers who are easily stirred up into being a hateful mob (as seen recently), and Jon has shown to be okay with that, and likely will be, until, like most other CGers before him, it’s finally his head on the chopping block- which could happen at any moment. Narcissists expect loyalty but will never give it, not really. Ethan doesn't think CG is about anyone but him, no matter his claims.
To him, and many others, it's just his fan-club.
This clip is getting outrage on X:

He wants to say it's just him though. He's almost there:
I think there is a possibility that Jon and Shane will ditch Ethan together at some point though. I was watching some of their streams and Shane said something like ‘I let people get away with too much, that’s what my mom told me too.’ Right before ‘I think Ethan looks at me with complete hatred and disgust sometimes’. And on one of his rumble streams Jon commented on how Ethan spoiled his book and said a couple of times that he doesn’t 'know why he did it’ like Jon knew there was a reason for the back-stab, but also knew he had to let it go and not make a fuss. So both Malin and Davis already do not trust him.
The two seem to be getting closer in general anyway. They planned that convention cover together without telling Ethan about it for months, then Jon let Shane and Mandy read Omega Storm first (my theory for why Ethan spoiled his book is that it was revenge for him being last to know everything when he believes he's their leader), and also Malin said Shane and him are starting a new show together for ‘members only’ this year.
Maybe they’ll decide to lose the fat-fuck mobster wannabe if their views continue to grow and/or everybody gets sick of Ethan’s drama.
It is somewhat amusing that this disgusting specimen believes that he is some sort of mob boss of indie comics:

I didn't find the drama streams that I skipped through entertaining, so possibly(?) didn't catch the best parts, but I might respond later to a few standout points that I did see (if I can be bothered - I am generally meh about everyone or outright dislike those involved). I'm also having trouble uploading stuff, so might not be able to anyway.
Here's some at least:
Ethan says about Kelsey - 'You made your choice...you ally yourself with people who choose to be my enemies."
That was supposed to be Ethan's issue with Rippa, right? That Eric was trying to say who he was allowed to associate with. Incredible.
YF posted receipts from an 'old WC discord'.
Ethan calls them fake:
I have no way of knowing if the screenshot is fake, although I do wonder why someone would make it just so Tug wouldn't trust Ethan (because, SPOILER: TUG hasn't trusted Ethan for a long time), or even to make Tugs fans mad at Ethan (as they have to be mostly Amber Heard haters who dgaf about comics). Plus, Ethan a schemer? Truly, you should be wearing a helmet if you haven't realised that at this point.
But in regards to him ever being in WC discords, Ryzie did claim he saw EVS in them.
While I may not find it interesting to listen to a drunk guy screaming obscenities in the CG slums, I have heard Ryzie make
valid points before, and with an audience of about 7, why even bother lying? Make of it what you will...
(Livestream from Dec 2022:
Batman/spawn review cg year in review ( A drunk Ryzie appears))
In the unlikelihood that Anna sees this video, she will still believe Ethan 'likes' her no matter what. She's desperate to be loved by her replacement family of internet friends. I'm at a point where I feel she deserves to have people like that in her life. The stuff with her 'dead sister' should have been unforgivable, but she turned a blind eye and chose to believe whatever, as long as she got compliments from those she wanted validation from.
Returning to TUG not trusting Ethan though, I saw his content the least of anyone in this retarded space, but when I did check him out, I heard him on streams making vague, bitter comments that were obviously referring to EVS, and in one stream (back when the Amber Heard stuff was going on) he literally said that he would 'never join a group, and that is why he has never claimed to be CG.' That was about a week before he got heat from the media, decided he needed CG as 'allies' and then broadcast that he was CG.
He trusts Ethan about as much as anybody should trust TUG.
Whether or not they are fake shouldn't matter though tbh. EVS recently said WC should come back after he received an email from Ro (posted about on the farms), and used the fact they needed to sell comics to try and get them in-line. So the talking points match exactly. Add that to the screenshots between him and WC that have been proven to be real and anyone with a brain would get a pretty clear picture that EVS was fine with those guys as long as they were going after anyone but him and he could side-step blame for it.
Also EVS used to shit-talk TUG on air, saying he was lying about the mail-box etc (I'm not disagreeing, but still).
There really seems little point to faking them, even with, or maybe especially with, Tug in mind.
BTW Does this sound like an abusive asshole right after he has slapped his wife around, or what?
